Frightful Flight

I have loads planned for this story, but the next few chapters are gonna be short like this. I'm setting my plot in motion. If you noticed Kikyo has entered the scene. That's just a hint. Previously

Kagome got to her feet and walked in the direction to her apartment. She was nonpulsed by what had transpired because many contestants got that way with her when she won a contest. Of course no one had shot an arrow at her since she was eleven. Usually people were more adult about losing when they got older. Kagome need to get home and take a shower and get ready for her dance lesson with Inuyasha. Her last thought was 'It's been a long day'.

Chapter Six

Kagome arrived home and told Sango where she'd be heading. Sango nodded her head from behind her College French book. She had books spewed all over the table and a mug of coffee on the side table next to the couch. Her reading glass hung on the crook of her nose as she read feverously. She had quite the work load herself and she wasn't wasting anytime.

Kagome knew she'd be up late so she wanted to work her hardest with Inuyasha in order to maybe get it perfected quick so she'd make it home early. She made a beeline for her shower and closed the door behind her. It took her twenty minutes and she was out of the steaming hot shower. She raced to get dressed. She pulled on her favorite excersize outfit which consisted of a sports/training top that looked similar to a bra and a pair of spandex shorts. She pulled on a gray zip up hoodie and looked herself over in the mirror. She planned to get there early to stretch and get a slight work out. She wanted to be flexible even if the dance wasn't modern like she had learned in high school or gymnastics.

Sango glanced up from her heavy and very thick French book toward Kagome as she raced out the door. "BYE." she had hoped to say more, but Kagome slammed the door shut with a loud bang and a muffled 'Bye' of her own. Sango sighed murmering something about never saying proper goodbyes and buried herself back in her studies.

Kagome raced down the hallways looking at her watch. That archery contest had really set her a blaze and taken up a few hours. It was currently 6:30. She pushed through the doors of the dance studio only to come to a halt at what she saw. There stood one Inuyasha doing combo's and other types of attack simulations. He was wearing only a pair of slightly baggy sweats and no shirt. Sweat was glistening of his chest and his long silver hair was pulled back into a low ponytail. His hypnotic movements had Kagome in a daze. She gave an appreciative glance at his well toned six pack and muscules that weren't bulging, but definately were noticeable.

Inuyasha had yet notice Kagome's entrance. She stared and leaned against a stool. Bad move. Kagome had leaned on the stool that had the stereo on it and it fell. The sound of the crash caused Inuyasha to stop and look up in surprise. He glanced at the scene in front of him. Kagome was on the floor next to the stool and stereo. Kagome picked herself up and looked up sporting a heavy blush. "I see you arrived early." he said smirking. Kagome nodded for lack of anything to say. She slipped of her sweatshirt/hoodie and put it to the side.

"I just wanted to stretch a little to warm up. Obviously we had the same thought." she stated her body tempeture slowly going back to normal. She didn't pause to listen to his reply and just proceed to do splits, push-ups, and quite a few cruches. Getting up from her seat on the floor, Kagome stepped out onto the dance floor. She planned to do what ever came to mind. No specific routine struck her so she did what came natural.

Kagome moved with grace and speed. She did backhand springs, standing backflips, and foward standing flips landing in splits. Inuyasha had watched slightly amazed at the way her body turned and twisted in positions he never thought possible. The hentai in him flashed perverted thoughts through his egotisical mind set. He smirked and started the music basically telling her to finish up.

As soon as the music started up, Kagome figured it was Inuyasha's signal for her to conclude her warm-up. Flipping her leg behind, from a split position, her head and pushed up with her hands on the floor. Throwing her other leg up behind her, Kagome stood up. "Your pretty flexible. Now let's see if you know how to use your body" there was implied meaning behind his flirtatous words. Kagome smiled shyly at his blunt implication. "Now on my count step. I may hate dance, but that doesn't mean I'm not gonna do it right." he stated a grim look on his face when he said he hated to dance. Kagome nodded and set her frame to his.

Inuyasha waited for the song to pick up before counting. Gold eyes locked blue and they moved. As if they reached a subconscious level of sink. She fell into step quickly, but not really realizing it. It was a moment, that if seen in a movie, everyone would go awe. The world around them fell away as they glimpsed what appeared to be the other's soul. The steps not even registering as they twisted and turned doing fancy foot work. All that seemed to matter was the lock of eyes and touch of emotion neither understood. The song started to draw to an end. Inuyasha did that dip hand slid move, but stayed that way.

The next song came out a soft sweet melody blared through the speakers, playing the mixed cd's music. 'I'm no angel' by Dido wafted to the couple that looked set in stone. Inuyasha glanced at her rosey lips and soft smooth creamy skin of her face. Those eyes that seemed to entice the soul stared back at him. Slowly inclining his head, Inuyasha placed a soft mesmerizing kiss to Kagome's lips.

Their lips met, the slightest brush of skin to skin. Electricity shot through the two people. They pulled apart and stared at eachother in surprise. A voice boomed in the once entranced atmoshere of the room. "That was wonderful. The steps spoke with such passion. You two will demonstrate tomarrow. Wonderful Mr.Tashio, Miss.Higurashi. Good Evening." Mr.Raynard had witnessed the scene and broken through the enchanting moment.

Kagome had jumped, but Inuyasha simply 'Kehed', slightly embarassed. They glanced at one another then quickly rushed away. Thee only thing they had said was tomarrow.

A/N: I know that was kinda a rushed chapter, but I'm setting everything in motion. Dancing is going to be a main theme in this. Kinda dirty dancing, but different. They will date and things from Inuyasha's past will come back to haunt him and Kagome. Sango is a minor factor in this story even though she is one of my favorite characters. Miroku will appear again as well as shippo. Kirara isn't in this even as much as I'd hope to include her if Sango's minor Kirara is like nonexistant. There are dark secrets, new rivalry, and many exciting dramatic things to come. Until next time....Egyptian Kiss!
