Human's and Demon's: Through Time and Space

Hope you like this was a hard chapter I had trouble getting everything in order as the episode went other than that enjoy. I keep having a hard time adding my personality to myself in this fic but somehow it always follows in to place.

Chapter 5: Aristocratic Assassin, Sesshomaru a Past Acquaintance


My head jerked up, my ears pricked forward as I sat up and opened my eyes. My breathing was calm as I got up on to my feet my eyes narrowed as they searched for what had bothered me from my deep sleep. I then shifted my legs and jumped up on to the branch Inuyasha was using. I perched there my ears shifting for every sound when I heard Inuyasha shift. “What you doing?” I looked back at him and saw his narrowed eyes on me as perched in front of him.


I then turned away partly to look out in to the darkness though I could still see him out the corner of my eye. “Nothing really. I just felt something in the air and it woke me.” I could see Inuyasha’s brows fall in to a thinking expression as he shifted to get up, I then turned my full attention back out to the darkness still wandering what could have woken me. “Are you sure?” I again looked to my side and was nearly startled to find him perched next to me looking out in to the darkness of the night as well.


“Yeh.” I then sighed and turned my attention back out to the darkness though I was aware of how close Inuyasha was to me, I was not used to being close to people even though I had helped him walked back to the village and some other times I mostly kept from being touched. “You should sleep.” I felt him turn his head in my direction and settle his eyes on me. “Feh, I’m ok worry about yourself!” I shook my head a small smile on my lips that went unnoticed.


“Hmm? You were hurt worse than me and need the sleep to heal you baka(1), so go to sleep.” I could hear him huff, as he settled down next to me, comfortably balanced as was I perched listening to the night. “Huh, I will not sleep until you settle, I wouldn’t want you to hurt yourself by falling out of this tree because of your injuries.” I then leaned my arms on my legs and relaxed as I looked at him fully. “Then we will be awake for half the night until my alertness calms down.” He just snorted with a “Feh” and did not answer as we both enjoyed each other’s quiet company.

Next morning…


My ears twitched and my eyes opened sleepily as I listened to what had woken me as I lazily watched the butterflies and birds fly by. Soon though I was wide-awake and stretched as I yawned my body fully relaxed for once. I then pushed myself up in to a kneeling position and stretched again another yawn escaping me as I shook my head my hair immediately loosing its tangles as I brushed my hand though my silky locks. ~Sure is nice not having to worry about tangles in my hair in the morning~ I snorted at my thoughts I have been a half-demon for a week and a … how long had it been now? I sighed at myself exasperated as looked around from the tree Inuyasha had been trapped to a couple of days ago.


~Where could he have gone~ I stood up and jumped down form the branch I had been sleeping on as I sniffed the air for Inuyasha’s scent. But the only one I caught was Kagomi’s scent from the direction of the village. I then shrugged my shoulders and began to run, my speed as a half-demon increasing every day as I got better and better at balancing and stopping from fast speeds, towards the village hoping that where Kagomi was Inuyasha would be as well.

5 minutes later…


I looked around the village as I walked around for the two of them and sighed as I frowned. ~Where the hell could they have gone. Fuh they could not have just vanished in to thin air!~ I snorted as I jumped on top of one of the buildings, my hand shielding my face as I looked around. ~There~ I gave a small smile as I spotted them at one of the trees, or should I have said one in the tree while the other was on the ground. I then jumped off the building and began to run a human pace over to Inuyasha and Kagomi when I came across Kaede walking in that same direction.


I then came up along side her and slowed down to walk beside her and the children who looked happy to be with her. “Lady Kaede are you all better?” I looked at the child who had her full attention on Kaede. “ie, child almost all better.” I listened to her and was satisfied with the strength of her voice. Then the child stopped in front of Kaede making her stop though she really did not seem to mind. “You gonna find all jewel pieces soon? Huh?” I gave a small smile at this as I watched them interact.


“Ha HaHa, Not soon perhaps, but I. It would help if Inuyasha and yon Kagomi could try and like each other a little more! Isn’t that right Shade.” I blinked a the attention that focused on me “It would help in the long run if they did not fight but I also adds a little fun as well.” I was looking up at the sky as I said this with one hand on my chin as I thought about my answer as my other hands finger curled slightly. Then the child pointed at something “but they do like each other.” I looked down at the child and then with a puzzled expression on both mine and Kaede’s faces looked over at where the child had pointed.


“Eh?” I blinked as I looked my face as straight as possible as I tried to not break down in to sniggers at the sight. “Take it off!” I licked my lips a small smile on my face as I saw Kagomi wrestling to get Inuyasha’s Kimono top off and Inuyasha a furious expression on his face as he tried to get her off “What if I don’t feel like it!” A couple of sniggers came from me as I took about 2 steps forwards my knees trying to buckle under my held back laughs. “Undress!” I could not help it, quiet sniggers erupted under my breath still held in as I watched them knowing soon I was going to break. “Cover ye eyes!” and when I saw that Inuyasha and Kagomi had noticed their audience I could not hold it in any more and fell to my knees sniggers coming out loudly as I shook my body shaking with the laughter of the two in front of me.


“May hap ye like each other more than I first thought!” I had calmed down by this time and was watching small sniggers still erupting from my giggle fest, not that I had one very often, and nearly erupted again from Kaede’s words. “Hey!” I had stood up a small smile back on my face as I walked over to them both. “I thought you would have realized now that my body’s different!” With that he showed his chest with no scar or wound on it and I raised a hand to my neck to feel smooth skin with no cuts or anything to show evidence of my last fight.


“It’s already gone!” I came and stood next to Inuyasha who didn’t look bothered that I had just appeared even though Kagomi jumped with fright. “For so great a wound to have heal so quickly and leave no scar?” I looked at them both at this ~Is it so different from other demons?~ “Look just because what would have killed a human don’t make it a big deal for someone like me!” Kagomi looked shocked at this “So is it normal then for my wounds to have done the same?” They all looked at me as I said this and Inuyasha looked a bit relived though I did not know why as he nodded.


“Ow!” I looked over at him as he held up his hand and came over to look in to his hand with Kagomi on his right side. “Well if it is not Mioga the Flea.” I looked at the squashed looking creature as it floated to the ground. “Flea?” I sighed as I leaned down and perched on my feet as I looked down at the flea, then Inuyasha half kneeled as he looked at the flea. “Well what you come to see me about?” I tilted my head as I saw the flea return to its previous state unsquished. “Lord Inuyasha, I’ve come to uh,cu,hu,hu” then he was out cold. I blinked once and then looked up at Kagomi’s face that looked unimpressed.


“What’s that do?” Inuyasha looked bit puzzled at her as I just picked up the flea with my finger and placed him in my palm. “Eh? Whoops!” She looked a bit discontented at the face Inuyasha made at her. I just got up and began to walk back to Kaede’s place my attention on the two behind me and a strange hurting in my chest.

Later on…


“What do you mean someone’s trying to find my dad’s tomb!” My eyes were closed as I leaned against the wall my arms crossed, my expression unreadable “As guardian of his final resting place I could bare it no longer!” My eyes opened as I looked at the flea that I was still trying to wrap my mind around “So you took off and came here instead!” I then looked at the flames the dance of the brightness calming me down “It’s the remains that are important and they are no longer there.” My brow furrowed as I looked up at Inuyasha’s sceptical face.


“Oh, so where are the remains then?” I looked back at the flea as he shook his head “Regrettably sire, no-one knows” I snorted at this as Inuyasha took on a bored look as he rested his head on his arm ~He looks … Cute~ I nearly moved at the shock of my thoughts ~What the hell am I thinking~ “Some guardian you are” I smiled slightly and closed my eyes again as it slipped of my face. “Inuyasha, they say your father was a phantom beast, that the western lands were his domain.” My eyes opened again as a flash went through my vision but was too quick to remember what it was “Can’t says I remember it that way though.”


I sighed as I walked over and sat own next to Inuyasha my shoulder bumping his as I settled looking out the corner of my eyes at him as he looked at me the same questioning, I then shook my head slightly as I turned my attention back on to the flea, “Your father was a demon among demons, great and powerful, his blood was especially delicious and you Lord Inuyasha have inherited that from him.” I looked down my thoughts going in circles, as I looked again in to the flames my ears drooping.


“Wow and what about his mom?” I lifted my head slightly at this my ears perked a little as I wanted to know as well “She was a beauty beyond compare a true…!” I jerked as I saw Inuyasha move and stamp his heal on to Mioga his hair covering his eyes. I stood up slowly as I looked at his profile, shoulders rigged and stiff, clenched fists I was the same when someone talked about the one person I loved who had died in my eyes and heart. “Hey that wasn’t very nice!” Inuyasha walked towards the door “Just drop it ok! She died a long time ago.” He had gone outside by this time and I was already following my heart aching that someone else had gone through the same pain.


“And where are you going Shade!” I looked back at her with haunted eyes, tears hidden in their depths “Don’t, just, not now.” I then stepped outside my ears flat as I walked along the path a tear trickling down my face unnoticed as I hugged myself tight the night was lit up beautifully by the full moon and on any other day I would have been entranced but their words had reminded me what day it was and my heart ached to be reminded.


My eyes were unseeing as I came up to the tree that I had found Inuyasha and Kagomi at earlier (I think it is the same place). I then walked over to the tree and stopped near the trunk and put a hand on the bark my eyes closing. “I don’t want your advice so go away!” My eyes opened not really hearing what he said though it did register somewhere and I walked round to the front of the tree and slid down in to a sitting position my knees pulled up to my chest with my arms around them with my head hidden behind them as I closed my eyes again trying not to see the images of my past and my tears fall.


I felt him land and walk over “I thought I told you…” I raised my head my eyes opening and looking straight through him as tears made their way down as my memory flashed in front of my eyes. {The smell of smoke, panic on my face, as I stumbled through the heat, fire bright, dead bodies, vision going black, as I called out for help} My eyes blinked gritty with tears and ears pressed tight against my skull, I sighed my heart still heavy and shivered as the images passed through my minds eye. “Are you all right now?” I looked up at Inuyasha my expression emotionless as I blinked at him. “Shade?” He looked concerned at me as I turned my face away and stood up wobbling slightly as I looked in to the sky.


I then looked down at Inuyasha my expression one of concern “Something’s coming!” He looked up at me when I pushed pasted him his expression shocked and looked towards the ground. My eyebrows furrowed at this, as I looked back at Inuyasha my eyes narrowed as the wind began to blow very strongly “Kagomi’s down there!” He looked shocked and then all of a sudden grabbed me and jumped to the ground, knocking Kagomi over as he held us both down protectively.


He then let go and I got up on to my hands and knees as attentive as he was to whatever it was that was coming towards our area. “Inuyasha!” My ears flicked in her direction but both of up kept an ear and eye out for what had cause our hackles to rise. “Something’s coming, feel it?” I had got up and was balancing perfectly perched on my feet as I looked up towards the sky at the same time as the other two did. In the sky that had caught my attention was a carriage flying in the sky.


My expression was confused as I stood up fully, my ears perked fully forward as I watched when Inuyasha walked past me a couple of steps “Mo... Mother.” I walked forward and put my hand on his shoulder and he relaxed as I took another step next to him and brushed sides with him as he turned to look at me I met his gaze. “Do not be fooled Inuyasha it could be a trap!” He nodded his head as his put his hand on mine and squeezed it “I understand to ok?” I blinked at his question and nodded as our attentions went back to the carriage in the sky.


Then when the woman called out to him he ran forward and I was jerked forward ~He never let go of my hand?~ “Mother!” I stopped at the same time not wanting to run in to him “She can’t be, your mothers dead remember! You told me that yourself” I listened with half an ear as I looked at the woman, for some odd reason she seemed very familiar to me and I wanted to know why. Why did everything seem to be connected to the memories that I kept on seeing, why I felt I knew these people in person and why did some people seem to know me when I had never been here in my life.


We all watched as the carriage floated up and was crushed in a giant hand, I swallowed as the clouds parted and a giant demon I think it was roared out as it stared at us with red eyes and Inuyasha’s mother caught in its grip. My ears had flattened slightly as I watched sweat beginning to fall down my temple at the size of that demon ~Ok how in all seven hells are we supposed to beat that thing to get her down safe?~ I swallowed again as I moved my fingers and wrapped them round Inuyasha’s hand who still gripped mine for strength.


“Oh no he’s going to hurt your mom.” I then felt him loosen his grip and pull away as he ran towards the creature and jumped his expression furious “Oh no he’s not!” I watched along with Kagomi with wide eyes at this when fire came straight at him and made me gasp my ears once again flat with fright. Then when a second blast came Inuyasha landed looking furious “You missed!” I swallowed and looked up at the monster demon again when something white caught my eye. After taking a few steps forward, with Kagomi behind me, my eyes widened at the resemblance that this demon had to Inuyasha and for god sakes looked familiar to me.


“It is you.” I looked over at Inuyasha as I walked slowly over to him trying to not get noticed. “Sesshomaru!” I blinked as I stopped again a little way from Inuyasha as I looked back up at the figure on the demon. “Indeed, I quite missed you as well, little brother.” My eyes widened at this and I began my walk again my ears pricked for words as I got closer and closer to Inuyasha. “He called you his brother!” I had reached them both as well and rolled my eyes at her so obvious comment. “If you had listened Kagomi then do not state the obvious!” She snorted at this but ignored it for the moment as we both looked up at the one named Sesshomaru.


“A mortal how interesting and …” I looked up at him and swallowed as I moved to Inuyasha’s side as Sesshomaru’s gaze made me twitchy. ~Stop looking at me, stop looking, stop looking please?~ I then brushed his shoulder with mine and relaxed a bit while glaring back at Inuyasha’s brother. “Yea, what of it?” I breathed out exasperated as I kept my gaze on him still trying to figure out what was familiar about this Sesshoumaru to me.


“Others would be shamed but for you little brother she quite suites you, but the half-demon on the other hand…” My eyes narrowed as his gaze turned on me again making my skin crawl. Then he turned his attention to Inuyasha who was getting more and more tense. “These human creatures, I think you would have had enough of them by now, or is it a taste from father.” I had enough and stepped forward before Inuyasha could say anything. “Ay, whatever problem you have leave Inuyasha alone!” His gaze then turned to me and my ears went flat with fright as he glared at me. “Have you forgotten after all these years or will I have to teach you again to respect your elders.” Inuyasha then came up in front of me as I stood there shaking and I leaned my head against his back my eyes half closed.


“Leave her alone. You could not have come all this way to insult us both!” My eyes opened fully as I looked over his shoulder feeling a bit safer as I looked back up at his brother. “Be not a fool, I’ve no such time to waste. The tomb of our father, where must I seek it.” I blinked at this he did not know where it was? “Our fathers tomb? Why ask me?” I looked down at Inuyasha’s tense back and placed a hand there as I looked back up at Sesshomaru. “Seeing yet never seen, protected but never known to its protector, no other clues are known!” I furrowed my eyebrows and began to shift through it all then my head snapped up it couldn’t be could it? “I’ve got no idea what you’re talking about! Besides even if I did there’s no way I’d tell you!”


I swallowed and straightened to look back up at his brother my eyes showing my shock of knowing what he was seeking. “I see. Then you leave me no choice, but to let your mothers suffering convince you.” My eyes widened as a different image overlapped with that one showing a demon woman being pulled apart in front of me by humans who were laughing while father raged as he tried to get to us both as I was forced to watch as my mother screamed.


“Inuyasha!” I looked up my mind becoming resolved, “Nice try jerk she’s been dead for years and we both know it!” I lifted my head my eyes hardened as I moved my fingers in to an attacking position my claws glinting in the moonlight and looked up at the woman who to me looked like my own demon mother in my mind “A trick is it?” I took a step forward and felt the muscles in me coil “You’re the one whose stupid! Recalling spirits from the neverworld is a simple task if you are Lord Sesshomaru! He was so kind to even give her flesh and yet her own son would deny it! How sad to be mother the one such as you!” My lips pulled back as a tint of red flashed in my eyes depths and I took another step forward just a little in front of Inuyasha, he did not notice.


“Inuyasha, I have come back Inuyasha! Back from the world of the dead!” Then as I saw her collapse I exploded running even faster than what Inuyasha could run as he ran for her as well, I jumped up and without warning slashed through the giant demons arm leaving Inuyasha to catch his mother as she fell from harm. I landed near him as we both looked up my expression furious and not hearing anything of what they said. But when the creature began to attack Kagomi and Inuyasha’s mother I ran for them and jumped in front of them at the same time as him and was caught in a bright light from Inuyasha mothers hands.

Different Place…


My eyes opened and I lifted my head my expression in wonder, I lifted myself on to hands and knees to look around at a higher height when I heard a groan next to me, I looked down and saw Inuyasha blink open his eyes and look up I then held down a hand and he took it allowing me to help him up until we were both perched on out feet. “This place.” I looked over at him as he looked at me “Where is it?” I shook my head my expression shifting to one of confusion as I drew myself closer to him and grabbed the top of his Kimono my ears shifting with the sounds I could hear.


“At the border of the spirit world.” We both lifted our heads and turned my hand still tightly gripped on to his Kimono as I looked upon one of the people I knew had something to do with my memories that I had been getting. “I must be crossing over very soon.” We both stood my expression sad as I looked at her and I let go of his Kimono and took a step forward “Crossing over? Oh year right, it happened so long ago I keep forgetting your dead.” My ears were trained on her as she turned away and I looked back at Inuyasha as I started to walk, following her, as was Inuyasha.


“Inuyasha, Shade. You’ve both become men and woman haven’t you?” I tilted my head “Well yeh. We have, though when you died I was just a kid, right?” I looked down at this “Such terrible violent days and both of you all alone? No-one to care for you and then separated at such violent causes.” I looked up and moved over to Inuyasha as he put a hand on my shoulder to comfort us both. She then turned to us and we both watched her “How can you both ever forgive me?” I lowered my head, as Inuyasha turned away “It weren’t that big a deal, I mean…” I then looked up “We turned to the people who cared for us then.” She tilted her head at this he expression sad and I felt tears coming to my eyes as I looked at him helplessly.


“Inuyasha, Shade” We both looked at her she came next to us and we both turned our heads to look at her “Mother.” I let a tear fall at hearing Inuyasha mutter that name “Partings are never easy, you agree?” I looked down as Inuyasha looked over in the distance “I” and walked over to him in front of his mother and put a hand on his back

(1) Baka = Stupid

God took me Hours to do this one as I had the episode up in front of me to refer back to after I had written this chapter and with all the changes ¡¥huff¡¦ I finally completed it.

One Question: When is each movie integrated in to the series, between what episodes? As I will want to get everything in order and not forget the vital parts! So will someone in a review tell me Thanks ļ
