Feudal Fiasco

When Kagome woke up the next morning, she remembered what had happened last night with Riyo.
Flash back

“Now, tomorrow morning I’ll meet you in front of the shrine, and I’ll join you in the feudal era.” Riyo said.
“Ok but I don’t know if you’ll be able to pass through the time portal…” Kagome said doubtfully.
“Don’t worry, I have a plan for that.” He said confidently.
“What is it?” Kagome asked, curious.
“I don’t have time to explain right now, I have to get ready.” Riyo said, before getting up.
“Bye.” Kagome said, anxious for tomorrow to arrive.
“See ya.” Riyo said, as he walked out of her room.

Kagome happened to glance out the window, and saw a man, dressed in full camouflage and dark green boots, carrying a duffel bag that seems to be almost bursting at the seams. He was also bobbing his head to music that must have been on an mp3 player.
She decided to head down to the well house to see what the man wanted, and to wait for Riyo. She changed into her miko outfit, and grabbed her yellow bag, that she had filled the night before.
“Uh, hello?” Kagome said to the guy in the camo when she had gotten to the mini-shrine.
“Hey Kagome took ya long enough…” The man said, obviously slightly irritated.
“Riyo, is that you?” Kagome said, not having recognized the man as Riyo.
“Isn’t it obvious?” He said.
“Well, no, not really” She said, hesitantly.
“Good, I didn’t want anyone recognizing me, I even walked here so they wouldn’t recognize the bike.” Riyo said, obviously proud of himself.
“Oh ok.” Kagome said.
“Well lets get going!” Riyo said.
“Um, wait Riyo, you shouldn’t bring the mp3 player.” Kagome said.
“Oh don’t worry, the battery died about a minute ago.” He said.
“How long have you been waiting?” She said, surprised.
“Since six.” Riyo replied, matter-of-factly.
“You’ve been waiting for two hours?!” Kagome said, starting to feel bad about making him wait that long.
“Ya, I was doing push ups for most of the time.” He said, reassuringly.
“Ok well I guess we should get going.” Kagome said, while leading him into the well house.
“Alright.” Riyo agreed.
With that, they jumped into the well. Just before the portal opened, Kagome heard Riyo mumble something under his breath that she couldn’t discern.

In the feudal era
InuYasha was sitting in Goshinboku, when he smelled something familiar. ‘Well what do you know? For once she comes to say sorry for sitting me.’ After that thought, he jumped down from the tree and ran to the well, only to find Kagome standing there. ‘How did she get out of the well so quick?’
Just then, he saw movement right beside Kagome.
“Kagome, run there’s a demon right beside you!” said InuYasha, as he drew Tetseigua and ran forward.
“Shit! Run Riyo!”
“Why? His attack is predictable.” Riyo said, before dodging InuYasha’s attack, and hitting him hard on the side of the neck, rendering him unconscious.
“Told you, now if you can grab my duffle bag for me, I’ll carry this guy.”
“His name is InuYasha.” with that, she picked up the duffle bag, and said “Holy, what do you have in here?”
“I’ll show you later, after we get Inuyasha to that village you told me about.” Riyo replied.
“Alright.”
