Lilly

Kagome woke up and felt a warm body beside hers. She opened one eye to see Inuyasha sleeping silenty beside her. She gave a warm smile at him before getting up very slowly. Inuyasha tried to pull her back against him, but she got out in time. Kagome tip toed to check on Lilly and saw she was still asleep sucking on her finger. Kagome smiled and left the room.

Kagome looked at the clock on the wall and saw that it was only 6:30 am. Kagome decided to make breakfast while she waited for the two upstairs to wake up.

About thrity minutes after she started on the food she heard some foot steps coming downstairs. She saw that it was Inuyasha with Lilly in his hands. Kagome smiled as he set her down in her high chair. Lilly yawned and rubbed her eyes. " I hungwy mommy." Lilly said inbetween a yawn. Kagome smiled as she handed Lilly a bowl of food. Inuyasha sat down and started to dig into the food she placed for him on the table.

Kagome smiled at Inuyasha's eating habits. Inuyasha looked up and glared. " Whats so damn funny wench?" Inuyasha asked.

Kagome giggled " Inuyasha, why don't you slow it down a bit. Try to taste the food before you swallow." Kagome said.

Inuyasha snorted and went on eating his food. Lilly told Kagome she was done and Kagome picked her up to take her in the living room and put her in her play pen so she could watch some cartoons while she cleaned up the kitchen.

Kagome came back in and started to take the dishes and rinse them off to put them into the dish washer. Inuyasha left to watch TV with Lilly in the living room. When Kagome was done she went in there to join them.

Lilly got uninterested after a while and started to play with some dolls Kagome put in there the other day. Kagome heard the phone ring and asked Inuyasha to watch Lilly while she went to answer it.

Kagome went to pick up the phone. " Hello?" Kagome said. " Good morning dear. Your up early." Kagome's mom said. Kagome smiled. " Yeah, how are things going with the baby and all?"Kagome asked. " It was a girl. She was seven pounds and nine ounces. They decided to name her Kurumi." Kaogome's mother told her. Kagome smiled through the phone. " Thats a lovely name. Well, mother I should be going. I miss you and love you mom." Kagome said. " Me too dear. I'll talk to you soon. Love you." Kagome's mother said as they both hung up the phone.

Kagome went back and saw the two glaring. Kagome looked at both of them. " What are you two doing?" Kagome asked with her arms crossed. " She started it. I wasn't doing anything, but when I looked at her she was glaring at me so I did it back. Its been like this since you left to answer that thing you talk through." Inuyasha said with his arms crossed as well.

Kagome shook her head. " Come on Lilly how about I take you for some Ice Cream." Kagome said and she saw Lilly's face lighten up. " Really?" Lilly asked. " Yep, come on Inuyasha lets go." Kagome said as she picked up Lilly. Kagome got a stroller to put Lilly in and she locked up the house. They left right after and started to walk down the street. Kagome gasped and looked at Inuyasha's head. Inuyasha looked at her funny. " What?" he asked.

She saw a hat on top of his head covering his ears from site. She sighed in relief. " Nothing, I'm glad you remembered to put that hat on before we left." Kagome said starting to walk forward again. " Don't worry wench I remembered." Inuyasha said with his arms crossed walking right behind her.

About fifteen minutes later they made it to a little stand on the corner of Kagome's street. An old man was working it and he saw them coming. " Good day miss and what shall I do for you three today?" The old man asked. Kagome smiled and asked him for a strawberry cone ice cream and asked what the other two wanted and Inuyasha asked for the same thing while Lilly wanted chocolate. The old man handed her the three ice creams and Kagome paid the man. Instead of a cone for Lilly it was in a cup and she had a spoon. Kagome was glad because she knew a cone would make an even more mess then it would if the ice cream was in a cup.

The three walked to a bench that was not too far from the stand and sat down to enjoy their treat for today. Kagome smiled at Lilly when she was how Lilly was really enjoying her treat. Kagome looked at Inuyasha to see how he was doing and she watched as his very long tounge came out and licked the said of his ice cream as he was trying to catch the drops that were coming down along the side of his cone. ' I didn't know his tounge was that long....he's kind of good with it. Oh no...bad Kagome bad.' Kagome thought as she went back to her own ice cream trying to get the bad thoughts out of her head.

Inuyasha noticed the strange looks he was getting from Kagome and he noticed how much her scent spiked. He looked at her and saw she was looking down licking her ice cream. He saw her pink tounge dart out of her mouth to lick her ice cream. He was thinking of other things her tounge would dart out for, but quickly changed his mind.

Once everybody was done it was time to leave. They walked home talking about how Lilly thought Inuyasha was drooling when he saw the ice cream being handed to him and Inuyasha was telling Lilly has she drooled all the time and she didn't need an ice cream handed to her. Lilly stuck her tounge out at him and he did the same back. Finally they made it home ." Thank god." Kagome thought as they all walked up the shrine steps.

It was getting late and Kagome didn't really feel like cooking so she ordered take out. Lilly was coloring a picture on the kitchen floor while Kagome was setting the table waiting for the food to come. Inuyasha was sitting up against the wall watching Lilly to make sure she didn't try to color the floor a diffrent color then what it was.

Inuyasha smelled the food before the man even rang the door bell. Kagome went to get the money before answering the door. Kagome greeted him and gave him the money. Before handing her the food he asked her for her phone number and see if she wanted to go on a date sometimes.Before answering she heard a growl behind her. Inuyasha looked pissed as he glared at the boy who looked like he pissed his pants. " Um...never mind." the boy said as he handed her the food and ran back to his car.
Kagome turned around and handed him the food. She gave Inuyasha a smile and walked past him to back into the kitchen.

During the whole meal Inuyasha wasn't making a sound and all he did was eat. " Inuyasha, will you stop sulking. I wasn't going to go out with that guy anyways." Kagome said taking a bite of her food. " feh." Inuyasha said " I don't care what you do. I was just mad because you guys were taking to long with the food." Inuyasha said with a snort. Kagome raised a brow " Sure." she said.

Once everybody was done eating Kagome asked Inuyasha to clean while she went to give Lilly a bath and put her to bed. Inuyasha agreed and cleaned up the mess. It wasn't that much to clean up so when Inuyasha got done he went into the living room and sat down on the sofa.

About forty minutes later Kagome came down to find Inuyasha looking a blank screened tv. " Inuyasha, you could have turned on the tv if you were bored." Kagome said sitting down beside him. Inuyasha shrugged his shoulders " Its fine. I was just thinking anyways." Inuyasha said.

" Do you want to talk about it?" Kagome asked looking at Inuyasha. Inuyasha sighed " Its nothing really important. Its just how are we going to do this? What we do in the past is important, but Lilly is important too. I don't want you to pick. I've been thinking about it ever since you told me about Lilly and I think I've come up with a plan." Inuyasha said. Kagome nodded her head to tell him to go on.

" Okay I was thinking. Maybe you can stay here with Lilly while me and the others go and look for the jewel. I was even thinking about asking...Kikyo to help us search for the jewel." Inuyasha said as he saw Kagome's eyes get wide. " You want to drop me and have Kikyo join you guys. I'm sorry this happened, but how dare you tell me your replacing me with her. How do you know she will help you?" Kagome asked as she felt tears coming to her eyes.

" She told me a long time ago that if anything happened she would help me look for the jewel." Inuyasha told her.

Kagome tightened her hands in fists and clenched her teeth. " So, you had this all planned. You were just waiting for the day that something like this would happen. I thought you cared about me. I thought you liked how things were going with all of us." Kagome said as she stood up and looked down at him.

" Look, Its not like that at all. I was thinking sometimes you can get your mom to watch Lilly and then you can come back and search with us. I'm not replacing you. Its only for right now. The faster we find the jewel the quicker we can get this over with. There is no telling how much time we will waste by sitting here not doing nothing. If I can get Kikyo to help us look then we are not wasting no time. Kagome don't get mad. You know how much we all want this over so we can go on with our lives." Inuyasha said.

" I know that Inuyasha, but what happens if you forget all about me. I just don't know what to say. A part of me wants you to do your plan so the jewel will be complete and all this will be over, but another part of me wants me to do this with you guys together. I feel like I won't be apart of the group after this." Kagome said as a tear fell down her cheek.

Inuyasha watched her with sad eyes. " Kagome, I'll never forget you. I will come and visit you when we are in the area. You can join us when ever you want to. You will always be apart of the group even if your not with us. Your my best friend Kagome and I don't just throw away friends." Inuyasha said as he grabbed Kagome in a hug. " This is only a plan. We can talk this out and see what comes up. Your mother will be home tomorrow. We can talk this out with her."

Kagome smiled " Yeah, Maybe there is a better way to work this out." Kagome said as she went up stairs to her room. Inuyasha watched her leave and decided it would be best to sleep downstairs on the couch tonight he didn't want to upset her anymore. He didn't know something liek that would upset her so much. Inuyasha closed his eyes and let sleep claim him.

A/N: Finally chapter 5. I know everybody has been waiting for my stories to be updated. After my mother passed away we moved and I didn't have internet on my computer. I knew my dad wouldn't let me put stories on here, but finally I have internet back on my computer. I just got it put on today so I'm happy. I told yall as soon as I could I put another chapter up and I didn't waste time either. This chapter might not be as good as the others cuz I'm a little out of practice since its been so long since I typed a story, but I'm sure I'll get better at it. Well, tell me what you think.
