Actions and Reactions

Hey everyone sorry to say that there aren't as many surprises as i thought there would be.

Kagome awoke the next morning with the sun shining in her eyes. She sat up but laid back down for the pain was unbearable. She slowly stood, her feet hadn't been scrubbed as hard as the rest of her body. She made it to the window and closed the curtains. She looked around letting her eyes adjust to the darkness. Hey eyes landed on something red. Even though it was dark she could see it shimmering a bit. She made her way over to the kimono and slowly lifted it into her aching hands. She hesitated for a moment before putting it on. She walked to the mirror to examine how it looked. She started to cry as the red of the kimono had finally gotten to her and slide into a chair beside the mirror.

Sesshomaru slowly walked to the the door of her room. The scent of tears mingling with her natural scent caught him off guard.

'So she still crys over the Hanyou.'

Kagome stayed as quiet as possible, knowing that Sesshomaru was standing on the other side of the door.

Sesshomaru slowly opened the door walking in and closing it behind him. He noticed right off that the room was dark. He walked to her and knelt down in front of the chair.

"You will eat, even if you don't want to."

She didn't look at him,

"no"

He stood and grabbed her by the arm and threw her onto the bed. He stood over.

"You will obey my orders"

He bent down giving her a bruising kiss to the lips. She struggled to get away from him, so she bit his bottom lip as hard as she could. He quickly stood, he was staring her down and noticed that she still bared his half breed brothers mark. He didn't say anything he just left.

Kagome was a bit startled she laid down on the pillows and kept wiping her mouth off. She ate bits of the food that was brought to her.

That night before she went to sleep she started thinking about the look Sesshomaru had given her. The look in his eyes scared her, it had scared her a lot. She wasn't sure what he was looking at but she had an idea.

Kagome jumped off the bed. She new what he was looking at now. She walked to the mirror and pulled her hair back away from her neck. She about screamed with joy when she saw that she still bared Inuyasha's mark. Not caring if she was in pain or not, she jumped on the bed to sleep.


Kagome was awake and brushing her hair when Sesshomaru walked into her room. Kagome knew Sesshomarus routine by heart, so she just sat there not acting as if her wasn't there. She did watch him in the mirror though. She had intentionally pulled her hair onto her left shoulder as he walked in. He was now looking directly at the mark on her neck.

"So you have hope that the hanyou is still alive only because his mark has not faded from you. Well maybe he is alive but he is badly hurt. He can not travel here, and if he would and he had made it i would kill him."

He smirked.

Kagome had flinched at his words.

Sesshomaru had advanced toward her, he placed a hand on the mark. Kagome let out a yelp of pain. Sesshomaru was trying to burn the mark off of her. Kagome quickly shrugged his hand off of her. She stood and looked straight at him.

"Why do you alway hurt me?"

He looked at her strangely. "What do you mean by hurt you?"

"I mean the first day that you brought me here you had those damn servants scrub me so hard, and then you knew i was in pain and you threw me onto the bed, and now."

He was shocked. He turned and walked out of the room putting up a barrier to keep her in the room. About ten minutes later he returned. Kagome lay sprawled on the bed asleep. He walked toward her. He slowly stroked the side of her face with his hand. Kagome stirred in her sleep and he pulled back. Sesshomaru put what he was holding down next to her and left.
