~*~Chapter 6—Hazukashii!!!~*~
~Kagome’s POV~
“I love you, Kagome…”
She stirred lightly in her sleep, knowing that she must still be dreaming.
‘Ohh… who am I kidding? But to hear him say it…’
She heard a roaring sound in her ears; like water hitting rocks. She slowly opened her eyes and just as she predicted, it was the waterfalls she was listening to.
‘But what am I doing here?’ she asked herself, bewildered.
Then she felt something heavy wrapped around her waist. Looking down, she found a… a hand! But it’s not hers. She followed the hand with her eyes, up to its owner, twisting herself over and feeling the hand tightening around her to pull her more closely. As she rolled herself, she saw a naked chest and she came face to face with none other than…
‘Inuyasha!’
He was still sleeping, his eyes closed and snoring lightly. His face looked so tranquil in slumber, wearing a slight smile. She lifted her hand to brush his hair away from his face and smooth his brow with it.
‘So last night hasn’t been a dream?’ she asked wonderingly as she moved her hands up to pet those cute dog-ears of his.
She lay still to clear up on some things. First, she woke up with Inuyasha’s arms around her; second, they were both stark naked under the cover of his robe!; third, she could feel a twinge between her thighs, a kind of painful throbbing; and lastly, there was an answering sting at the base of her neck. She instinctively reached up and began to rub it, thinking a bug bit her or something.
To her surprise, she felt a small puncture at the skin between her neck and shoulder blades. Memories of what happened last night came flooding back to her…
Yup, last night was definitely not a dream.
She started to feel uncomfortable, what with the soreness of her body and the insistent pain between her legs. She looked over to the waterfalls, deciding that a bath should help make her feel better. But first, she had to get out from under Inuyasha’s hands.
She tried disengaging the hand from her waist, but that only resulted with him frowning and snaking his hand around her hips more fully. She had to bite her lip to keep herself from laughing. What a predicament she had found herself in!
Next, she tried to wriggle herself from under his hand. She was halfway there when the hanyou actually growled low in his throat and his eyes snapped open, revealing the amber orbs instantly alert.
‘God, his eyes are sooo handsome. Just like the owner himself,’ Kagome thought and couldn’t help but blush under Inuyasha’s intense scrutiny. She forced herself to meet his eyes and give him a cheery smile.
“Ohayo, Inuyasha,” she said with a bright smile on her face.
“What are you doing wriggling like that, bitch?”
Her eyes returned to his, this time with laughter in them. She can’t stop the giggle that escaped her lips as she thought of his question.
“Well I… I was going to take a bath in the falls over there. But since you won’t let go of me, I just succeeded in waking you up. Sorry if I gave you the wrong impression,” she answered back, still laughing.
Inuyasha’s eyes fell blank for a moment, which only made her laugh all the more, then filled with humor as he caught onto her joke. His laughter mingled with hers in the early hours of dawn.
After their laughter died down, Inuyasha suddenly framed her cheeks in his hands and kissed her thoroughly. When they were out of breath, he left her mouth to whisper, “Morning, sweetheart,” to her lips.
She was blushing the color of tomatoes when he lifted his head, not daring to meet his eyes. She could feel him removing his hands from her waist and starting to sit up. She started to sit up too, but suddenly remembered she was still naked, so she lay back down. His arms were around her shoulders all of a sudden, wrapping his robe around her body.
“You still want that bath?” he asked.
She nodded her assent, and so he lifted her up to his arms and sprinted to the falls…
~Inuyasha’s POV~
I can feel “her” moving beside me, but I still didn’t want to wake up. I know she rolled over so I just tightened my grip on her waist. Then I felt her soft hands brushing my hair back and touching my brow. I let my bitch continue, and then she began to stroke my ears.
It felt so good; I was like in cloud nine. I never want her to stop. I let out a contented sigh, but she didn’t seem to notice. Looks like she had other things on her mind…
I felt her lie still, as though taking inventory of herself, and I know she was thinking if last night had been real. He didn’t need to open his eyes to look; he knew exactly what she’d find out. His mark. She was now touching it, probably to soothe it. Then the last thing he expected happened.
She’s lifting my hands from around her waist, trying to let my hold loosen on her.
‘My bitch is trying to get away from me,’ I thought in a panic, scrunching up my face in a frown and pulling her more closely against me. My thoughts were in shambles:
‘Maybe she’s regretting last night. Maybe she’s disgusted by the mere thought of me touching her, let alone ACTUALLY touching her. After all, I’m nothing but a dirty, worthless half-breed, so why’d she want me to make love to her? Maybe she really doesn’t love me to begin with and realized her error so she’s trying to slip away and spare me the heartache of hearing her say, “Inuyasha, you’re such a fool. Last night was a really big mistake. I don’t really love you so fuck off!” Or maybe…’ my mind continued to shout at me, filling my heart with dread and despair.
Then the unthinkable happens…
My bitch was suddenly moving all around, her hips swaying this way and that. In his shock, he loosened his hold on her a bit and it was only when she was halfway there did he realize one thing:
‘My bitch is wriggling!’
He opened his eyes and growled at her all at once. That stopped her movements, and he stared down at her, a look of disbelief on his face. She greeted him good morning in such a cheerful voice and so he asked her what she was doing. Then her eyes snapped up to his, those midnight blue pools of hers alight with mirth.
‘Damn, but her eyes are so pretty. Not to mention the woman herself,’ I said to myself as I saw that becoming blush stain her cheeks and noticed her naked shoulders, pale and creamy, rise from my robe. There was another one rising, but this time it’s from my pants…
Her answer startled me from my musings and it took a few moments before her words registered. Then the phrase, “a bitch in heat”, hit me, and I started laughing right along with her.
‘I love making her laugh. Her laughter is so filled with life and vivacity that I never tire of hearing it. Sounds like music to my ears,’
We stopped laughing and I looked at Kagome’s beautiful face. I can’t seem to get enough of tasting her so I kissed her while the sunrise glowed all around us. It was a special moment; and I can’t help but notice she looks so good after I kissed her and when she’s blushing, so I can’t resist teasing her a bit.
As our lips parted, I said “Morning, sweetheart,” before brushing my lips to hers once more.
She turned even redder than before, and I had to fight back the laughter that was dying to escape my lips again.
‘If she turns more redder than this, she’s gonna blow her face up,’ I thought funnily.
I couldn’t hold the grin back though, but I figured I was safe since she wasn’t looking at me. Didn’t want her to say the “S-word” that early and ruin our first morning waking up together. I started to sit up and stretch my muscles when I remembered her saying something about a bath.
I saw her still lying down with my robe, and figured she was probably shy about her being naked around me. I smirked at the idea, thinking:
‘It’s not as if I haven’t seen all of her already. Or tasted her all over for that matter,’
Before my thoughts went out of hand, I knelt down to sit her up while wrapping my robe around her.
“You still want that bath?” I said, and she nodded, her eyes downcast.
I rolled my eyes at her obvious embarrassment and hauled her up in my arms, jumping my way to the falls, with me buck naked and my ass freezing…
