You did WHAT?!?

Disclaimer: Yep, I have a room full of HOT people that I own, but unfortunately none of them are from Inu Yasha. No, I do not own Inu Yasha. *sighs* Although, I am happily sitting here with my super sexy husband, my gorgeous bitch and some of my very good friends. Oh, yeah, and I make no money from writing. So, no, Johnny, you may not borrow a twenty. (Friend breaks into sobs because he wants to see The Grudge 2.) Oh all right, I will buy you a ticket. You owe me good now, boy.

Chapter 6

A very mad and worried Koga, Inu Yasha and Miroku were shooting some very mean glares toward the girls.

“We want to know where you have been. You’re supposed to be home, in bed and sick. We have been out here knocking on the door to check on you,” growled a very upset Koga.

“We went to Skyler. I have had it with you disliking Inu Yasha because of some girl whose name I have only just heard. Sango and I went to find out exactly what happened because not only was I having to choose between you two, I didn’t even know all the facts that you guys know. I know a hell of a lot more now than I did this morning. We even drove to the hospital and met Kikyo. You were right; it was like talking to a child.” Kagome’s chest was heaving at the end of her short outburst.

Sango slipped past the demon and hanyou to Miroku. She slid her arms around his neck and said, “We stayed together to watch out for each other. Nothing happened. Now let’s go in before we attract any more attention. I am sure that we should keep everything between ourselves.

The small group looked down the hallway to see heads poking out of doors, windows and other people just standing in the halls staring at the drama within the group.

Kagome blushed when she noticed how much attention they had attracted. After Sango had opened the door and pulled Miroku in after her, Kagome then started to lightly shove both Koga and Inu Yasha into the room mumbling about stupid egos.

“What do you mean you visited with Kikyo; she actually spoke to you? What did she say?” Inu Yasha burst out as soon as the door was shut behind Kagome.

“Sango and I found the name of the hospital when we researched her name that you gave us. We googled the named of the hospital to get the address. From there, we just got driving instructions. Yes, Kikyo talked to us. We were there for about two and a half hours. We talked about everything she could bring up. She was very talkative, even if she was a bit spooky. Especially warning us about being out or some other nonsense. I don’t know. I know that Inu Yasha had nothing to do with her troubles though. She talked about how sweet he was and that he was also her best friend when she was younger.” This last tid bit of information was directed toward Koga and said in a very soft and gentle voice.

Koga sighed and acknowledged with a nod of his head what Kagome was telling him. He faced Inu Yasha next and said, “So, I guess you had nothing to do with what happened to her. You better take care of her or you’ll have to deal with me.” The two eyed each other, and then Inu Yasha smirked toward Koga making the wolf demon laugh. “You always look like a kid with his hand in the cookie jar when you smirked like that.”

The goofiest face contest that ensued had the girls rolling on Sango’s bed laughing so hard they had to hold their sides and wipe the tears out of their eyes. “Okay, okay. That is enough of that you three. Those faces couldn’t get any worse,” Sango gasped out.

“So what all did Kikyo say to you?” Koga asked.

“Well, she did have a funny little song she kept singing. It sounded kind of like a warning. Oh, what was it?” Sango replied.

Kagome piped up, “It was about spiders. She said
‘The spiders are coming out
You better not be out
Because they like to bite
If you fight
When the spiders come out.’
I don’t know what it was supposed to mean or anything. We were actually trying to think of a way to ask you guys about it.”

All three boys looked at each other with a look of disbelief. Could Kikyo be remembering what happened?

“You said that she remembered me and also that I was her best friend. That’s how she used to refer to me long before we even got together. After the attack, she couldn’t remember any of us. How is it now that she would know anything? None of us any been there to visit because she would just get upset when we spoke to her,” Inu Yasha wondered, looking at Kagome.

“Yeah, she remembered all of you. Does that bit about the spiders mean anything? Could that have something to do with her attackers?” Kagome eyed the three guys to see some flicker or spark of something telling her that it was significant. ‘It just has to mean something. She would not have just pulled that out of thin air. It sounds like a warning. Maybe she was warning Sango and myself about what happened to her.’

The guys looked to one another. Their faces were all drawn in concentration. Koga shrugged towards the girls to signify that they did not know. The group just broke apart leaving the guys in speculation.

--With the Guys--

“What the hell does that shit mean?” Inu Yasha grumbled at their perplexed selves. They did not like being puzzled.

Miroku grabbed a stack of plain, white paper and a handful of pens. He then started to write each line of what Kagome had quoted on a separate piece of paper.

The he first page was sat down in the middle of the circle the group formed.

~The spiders are coming out~

“What or who could the spiders be?”

“I don’t know. Where would she get spiders from? She wasn’t bitten by any that really bothered her or anything. I don’t remember Kikyo ever being scared of them either,” Koga looked straight at Inu Yasha waiting for him to put in his thoughts. Inu Yasha had always been closer to Kikyo because they grew up living just down the street from each other.

“Maybe she didn’t mean spiders as in the bug, but spiders as in a person,” Inu Yasha said after a moment of silence had passed.

This perked at Miroku’s interest. ‘Spiders, don’t we know someone who has tattoos of spiders on their forearms? Yeah, but who?’ “Don’t we know someone who has tattoos of spiders?”

Inu Yasha growled. Onigumo’s brothers, Naraku and Muso, had tattoos of a spider on its web on both arms. He knew this because he had wanted to confront Onigumo so many times for sleeping with Kikyo. He had left it alone because he knew that there wasn’t really anything but friendship between himself and his friend. They had just gotten together because it seemed right. Kikyo had seemed to really care for Onigumo if she had gone through the trouble to sneak behind Inu Yasha’s back. Onigumo had been an all right guy, although his brothers guided him in the wrong direction.

“Naraku and Muso have them. On their arms, nice and visible. Could it have been them? Why?” Inu Yasha looked befuddled.

“Why, indeed?” mimicked Koga. “Kikyo was sleeping with their brother. I know you know that, half-breed.”

Inu Yasha’s eyes narrowed. “How did you know that, wolf? Were you sniffing around her, too?”

Koga rolled his eyes, and Miroku looked at his friend. He knew that Kikyo had been creeping, but didn’t know with whom. He filed that in ‘hmmm, I’ll ask about that later’ file. The group moved onto the next sheet.

~ You better not be out~

“Well, that’s obvious,” said Inu Yasha, “She was warning Kagome and Sango not to be out because of the ‘spiders’ that attacked her.”

“In fact, the rest of the song really just points out what happened to her. Why would she warn Kagome and Sango? Did she sense something or maybe she is just remembering what happened and is using warnings to tell them to what happened so that they can stay safe?” Koga put his thoughts out; he was getting scared and anxious for his friends. What had happened to Kikyo shouldn’t have happened to anyone.

--With the Girls--

As soon as the boys left, the girls got their stuff together and left their room to hit the showers. Their interest was piqued at everything that had been revealed. The answers to their questions had left many more curiosities left to find. Kagome was certain that they knew more than they were saying, even if they didn’t know they knew.

“Sango, pass me the conditioner, please.” Sango threw the plastic bottle over the concrete wall that separated the shower stalls. “Catch. What do think about how the guys took the news? You had them so distracted about what we found out that they forgot to be mad at us.” Sango laughed at the memory of how quickly the guys had chilled out.

“Do you think they will get us back somehow?” Kagome was about nervous about retribution. She had a hanyou and a youkai to worry about. They were not creatures that let things slide easily.

“Nah, you know Koga could never stay mad at you and all he could ever do was just fuss. I think Inu Yasha is the same way. He is just as protective.”

The girls finished their cleaning up and resolved to call and check up on the guys. They could just stay a little extra sweet for the next day or two and it would be as if nothing happened.

Well, here is chapter 6. Hope everybody likes it. Have a great Friday the 13th. (Author leans over and puts her head in Aly's lap (the super sexy bitch) and gets a big sweet kiss!!! :)) LOL
