Naraku's Old Palace
Chapter 5
Kagome came to a few hours later. “Where am I you bitch, what have you done to me?”
“Don’t you recognize where we are Kagome? This is the place you first attacked Naraku, you are in his palace,” stated Kikyo. “Why have you brought me to this place Kikyo,” Kagome shouted. “Answer me now. “The energy here is still very strong; you will not be detected in here.” “That’s where you’re wrong Kikyo. Inuyasha and I have a strong connection; he can sense me as I can sense him.” “What are you smiling for; Inuyasha will not sense you in here. I put up a barrier, he can’t break.” Little did Kikyo know that Inuyasha was close, very close? Even if he could not break through Kikyo’s barrier she knew he was coming for her.
Koga was upset with Kikyo. He could not believe she would betray him by taking Kagome. “If Inuyasha won’t kill you, I will” Koga shouted. Koga was beginning to slow down, he was approaching his destination. “Inuyasha, Koga is slowing down, we must be close” stated Sango. This place is familiar isn’t it? Oh my god we are at Naraku’s old palace. Why would Kikyo bring her here?” “Naraku’s energy must still be present at this place. Kikyo must be feeding off it,” Inuyasha spoke. “We may be in for a challenge, said Miroku. With her powers and Naraku’s energy it’s going to be tough.” “I don’t care what it takes or how tough it will be, I must get back my Kagome.” Everyone nodded in agreement with Inuyasha.
Koga stopped at the entrance to Naraku’s castle. He felt a strong force radiating around it. Koga tried to enter the gates, but was forcefully thrown back. “Damn it he shouted, I can’t get through. How am I going to get to Kagome now?” “You won’t have to worry about that anymore.” Koga turned to face who had spoken. Inuyasha came flying down from Kiara. “Looks like you led me right to Kagome, now I can kill you.” “Wait Inuyasha we can work together to break the barrier, screamed Koga.” “I don’t need help from you wolf. I will break this barrier myself.” “Not even you can get through that Inuyasha, it holds to much power.” “I will get passed it, and then I’ll kill you.”
Kagome felt a jolt of energy; it was Inuyasha he was here. She sat back and smiled to herself. Kagome new it wouldn’t be long before she was in the arms of the man she loved. “What the hell are you smiling for” shouted Kikyo? Kagome looked straight into Kikyo’s eyes, “he’s here.” “What that can’t be, how could he have found us so soon?” “I told you he would come for me. I am his soul mate and he is mine, he will always come for me.” “Not if your dead”, shouted Kikyo. “I’m not the one who’s going to die today” smiled Kagome.
Outside Inuyasha was trying his best to break Kikyo’s barrier, but he had no luck. Miroku began to call upon his religious powers to break the wall. He to had no luck. They didn’t know what else to do. Kagome sensed Inuyasha struggling to get to her. Kikyo’s barrier was stronger than she thought. “Looks like Inuyasha is having a hard time getting to you Kagome. Let’s see if I can make this more interesting. Kikyo summed some of her spirits. “Go now and give our guest a warm welcome” she smiled. “Stop this Kikyo, stop this now. I won’t let you harm him.” “There’s nothing you can do, just shut up and prepare for your death.” “You are wrong Kikyo, you will feel my pain, and I will show no mercy this time. Just you wait.”
