Taisho Promise

Personal note from Nefra aka Jaxxia7: I've been helping Sessandkag write this fic since the beginning and I've read the reviews complimenting it.One trend that I have found in the reviews are comments about the way Kagome is treated.I know this is a bitter pill to swallow but there are some schools like the one described in the story.I don't advertise my personal life very often but this story stems a bit from personal experience.That and Sessandkag coming up with the idea in the first place.She writes, I add, she adds and so on and the posted chapter is the finished result.I have always been a heavy female, like some of our readers out there and it is nothing to be ashamed of.Sessandkag and I will be placing that idealism into the story as we go.It's not the best way to be as far as health goes but, as I said, it's nothing to be ashamed of.Hope this might clear up any questions about the inspiration here and we're extremely happy you're enjoying the story thus far.

Chapter 6: New Conditions

Inu Yasha was leaned back in his chair, slouching so far his rear end was almost falling off the seat.His legs were stretched out in front of him and out in the isles on either side as if daring someone to come and trip over them.He had his arms crossed over his chest and a deep scowl on his face.

Glancing up at the clock, he mentally cheered when he saw there were only five minutes left of detention.He'd gotten the good luck to have detention with Naraku today, who seemed to take great joy in telling him the news about Kikyou taking a few of her cheerleader squadron and following Kagome home.Inu Yasha wasn't about to let his demeanor slip over that tidbit but he found himself actually worried about Kagome.

"Why the hell should it matter?" he asked himself."We stopped being friends a long time ago."

"Inu Yasha, Naraku you are free to leave now." Principal Myouga announced from the desk at the front of the classroom."Do try to make your classes on time in the future."

"Of course",Naraku said with a deceptively smooth tone in is voice.

"Yeah, whatever." Inu Yasha muttered and grabbed his bookbag.

Inu Yasha rushed out into the hall and started walking to his locker.

"I wonder if dear Kagome made it home before Kikyou caught up with her." Naraku said making Inu Yasha look back over his shoulder.I shudder to think of what would have happened if it were otherwise."Kikyou was very descriptive about it in gym class today".Naraku leaned his shoulder against the lockers and smirked at the inu hanyou."But, then again, she did say she was going to take care of it didn't she?I guess Kagome insulting your hanyou status was the last straw."

"You're not any better you piece of youkai wannabe garbage." Inu Yasha exclaimed.

Naraku shrugged, showing just how much the statement affected him."Perhaps, but even I know Kagome was right about you, you show no intelligence that the inu youkai possess.Did Sesshoumaru actually say that Kagome asked him to accompany her or did you jump to that conclusion on your own?"

Inu Yasha snorted,"I know what Sesshoumaru told me."

Naraku sighed and lifted his claws to examine them."That is good news.I would hate to find out that you were wrong and provoked the little human for something she did not do."

"What the hell do you care?" Inu Yasha asked then grinned."You like Kagome or something?"

Naraku narrowed his eyes but the smirk remained."I like anything that is pure; very easy to taint and corrupt."

Inu Yasha was about to respond when footsteps from the other end of the hall caught his attention.He saw Sesshoumaru standing there with one hand in his pocket and the other fisted at his side.When he looked back for Naraku, the other hanyou was gone.Shrugging, Inu Yasha walked toward Sesshoumaru with the intent to pass right by him.What he was not expecting was Sesshoumaru to slam him up against the lockers with an arm tight against his throat.

"Did you have fun in detention little brother?" Sesshoumaru asked in a low and growling voice.

Inu Yasha looked down and saw the red creeping in the corners of Sesshoumaru's eyes."What the fuck gives?" he demanded, trying to get his breath back.

Sesshoumaru cocked his head to the side and smiled."Perhaps it is time we had one of our talks Inu Yasha.I'm sure you remember them quite clearly.I do miss them since we rarely see each other due to our classes being separate now and you dating that whore you call a woman."

Sesshoumaru suddenly had Inu Yasha in front of him, walking down the hall.One arm was wrapped around the front of his throat and holding Inu Yasha's left wrist across his chest while the other was twisting Inu Yasha's right behind his back in a very painful manner.Sesshoumaru led them to the back of the school building, more specifically the trash area next to the dumpsters before tossing Inu Yasha to the ground.

Inu Yasha stood up and glared at his half brother."What the hell is your problem today Sesshoumaru?"

"My problem is this Inu Yasha." Sesshoumaru said and swung a granite-like fist, nailing Inu Yasha in the face."I do not appreciate being the brunt of your joke." A hard knee to the stomach,"I do not appreciate accusations of lying."Sesshoumaru grabbed Inu Yasha by the throat again and slammed him hard against the brick wall of the school."I also do not appreciate seeing you berate one who is far superior to you in every way."Sesshoumaru flung him into the side of the dumpster.

Inu Yasha wiped the blood from his split lip and chuckled,"You like her don't you?"

Sesshoumaru narrowed his eyes,"That would be the icing on the cake would it not? To find that I, Sesshoumaru Taisho, found your current object of torment attractive?Yes, it would be a slap in your face but I will not lower myself to such a level.Kagome is her own person, whom I have no desire to pursue.She inquired if I had an escort to the prom then explained that a friend of hers would like to attend with me."

Inu Yasha blinked in shock, "So she really didn't ask you to go with her?"

Sesshoumaru slammed the back of Inu Yasha's head into the dumpster."She did not.You have made a fool of me with your words this day Inu Yasha. She has placed me in your company and that I will not tolerate."

Inu Yasha gasped when Sesshoumaru suddenly lifted him up and tossed him right into the dumpster.

"Stay in there Inu Yasha, where true garbage belongs." Sesshoumaru growled before slamming the lid closed and using his poison tipped claws to melt the corners closed.

"Open the lid you fucking bastard!" Inu Yasha yelled, banging on the lid of the trash receptacle.

"Open it yourself." Sesshoumaru stated, looking down at his hands and thinking he should wash them off before taking care of the second part of his plan.

Kagome sat on her bed, crying her heart on her mother's shoulders.

"Please tell me what's wrong Kagome." Mrs. Higurashi exclaimed softly, stroking Kagome's hair. "I can't help you if you don't tell me.I know it has something to do with the new bruises.If it's trouble at school you have to tell me so we can do something to stop it."

Kagome shook her head, "I'll be okay."

Mrs. Higurashi sighed when the doorbell rang and gave Kagome a rub on the back."I'll be right back dear."

Kagome grabbed her pillow and hugged it tightly, burying her face in the softness. Now that she had some of her sanity back, she realized that she wanted to graduate with her friends but knew now that Sesshoumaru would never help her again.

She looked up in shock when her bedroom door suddenly flew open revealing an angered Sesshoumaru.

"S-Sesshoumaru?" Kagome asked.

"We have an agreement Higurashi and you will not break it." Sesshoumaru said coldly."So, we will continue with your tutoring but under new conditions."

Kagome swallowed nervously, having a feeling that she was most likely not going to like the conditions Sesshoumaru set, one little bit.
