Chapter Six: Revelations - Part Two


Shippo sat down on Rei’s bed and rubbed her back. “I don’t hate you Rei.”

There was so much Shippo wanted to say, but where to start he just didn’t know. Rei had exposed so much that his feeling were still in turmoil. He owed her the truth. His side of the story.

Rei’s tears had finally stopped. She shifted her head to the side and looked up at Shippo. The look on his face was sadder then ever. Words were at the tip of his tongue but still he was unable to speak. “Shippo?”

“This morning when I heard Chiyoko talking to herself I couldn’t figure out how she had found out. Then for some reason she started thinking of me in a sexual way. I could tell her thoughts had made her slightly aroused. As light as the scent was I was able to pick up on it. She smells of honeysuckle and cinnamon powder with a touch of dog demon and human.”

Rei wondered why in the world he was telling her this. Of all the things to he could be telling her, he wanted to talk about Chiyoko’s arousal scent.

“A fox is a type of dog right!?!”

“Yes, but we already know that. So what’s your point Shippo?”

“You smell like really strong honeysuckle and cinnamon sticks. Faded in the background there’s the smell of fox demon.”

“The only thing missing is the human scent on me.”

“Well, being that at the time we were always playing with humans, it’s only logical to think that some of their scents would rub off on us. Even if it was just on our clothing.”

Rei understood where he was going with this. She remembered him always having his eyes closed whenever he pleasured himself. He had been thinking about Chiyoko and her heated scent in order to get off. “You didn’t notice me because you were concentrating on her scent. You thought my scent was…”

“My imagination... working really hard. The awakenings were still too strong for me at the time. I was powerful and my body was responding, but I was too young to fully control the sexual awakenings. Whenever I had one, all my other senses would become weakened. As strong as the scent of your arousal was, I barely smelt it.

“In fact, it smelt just like Chiyoko did this morning, but with a smallest tint of fox, which I had mistaken for dog. That’s how I figured out that it was you who told her about my awakenings. It all of a sudden became clear… You were there.”

“Shippo, I never told her what I saw you doing. I just said you had the awakenings at night sometimes; and being that you were young they weren’t that bad.”

“Hah… They were horrible back then. I was so happy when I finally was old enough too handle them better. It still takes a lot of training to get it under control.”

Sitting up on her bed with her back leaning on the headboard, Rei put her knees to her chest. Her expression was now one of fear and shyness. “The time we almost… did you want me just because of me or because I smell a lot like her?”

“You both have a very similar scent but I can fully tell them apart now that I’m older. Her scent is claiming, it makes me want to hold her close and take my time. Yours is much, much stronger then hers. Because you are full youkai it also holds more sexual power. It draws my animal out. I was never sure if it came out whether or not I would be able to stop myself. That’s why I’ve always stayed away from you during that time of the month. I’m still surprised I was able to pull myself off of you that night.”

“I’m not. It only stands to reason that you would of. Even though I bring out the animal in you, you don’t want me as a mate. Think about it, all these years I’m the only girl who’s always been around you, because of the sexual awakenings I became the person who you wanted to rut with. Your body might have wanted me but both your mind and heart belonged to someone else. Like you said Chiyoko’s scent is claiming, you don’t want to just rut with her. You want to give yourself to her, make love to her, and be her mate. Your love for her is so strong you couldn’t really be with me even if you wanted to. Your heart won’t let you.”

Rei glanced at the clock on her night table. “Oh no! It’s seven thirty!” Jumping off of her bed she ran to her closet and pulled out a long black dress. Placing it on the bed she quickly went into the bathroom. Turning on the shower she yelled out to Shippo “Don’t go anywhere! I’ll be out in five minutes.”

True to her word five minutes later she was out of the shower. Shippo had listened to Rei and stayed right where he was. With only a towel wrapped around her, Rei stood in front of her bedroom mirror and put on her makeup.

“What are you getting all dressed up for?”

“I have a date.”

“A date! That’s great! Who’s the lucky guy?”

“No one important. I… I just didn’t want to stay home by myself on a Friday night.”

Shippo could tell she was lying. This guy meant more to her then just a Friday night out. Standing up he went over to her and hugged her from behind. She gasped at his sudden embrace. Lightly placing his chin on her shoulder he stared at her through the mirror.

“The vow you made to me, do you still honor it?”

Rei found it hard to breath. Looking into his reflections eyes she answered with a small “yes”. She tried hard to fight the feeling she was beginning to have in the pit of her stomach. With nothing on her body but a towel she knew Shippo smelt her fully.

“I have a theory, Rei.” Holding her a little closer to his body she could feel he was in an awakened state. His eyes held a tint of red in them. Without his eyes leaving the mirror he lowered his head and lightly kissed her shoulder. Chills ran down her body as his lips touched her bare skin for the first time. Continuing to fight her feelings she asked Shippo a question “What are you doing?”

Grinning he tenderly kissed the side of her neck. “I told you I have a theory.” Slipping his right hand under her towel he ran his nails lightly over her thigh.

“And what is your theory?” She could only whisper the words. Her body wanted to give in so badly and let him take her, but she found herself fighting to resist him.

Not paying any mind to her question Shippo unrelently played her body like a talented musician plays his instrument. With a slow patronizing lick on her neck his eyes started to turn a deeper red. He enjoyed the smell of her emotions. She was confused, Rei wanted him to both stop and continue. “Tell me what you want Rei.”

“I… don’t… know…” The way his hands touched her made it hard for her to speak. The towel was no barrier. Both hands had now bypassed it. His right hand still fondled her naked thigh and his left hand was now caressing the bottom of her breast.

Being that she had pinned up her hair to take a shower, her neck was completely exposed. Shippo kissed the back of her neck seductively. Between kisses he explained his theory.

“You said I only feel lust for you right? Well, right now I can feel the animal awake in me. But I still have control of myself. So don’t worry.”

Taking his left hand he slowly moved it down to her belly button. The touch was light making the sensation feel ten times stronger. As much as she wanted to give in she couldn’t.

“Your right about your theory Rei.” Bringing his nose close to her hair, he inhaled. “I do want to rut with you. Wild animal rutting just to satisfy my sexual needs.”

Him talking like this only made her want to give in. Why was she fighting against rutting with him? Glancing at the time she saw she only had fifteen minutes before her date would show up. Getting her attention Shippo whispered softly into her ear “What do you want?”

His hand inched closer to her womanhood. “Do you want to rut? Is that ALL you want from me?” Taking the hand off of her thigh he placed it on her back and pushed her forward. She was now bending over in front of him, holding herself up with her hands on the dresser. She could still feel him pressed up firmly on her. His left hand touched the top of her curls.

“I was the one who gave you your first awakening wasn’t I? How many times did you get off watching me?”

Rei’s eyes were now starting to turn too. She was losing herself. “Every time”

“Do you want to see me happy again?”

“Yes, more then anything in my life!”

“Then tell me the truth. What do you want?”

At hearing his question something happened to her. Her eyes started to clear. She stood straight and turned around to face Shippo. “I want to be with…Kouga.”

Shippo’s eyes cleared as well. “So my theory was right. You were young and had a crush on me, but when you saw me masturbating, you didn’t fall in love me in my moment of happiness, you fell in lust with me.”

Rei knew what Shippo was saying had to be true. She’d mistaken lust for love. She couldn’t deny that it was all too easy to give her heart to Kouga. If she had really been in love with Shippo there wouldn’t have been anyway she would have started to date Kouga in the first place.

“Just like me, you couldn’t go any farther because of your feeling for someone else. We could try a thousand times to rut and it will never happen. Our hearts won’t let us. I’m sorry for doing what I did just now but we had to know for sure.”

“It’s fine Shippo. I think I’m more stunned on how gentle you were this time.”

“I was in control of myself.” He wore a sly smirk on his face. “You should take another shower and get my smell off of you before Kouga gets here. I know for a fact that he can get pretty mad if someone touches his woman.”

“And what about you? He will be here any minute. You can smell me all over your hands, lips and… pants.” She looked down at his crotch. She blushed to see the wet spot she had made when she was bent over. Her moist spot had been pressed right against his manhood.

“Don’t worry Rei, I’ll wash my hands, brush my teeth and get a different pair pants. Haruki has a lot of clothes here I’ll just ware his.”

Shippo was happy Kouga was running a little late. It was five past eight when the doorbell rang. Shippo smelt himself one last time before opening the door. “As long as he doesn’t stay too long he shouldn’t smell anything.”

Kouga was surprised to see Shippo. “What are you doing here?” was his greeting.

“Well, hello to you too. Rei is still getting ready. You know how women like to take their time. Would you like a cup of tea while you wait?”

“Yeah, sure.”

Shippo brought in two cups of tea and sat down in the living room. “So how long have the two of you been dating?”

“A year and a half. I don’t believe this. She didn’t tell you about me did she?” Kouga was upset now.

“I just found out today.” Shippo regretted asking.

“She’s still not over you is she? This is like being with Kagome all over again. Why do I always want the girl who loves someone else?”

“All due respect Kouga, but Kagome never loved you. Rei on the other hand does.”

“If that’s true, than why is it that, I’ve asked her to be my mate nine times and each time she said no.”

“Did you really ask her or did you tell her, like you use to do with Kagome?”

“I honestly asked. After Kagome I thought I’d never love again. For hundreds of years I didn’t. But then Rei started working at my school there was something about her. She seemed sad. She told me she was in love with a man who loved someone else. Which I came to find out later on it was you. Anyway, I understood exactly how she felt. We started hanging out and before I knew it I started to fall in love with her. We’re perfect together. I’ve ask her to be my mate in all different kinds of ways, but the answer is always the same.”

“Oh”

“I’ve tried everything. I don’t know what else to do.”

“Don’t take this the wrong way, but have the two of you rutted?”

“What! What kind of question is that? You spent way to much time with the monk friend of yours in the past.”

“Just answer the question.”

“No, it’s rare if she even lets me kiss her. Which reminds me you never answered my question, what are you doing here?”

“Getting answers and figuring things out.”

Kouga smelt the air and then looked at Shippo with rage in he’s eyes. Shippo knew what Kouga smelt.

“You smell funny Shippo. Soap. Toothpaste. And are those Haruki’s pants I smell on you? Where are your pants?”

Shippo knew what the next smell was going to be. If Kouga would have just came in and then left he would of never picked up on the smells. They had only been waiting ten minutes but that was long enough. Shippo was now hoping Rei would not come out any time soon. He had to make Kouga understand and fast.

Kouga looked to Rei’s bedroom. “I smell her arousal in there. What the hell was going on before I got here?” He was ready to fight.

“She thought she was in love with me. She made a vow when she was younger not to mate or be happy unless I was. That’s way she keep telling you no. Being with you made her feel like she wasn’t honoring her vow, that’s why she didn’t tell anyone. I found out about you and the vow today. I seduced her so that she could see that she wasn’t in love with me. When I asked her what she wanted she said you, Kouga.”

“She really said she wanted me?”

“Yes. Know that she knows the truth for herself, I can release her from her vow and you can become her mate.”

Kouga looked pleased. She wanted him. She really did love him. “I’ll let it slide this time, but if you ever touch my women again I kill you. And that’s a vow from me to you. Got it?”

“You don’t have anything to worry about. My heart is taken. There’s only one woman I want.”

Just then Rei walked out of the room. She looked more beautiful then ever. Her black dress had a split in the front that showed off her shapely leg. It had diamond spaghetti straps with a heart shape cut in the front. Her hair was tied back and her makeup was flawless.

Shippo looked at Kouga in his three piece suite. They looked good together. He knew tonight would be more special then they had planed.

Walking over to Kouga Shippo asked permission to talk with Rei for a moment before they left.

“Sure, but I don’t want any funny business. I’ll go turn on the car.” Kouga took his leave.

“Please tell me he doesn’t know Shippo.”

“You took too long and his nose figured it out. But don’t worry I spoke to him and everything is OK. And Rei, about that vow you made…I want you to know nothing would make me happier than seeing you happy with Kouga.”

“Thank you!” Her heart leapt for joy at hearing his words. She was free. She could be happy. She no longer had to feel guilty. Most importantly, she would mate with Kouga-her true love.
