Typical Teenage Hysteria

Chapter Six:

"She WHAT?!" "Left, Inuy. Do. Does that pose a problem for you?" Miroku said calmly as he stuffed his face with French fries. "No, I just want to know why the fuck she left and where the fuck she went, that's all." Inuyasha said as he took his frustration out on a burger sitting on his tray. Sango looked up from her meal of homemade sushi, her favorite. "Well, I can tell you why she left, but that’s about it." "Well...?" Her longhaired companion motioned for her to continue. "Well, she said that you were a quote 'typical careless bastard' unquote, for not being more careful about your sexual habits. That is, I guess that’s what she meant, cause that's about the time she stormed her ass outta here." Sango said, smiling. Inuyasha's mood had been thoroughly ruined. Wait, why did he give a fuck if she thought he was...whatever it was she called him...it's not like he owed her anything! But still, it confused him. Why did he care so much? He pondered over that the rest of the day, that is, until school was out.

Hiten and Kagome had gone to IHOP to get lunch, then decided to cruise around on Hiten's motorcycle, which had been a gift from Kagome after his car was repo'ed. Going back to his work they got a couple drinks, then decided to have him take her back to school on his bike and he would take her ride back to her house when he got off work. Then they would catch up some more.

Just short of being smashed, and Hibeinbeing slightly buzzed, they 'mutually' decided it was time for Kagome to go back to school, just in time for it to end. And by mutually, it means that Hiten had to practically pull Kagome away from the establishment to his ride. Once Kagome was securely on, Hiten sped off towards her school recklessly.

The trio was emerging from the school and heading towards their way home when Inuyasha stopped in the middle of the steps. Sniffing the air once or twice, he said, "Kagome." Suddenly he was pushed forward, only to have Kouga come up next to him. "You better watch your fuckin step, puppy. You got in my way." Snarled the black haired boy. Inuyasha stepped closer to his opponent. "Oh yeah?" On the second word, he pushed Kouga, who swung a fist at him.

Kagome was instantly snapped out of her alcohol - induced stupor when she and Hiten pulled in to the parking lot and saw Inuyasha just barely miss a swing from Kouga. As Hiten stopped right in front of the school steps, Kagome stumbled off the bike. "K-Kouga, Yash, what the hell?" Kagome yelled, trying to keep her words from slurring. She had almost gotten to them when a hand holding her arm stopped her. It was Sango. "Let me go, someone's got to stop them!" Shaking her head, Sango said sternly "No, you'll get hurt, they've already started." Kagome watched hopelessly as the two fought. Kouga got in a few good kicks, and Inuyasha a few good punches, but they were fairly equaled in strength. No one was sure who would win.

"So, these are the ones you were telling me about?" Kagome gasped. "Oh, Hiten, I'm so sorry, I forgot you were here! Hiten this is Sango and Miroku, Sango and Miroku, this is my good friend Hiten." They exchanged quick hellos, all the while concentrating on Inuyasha and Kouga. A fairly large crowd had gathered, and fortunately, a large panther demon emerged. It was the art teacher, Ms. Takanami, in her transformed state. Hovering over the two boys, she hissed loudly, putting one large paw between the two. Reluctantly, they backed off of each other. Kouga quickly came over to Kagome, taking her hand in his and kissing it. "Dear Kagome, I am terribly sorry you had to see that but -..." He was cut off as Inuyasha shoved him away from her. Inuyasha came close to her face, sniffing. His eyes glowing red, he looked at Miroku, Kouga, and Hiten standing near Kagome. He growled menacingly, stating simply, "Mine."
