~~~ Chapter 6~~~


Kagome’s face lit up and she flung her arms around his neck. She had been told before that demons took mates and it was somewhat like a human marriage. No one ever went into any of the details with her. All she knew was that it was a bond for life. She couldn’t have been happier that he asked. “Of course! I wouldn’t have it any other way!” She giggled with excitement, but then noticed his still serious face.

She frowned and backed away. “What’s wrong? Was it something I said?”

“No,” he said flatly. He shifted in his seat nervously, averting his eyes from hers. “Do you even understand what I am asking of you?”

She eyed him curiously. “Well I thought I did… but now I’m not so sure. Why are you so nervous?” He was beginning to make her nervous.

“Never mind, I changed my mind. I don’t want you to be my mate.” He blurted out, not able to look her in the eye.

He knew he screwed up this time. He could already smell the tears forming in her eyes, but he shouldn’t have said anything. She had no idea what he would have to do in order for them to be mates. It wasn’t anything he could go through with. He really never could understand how someone could inflict pain on the person they loved, only to claim them as theirs. He would never, could never, physically hurt Kagome.

Kagome rose in a blind fury, hurt beyond belief. “You baka!” Her powers flicked from her fingers in her rage. “Why would you toy with someone’s emotions like that? Especially after all we’ve been through? What? Am I all of a sudden not good enough to spend the rest of your life with?”

He backed off, a little intimidated by the tendrils of power coming from her fingertips. He could feel her power building beneath her anger. She was actually pretty scary right then.

He just couldn’t formulate the reason and went to his only option. Just because he couldn’t go through with it didn’t mean he didn’t want or love her. “I am so sorry. Please don’t leave me.”

There was no way she’d understand the reason for his hesitation. Of course she’d let him do it, she trusted him completely. It was one of the many reasons he loved her so much. But he would never be able to go through with it, so the only thing he could do was stick his foot in his mouth and hope she didn’t leave him.

She didn’t understand what was wrong with him all of a sudden, but the one thing she knew was that he wasn’t telling her something. Calming herself down she went and sat next to Inuyasha and placed her hand on his. “What is it you don’t want me to know Inuyasha? It can’t be that bad.”

He pulled his hand from beneath hers. “Keh, it’s nothing,” he snapped.

She frowned. “Then it’s me.”

“No it’s not you, it’s not anything.” He snapped again.

Kagome sighed, she was going to get it out of him no matter what. “I am not stupid. If it’s not me, it has to be something. I want to know what that something is. Please, please, pretty please Inuyasha.” She begged.

“No! You’ll probably want to go through with it!” He snapped and immediately regretted it. His foot should have just stayed in his mouth to save it the trip back up there.

Kagome smiled, she had won whether he liked it or not. “You know you have to tell me now.”

Inuyasha growled, knowing she wouldn’t leave him alone any time soon, and caved. “Let’s just say it will hurt and leave you a little weak. I can’t do it.”

She sat there for a minute thinking about it before she answered him, and decided that, no matter what it was, she wanted to go through with it. It was just going to take some convincing. “But some other demon could, couldn’t they? Maybe even someone like Kouga. He professes his undying love to me all the time.”

That struck a nerve. “That bastard! He wouldn’t dare take you away from me. No one is stupid enough. They all know your mine.” He growled.

She laughed, “Yours, huh?” Once she finished laughing she continued with a more serious tone. “Look Inuyasha, I know you say you care for me, but that’s not enough. I love you Inuyasha. I want you to love me.”

Inuyasha didn’t know what his problem was, he loved her with all his heart and soul. He just couldn’t put it into words. Apparently he had to try. “But I do.”

“Prove it. You can’t even say it.” She said, crossing her arms over her chest.

He grabbed her and planted his lips on hers in a fevered kiss that melted her into his arms. His body craved her and he could no longer contain himself any longer. He broke the kiss and whispered in her ear, “Are you sure you want me to prove it?”

A dazed look and a quick nod from Kagome was all he needed as he began to trail his hands down her sides to rest on her long, silky legs. Slowly sliding his hand up her leg, claws dancing on her sensitive flesh, he flashed a smirk her way, tracing circles on her inner thigh. “Really sure?”

She smiled as her whole body was set on fire by his feather light caresses on her skin. She could feel the warmth of his breath upon her neck, driving her insane, giving her sensations she had never felt before. She managed to gather what was left of her scattered senses and reply hazily. “Prove it.”

With that he smiled and nervously slid his hand up further and began to caress the outer edges of her panties. His demon screamed out, edging him on. He gently slid his finger under her panties and gently caressed her nub, causing her to let out a slight moan of pleasure.

His nose was flooded with the sudden scent of her arousal, and he couldn’t take it any longer. His demon side was demanding he take her; demanding he mark her, take her as his. “Are you sure? This will probably hurt.” It took all he had to get those words out as he whispered them into her ear.

“I’m sure I can take a little added pain. I did take what Naraku had to dish out, didn’t I? Plus…” she smiled wickedly, “Why would I want you to stop just when I started to enjoy myself?”

That was all he needed and it took all he had not to let his demon side take over. He had to make this special for her. He slowly unbuttoned her skirt and slipped it off, fighting the urge to just rip them off. He gently lifted her shirt over her head, his eyes lingering on her porcelain skin. She undid the clasp to her bra as he slid the straps from her shoulders, revealing to him her perfect breasts. Sure, he had seen her before, but that was by accident. This was completely different. She was absolutely stunning.

As he kissed Kagome, he managed to slice off her panties, seeing it too annoying to pull them off. He slowly kissed down her neck, and grabbing one of her breasts, suckled it gently. He made his way down her chest, belly, and down the sides of her legs. When he got to her toes, he parted her legs and made his way up to her nub. He gently began to lick her nub, smiling at the reaction he got and relishing in her sweet taste. Tracing his claws up her legs he led his hand to her core and gently slipped a finger in, enticing yet another moan from Kagome. Gently he began to massage her inner walls as he flicked her button in his mouth. He could feel her walls begin to contract around as she let out a sharp cry and completely overloaded his senses with her arousal.

He quickly removed his pants and positioned himself atop her trembling body. He hesitated for a moment, only long enough for a reassuring glance from her, and gently and slowly inserted his hard member into her core, stopping at her barrier.

She let out a slight moan at the sensation of him entering her, because it seemed to satisfy the sudden throbbing she felt down there. As he paused at her innocence she felt her need for him grow. She instinctively bucked her hips and he slid past her barrier. She let out a small yelp that completely stilled his movements.

The scent of her blood had mixed in with the scent of her pleasure and scared him. He didn’t want to hurt her and had intended to stop, but she bucked her hips in reassurance. It was all the reassurance he needed and enough to send him over the edge.

Time flew by as the two became one, too absorbed in one another to notice the passing of time. Their bodies glistened as the sweat dripped off their bodies.

It had felt like hours had passed before she finally felt it. She never saw it coming, a sharp pain surged in her neck as Inuyasha clamped down, exploding inside her. It was strange sensation. The pain heightened her arousal, sending her into another orgasm. She screamed as the last wave of pleasure hit her, immobilizing her.

Inuyasha was mortified at first when he first clamped down on her neck, unable to control the demon within him from claiming her, until he saw the effect it had on her. He lay down beside her, breathless. “Good for you?” he smirked, knowing she still had trembles raking body.

“I don’t know… hmm… let me think about it. Well I suppose so,” she said teasingly. “Are you happy now?” she said pouting, remembering how this got started.

“Anyone who you couldn’t make happy would have to be mad.” He smiled, “Kagome I love you.”

Kagome’s heart swelled up. He had no idea how happy he had just made her. “I love you too, Inuyasha,” she said as she curled up next to him and drifted off to sleep.
