Chapter 6

The next 2 day after the club fight left 3 occupants of the Hishima feeling a bit weird and today was no different. Well there was one thing different; Inuyasha was acting extra nice to Kagome.

Inuyasha felt more attracted to Kagome than ever, he just couldn’t remove her from his mind so he took action. He did things like find her books to read, keep her company when Sango was out with one of the others, and even offered to help her on what he thought was her ‘weak spots’ in fighting. He even managed to apologize to her for his behavior in high school. Hell, there was only one real problem that kept her form warming to Inuyasha or at least that’s what he thought. No matter how hard he tried to get Kagome alone, it just wouldn’t happen because Sesshoumaru was always with her. One thing has to happen, ‘Fluff Boy’ needed to get lost. He was in the way. On that note Inuyasha decided to have a ‘talk’ with his brother to clear things up.

Sesshoumaru was working on some important memos when he heard tapping at his study door. “You may enter.”

“Sesshoumaru I need to talk to you for a moment.”

“Yes, have a seat. It must be important, for you have not resulted to calling me names yet.” Sesshoumaru eyed his brother closely. “What can I do for you little brother?”

“Where are Kagome and Sango?”

“Ms. Higurashi has gone to check on Rin and Ms. Kama is down stairs with the Monk.”

“Oh, well I want to talk to you about Kagome.”

“If it is about the job, I will not cancel it. You know it is illegal for us to kill those who try hard to take our company and threaten our lives, but the women can kill or injure without question. We need them for a job such as this, even though we are all very capable of taking care of ourselves.”

“No. I have accepted their positions. This is something on a more personal level.”

Sesshoumaru nodded his head for Inuyasha to continue.

“I need you to stay away from Kagome and me for a while. I cannot start to court her if you are always around.”

On the outside his stoic mask was in place, but on the inside he was livid with anger. How dare that MUTT tell him, Lord Sesshoumaru, what to stay away from? True he was not trying to Court her ‘YET’, but he would make sure she was free till he made his mind up.

“You cannot court Ms. Higurashi, Inuyasha.”

“WHY THA HELL NOT?”

“Because she is here for work and that would interfere with her work. However, she is not here to look after me, so I can do what I please with her.”

“Liar! You’re just up set because I have designs on her. I see you. Every chance you get, you are glued to her like a second skin. You want her as well; with me out of the way.”

“I do not lie.” He said standing. “You would do well to remember that the next time you accuse me of something… little… brother.” Sesshoumaru spat.

……. Naraku’s office…..

Naraku sat in his office at his desk working hard on a proposal. This was rare, usually he just had the people in charge of such things do them but this one was extremely important. Usually Naraku didn’t care how his business got done, legally or illegally for he had little if any morals, but this had to be done the right way (legally) if the Hishima brothers were to accept it. This could be a good deal indeed.

Round about 5pm he was getting ready to leave, that is till the local new came on his computer.

Hello I am Mina Kanare for Action 16 news. Behind me is the club ‘The End’. It was reported 2 nights ago that the owners of Hishima Corp. were attacked in this very spot. This man (picture of Monten Thunder appears) is thought to be the leader of the attackers but the master mind has yet to be caught. Please contact the police with any tips that may lead to the other assailants capture.

Naraku could not believe his eyes or ears. Monten was an associate of his and damn near everyone knew it. What the Hell was Monten thinking doing something like that with out getting his ok? Then something clicked inside that head of his. Weak men will do many things when it comes to pussy and money, and who has Monten been fucking lately? His wife Kikyo. That bitch is dead! Naraku was not one to make idle threats, if says it, it’s good as done.

After doing some much needed catching up on current events, Naraku made it home to find his wife staring at the News as hard as he was. Then she said it, before she noticed him.

“That fat bastard! I told him just the two. Shit, now how do I fix this?” She whispered aloud.

Oh! That signed her ‘Death Warrant’ as far as Naraku was concerned. “So dear, it is you. You are the one sending the threats and attackers,” he got louder. “To The People I AM TRYING TO DO BUSINESS WITH! IGNORANT BITCH! YOU WILL PAY, Because NOW I WON’T HAVE MY DEAL Since You CHOSE To Send One Of My CLOSE ASSOCIATES To ATTACK THEM!”

Kikyo was speechless, and looked pale. She didn’t notice him standing there. “Baby listen….please…”

“SHUT THE FUCK UP!” At that moment an evil sparkle could be seen in his eyes. “I decided what to do with you on the way home, you hear this. I don’t need you, so I’m going to take your soul and make me a BETTER SOPHISTICATED wife.”

“My, my…. Soul?” Kikyo was horrified at what the answer might be.

“Yes. Don’t worry, it will only hurt for a little bit. After I get done BEATING you, you won’t feel a thing.” Before Naraku finished his sentence, he hit Kikyo over the head the proceeded to beat her unconscious body till she was lifeless but not dead. He couldn’t kill her yet; the old witch Urasuwe wasn’t ready to make the new body yet. At least after this he won’t have to worry getting her pregnant again. By him being a half-demon he couldn’t control the potency of his sperm. Plus she had given him Kana and that was enough.

Now, for the last thing on the list. His deal would not go through after this, so what was he to do?

……. Sesshoumaru’s Home…….

Kagome and Sango sat on the couch watching the news till the men came in.

“Hey what in the Hell are you two doing? You sure are passive for some protectors.” Inuyasha sneered sarcastically. After receiving dirty looks from everyone in the room he sat down.

“Do either of you recognize that man we caught the other night?” Sango questioned with her notebook in hand.

“Now that you mention it dear Sango, I believe that fellow is always with Naraku. Hey Inuyasha didn’t he come for a meeting the other day while we were in Sesshoumaru’s office?”

“Yeah, he did.” At that moment Sesshoumaru decided to come down stairs. “Fluff, what did Naraku want when he came to see you the other day?”

While making his was down the stairs, Sesshoumaru noticed Inuyasha standing too close to Kagome and that irked him to know end. If anyone was going to get close to anything in his home it was going to be him, which includes Kagome. Despite his feelings for the moment he manage to answer the question civilly while making his way over to the seat next to Kagome. “He wanted to talk about a possible business venture. It seemed rather legit. Now, however, since the recent development I don’t think that will be possible.” He replied as he sat next to Kagome. Now they were sitting so close that he could feel the heat off her body and Inuyasha was now the one seething in anger.

Kagome took a small stretch then looked over to Sango. “I guess that means we got work to do tonight.”

“What do you mean by that, my dear Kagome?” Miroku inquired.

“Well whoever wanted you dead hired the wrong Thunder brother. Sango and I have had small run in’s with the ‘Thunder Brothers’ and Monten is by far the stupid one. If Monten didn’t tell the other about what he was doing then the benefactor will contact him next realizing the mistake.” Explained Kagome.

“Yes, he is a ruthless killer, but if can make it to him before anyone else does we may be able to learn something. The problem is he would rather kill us than get caught. The only ace up our sleeve with him is that he likes his freedom and will do anything to get it.” Sango added. “After the attack at the club, Kagome and I have decided to stay but while we are both gone, you guys must promise not to leave.”

“I assure you we will not.” Sesshoumaru volunteered.

After Sesshoumaru’s promise Sango and Kagome went to get dressed.

“WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?!” Inuyasha demanded. “Promising them that, I want to at least watch.”

“Inuyasha, be quiet. You will, now here they come.” Miroku chided.

The girls walked down the steps dressed like some tom-boy Barbie’s clad in hip hugger jeans with their badges in the left pocket, tees (it didn’t help that they were tight) that showed off their feminine but toned upper bodies, and jackets. Instead of their usual high heels they wore black work boots. Clearly were going to carry guns, and Sango also had Hiraikotsu.

“Damn Sango how much does that thing weigh?”

“Does it make a difference Inuyasha?”

“Okay, now you be good little boys and STAY! If I catch anyone out of the house there will be hell to pay.” Kagome yell as she strolled out of the door.

About 15 minutes after Kagome and Sango left the men got ready. Inuyasha was the first at the door, and the instant his hand hit the door knob he was thrown back with a painful shock into Miroku who was standing behind him. “Damn it, they put a spell on the door.”

“Not just this one Inuyasha, look there is an ofuda on every possible entrance.”

“I noticed their spell making earlier, and procured myself a way out. Now tell me little brother what are you going to do because I am not waiting.” Sesshoumaru said from the outside of the front door. Then he left.

“Inuyasha! I bet they didn’t get his balcony!” Miroku offered. With that, they made it to freedom and into the car with Sesshoumaru before he left them.”

……… Gentlemen’s Club Peach……….

“Ok, Sango, I have a feeling that he is in there. But I know they won’t let us in, and if they do Hiten will just run out of the back.”

“There’s only one way to do this then. You kick in the back door and let me handle the front. Even if I have to tear the front entrance down, no one will be getting out.”

“What about the bouncers?”

“Kagome, you worry about yourself. Kicking down a steel door and handling the guard in the back will be hard enough.”

“You’re right. Just be careful and I will see you inside. Oh! Don’t forget to strap on Hiraikotsu.” Kagome jumped out of the truck and ran to the back entrance while Sango walked to the front.

The bouncers at the front noticed Sango almost immediately. I mean who could miss a woman carrying a weapon as big as she is, really? No matter Sango continued up to the door when one of the bouncers stared to walk up to her with his hand out in the ‘stop motion’. Without even breaking her stride, Sango brought her fist up and laid the man out cold. While the other man was checking his partner over she continued into the club.

Kagome’s end was not so open and shut. Before she got to the door she had to figure out how to make as less noise as possible or kick it down quickly. When Kagome reached the back, she decided that the latter of the 2 plans would be the most plausible. So instead of slowing down she ran faster. When Kagome reached the door she slammed her foot into it, bringing it down with a large crash. Once inside the back, she expected to see at least two bouncers but there was just one so she gave him a left hook to the ribs and the chin. With him out of the way she slowed down and strolled into the club where she heard the commotion. Apparently the chase is on.

Inuyasha and the others looked on in silent fascination till… he decided to grace them with his voice. “WHAT THE HELL KIND OF PEACE KEEPERS ARE THEY!” He had a point.

When they reached the club Kagome and Sango went to, the first thing they saw upon parking was a man laid out in the parking lot and screams coming form the inside.

As they walked in Sesshoumaru decided to comment. “Well, Brother, their job titles does say ‘Aggressive Protectors’.” He could hardly contain himself as he and the others walked into the main entrance.

Just beyond the threshold more men were laid out. Hahaha, this is too funny. Inuyasha wasn’t lying, mess with one of them and you’ll get FUCK-UP! Apparently these men just found that out. When Miroku and the others left out of that area, they stumbled up on the brawl that Kagome and Sango created. Man what a mess.
