Sesshoumaru didn’t like the club they went to although since when did he like anyplace that had men looking at his wife and mates?

“This is not a good idea.”

Mirage smiled at her grumbling mate.

“We will dance together Sesshoumaru. I will ask Kouga or Inuyasha or my bitch Miroku to go to the DJ to put something slow on so we can be all romantic like.”

Sesshoumaru kept an arm possessively around his wife’s waist. Heather noticed it and felt kind of bad for Mirage. The guy had issues if he thought he could cage that woman.

“I just don’t like these people around you. After the visit with Lord Worthington I worry about your safety. Those filthy vermin could be anywhere.”

Lord Ripley showed up at the club as expected alone. He had made amends and was expected to be on call for the next few months if he wished for the Inu’s to assist him.

“Ripley……”

Sesshoumaru muttered.

“Lord Tashio, I am here as you requested.”

Heather looked at the two men who looked like they were going to battle any second.

“Yes, well than look amongst these…rabble and if you see anything suspicious you will notify me. Also my mate requires a slow song for us so that we may dance rather than trying to move to this noise.”

Mirage smirked at her old fashioned mate as Ripley left. Ripley was now Sesshoumaru’s new servant just as Jaken had been. He needed a retainer and Ripley owed him.

“I like fast dancing too my husband.”

Sesshoumaru frowned.

“You will not bounce about with our pup in your womb. I will not have one of those… those…. people…bump into you.”

It was hard for Sesshoumaru to see the people on the dance floor as worthy of a single one of his glances. They were all lower demons, lower hanyous, and a bunch of sweaty humans. It was rather nauseating to him to even have to be in such a place since people smoked cigarettes and had been drinking. There was nothing worse than the smell of human sweat mixed with beer and cigarette smoke to the demon Lord.

“Inuyasha I do not approve.”

Inuyasha smirked at his brother and kissed him.

“Come on and lighten up a bit lover.”

Sesshoumaru frowned and grasped his little brother’s chin.

“We need to go elsewhere. This cigarette smoke will enter my wife’s lungs and affect the pup not to mention we are being looked at like fresh meat by half of these…….creatures. Mirage may get bumped into or knocked down. I will not have that. We will go dance at one of our ballrooms. It will be cleaner and if this is the music you so choose to dance to you will have it there. Shippo can be a DJ.”

Inuyasha frowned and shrugged. He was probably right although they never made that much of a fuss when Kagome was pregnant. Then again that may be why all his kids had rocks for brains.

“Fine……..”

Ripley returned and stated that the DJ didn’t have any slow songs and that this was the only music they played on Friday nights.

The group left the club, but not without Ripley pointing out some suspicious people.

“We will watch them later. Now that I have their faces in my mind I will know what to look for.”

It was a few lower moth demons who entered the club looking for trouble.

“They are after the humans.”

Ripley stated plainly.

“Not unusual since they have hunted humans for years. This group only takes what is necessary so we let them be. If I hear of more than two humans being hunted we will investigate further otherwise there is nothing to be concerned over.”

Sesshoumaru stated flatly.

“You don’t care if humans are killed?”

Heather looked at the men incredulously.

“We are predators and hunt our prey. Who are we to deny others survival if they need prey to live? Humans are breeding rather rapidly so do not concern yourself with such small things my dear.”

Sesshoumaru stated softly and Mirage shrugged.

“Why can’t they eat rat demons like we did? I mean do they have to hunt humans?”

Inuyasha sighed.

“Moth demons are weird like that and these ones go after the druggies. They like the high so let’s say they are doing society a favor.”

Heather nodded and Ripley looked at her. He was attracted to the woman. There was something about this red haired beauty.

“So you are to be Lord Inuyasha’s wife and mate my Lady?”

Ripley asked unable to keep silent.

“Yes she is……..”

Inuyasha growled putting an arm around Heather as he stared daggers at the spider demon.

“Ripley you will have to find another. This one is taken. I will be marking her as well as my other mates. In fact we might as well get that part out of the way.”

Sesshoumaru stated then grasped Heather around the waist before she could protest, biting into her neck tasting the sweet blood of a fox demon.

“Hn……..kitsune………”

Heather had an orgasm immediately. It was simply erotic and so very wrong. It hurt and at the same time she never felt such pleasure. Then Mirage pulled Heather away.

“Fox demon? Huh……….ok.”

Mirage bit into the woman and then gave her over to Inuyasha who frowned at them both.

“Alpha rites suck.”

Inuyasha looked at Heather who was giddy and laughing.

“You seem like vampires rather than dog demons to me. Kinky…..”

Inuyasha smirked at his soon to be mate.

“The others can wait to mark you and for you to mark them. Alphas just don’t have patience. I want to make love to you when I mark you babe.”

Heather sighed.

“Ok…….”

Mirage and Sesshoumaru shrugged.

“I guess she isn’t going to bite you both back?”

Inuyasha asked tersely since the Alphas were not pushing the issue.

“Not right now. Perhaps after you are done Inuyasha. She needs your blood first to awaken hers.”

Heather sighed.

“Oh, but I would love to share you Mirage and I promise I wouldn’t bite too hard.”

Mirage smiled at the compliment.

“Your sweet, but no thanks, I only get naked for my men.”

At that everyone got into their vehicles with Sesshoumaru watching them all pulling Inuyasha aside.

“Inuyasha, I do not like your woman hitting on my wife. I understand you wish to go dancing, but I don’t want Heather getting the wrong ideas and Mirage is fragile right now. She has been very ill and after losing one pup I am not about to lose another so she will not be going out any time soon after this night.”

Inuyasha sighed.

“Do you want us just to call it a night?”

Sesshoumaru frowned.

“No, I made a promise I intend to keep. Mirage wants a dance she will get a dance and she wants to get to know your intended. However, you will insure Heather does not flirt with my wife. Mirage may be nice, but I won’t. I haven’t slept in days and I am in no mood to be pushed. I might kill someone.”

Inuyasha looked at the car with Heather sitting within waiting for him.

“Sess, do you think I am rushing this?”

Sesshoumaru kissed Inuyasha gently on the forehead.

“No I don’t think you are rushing. I am pleased you found someone my love. I adore you and I thank you for not procrastinating as Kouga has done. Still, for my sanity since I am very touchy about my wife right now do not push me and do not let your intended do so. You have been through first time Fatherhood, you were right; I have not been through it. I am asking you to help me by understanding if we leave early. I am concerned about Mirage and I need peace right now. If you love me you will give me that.”

Inuyasha nodded. He would talk to Heather.

Heather waited for Inuyasha wondering what was going on.

“Hey honey, you ok? I didn’t mean to make you wait.”

Inuyasha asked Heather who was waiting.

“I’m fine. I was going to ask you the same.”

Heather looked at Inuyasha who smiled softly at her.

“Can you do something for me? I know Mirage is a bit wild, but Sess is trying to calm things down since he hasn’t had sleep in days. Being a first time Father and first time husband is getting to him. I know Mirage is your type of girl, but my brother is really touchy on who flirts with her even me. Miroku has been like an older brother to her and so they don’t flirt like normal people. He can handle that, but…….”

Heather smiled and understood.

“He is a jealous man.”

Inuyasha sighed.

“Ya. To the point he is homicidal not saying that he would hurt you, but he can be quite cold and cruel if pushed.”

Heather smiled. She understood.

“I can handle that. I wouldn’t expect him to be different from what I have seen of him. However, how do you make it work with you and him in a relationship if he doesn’t share?”

Inuyasha frowned.

“Well, until the pup is born we won’t be sharing except maybe kisses. I need my own wife and so does Kouga. We can play with Miroku, Sango, Kouga, and Kagome. They are kinky like that, but Sess has almost lost his wife more than one time. He watched her as she was raped……”

Heather went white. She couldn’t imagine the bubbly silly little woman she just met to be a victim like that. Mirage had to have one hell of a bounce back attitude towards life.

“She was raped……how awful……no wonder he is the way he is. But you say he is so powerful, how could he not stop it?”

Inuyasha felt like crap, but Heather deserved to know the truth. He explained why Ripley was here and what occurred as well as the fact not only Sesshoumaru witnessed it. Inuyasha, his Father, Kouga, and others had seen things that they hoped to never witness again. All of them had suffered under Naraku and they were still being hunted.

“The reason I am telling you this is because once you become a Tashio you too may be targeted. I may become just as possessive as my brother.’
“Miroku and Sango don’t share what I share with my brother. I am his first true mate and Kouga his second mate. Mirage will be his only female mate. Sesshoumaru, no matter if he marks you will not take you to his bed and he will not let Mirage come to ours. Only I will go to Sesshoumaru when he calls for me and it is the same with Kouga. As a female in our pack this is the one true limit you will have and there will be no bending that rule.”

Heather understood. This meant sharing her husband. She was ok with that. Still she was a bit put out that they would not be sharing Mirage. She could care less about sharing Sesshoumaru since the guy was indeed like a block of ice and a snob. He looked down his nose at everyone like they were bugs except when it came to his wife. It was the only time except that moment outside the car with Inuyasha that she noticed his emotions come alive.

“Well so be it. I have dealt with worse. By the way, you are right about the virtual glasses. I think I need a break. You can lead me about and explain more about those micro chips.”

Inuyasha frowned since he wasn’t sure if he was keeping the blasted things in. They were almost as bad as the glasses.

“Actually Sesshoumaru and I are having them removed. I prefer the glasses over this. It is like having a constant headache after a while since everything moves too fast for the chips to keep up. We are going to make a new pair of glasses, something more tamper resistant.”

Heather was bummed by that news since the micro chip insertion would have been a great way to cure blindness.

“We will probably be working on a solution for years to come. I have seen much, but to be honest I like to keep things simple. I want to see things, but at the same time I enjoy just being able to get around without the headaches. I don’t mind riding in limos and counting steps. I have seeing eye dogs and my mates like to play the role of seeing eye dog for me. It is a nice way to do things and perhaps some of us are not meant to see. Some of us are just meant to feel more with other senses. I want to be like everyone else I guess.”

Pulling up to the ballroom, Heather thought about things too. Handing the glasses back to Inuyasha she smiled.

“They can’t see my eyes with these things on anyway. It feels strange to see again and I now know what I missed. It wasn’t so much the things that matter because what matters is sitting next to me right now. I loved you when I couldn’t see you and even if I could see it would not change how I feel. Besides you tend to appreciate the things you have more when you don’t have them. I think I like being humble.”

Inuyasha smiled widely and pulled Heather into a deep kiss.

“That is why I love you woman.”
