Birth

Kagome felt the pains getting worse as Sesshoumaru got closer to the clearing. "You might want to hurry."

Sesshoumaru looked down at Kagome and saw her face starting to become covered with hair. He took off running for the clearing. He reached the clearing and sat her down beside the fire pit that Lady Kaede had ready. As soon as he laid her down on the furs he watched her body change into her Inu-youkai form. He heard her whimper and when she spotted him she growled. Now he knew why males didn't attend birthings. He slowly backed out of the clearing. He saw Kaede being followed by the rest of the girls. "I leave her in your hands. You had better do your best."

"My Lord we will do what ever we can. You return to the hut and have Miroku put up some scrolls to keep your and Inuyasha's scent contained in the hut. If she smells ye she will be out for your blood." Kaede watched the demon lord disappear quickly out of site. Then she turned back to the clearing. Now to help Kagome.

Sango and Kagura stopped at the edge of the clearing. They didn't expect her to be in her Inu-youkai form. No wonder Kaede had set up the clearing for the birth. Kagome would have torn down her hut again. They joined Kaede beside Kagome. "What can we do?"

"Sango you will sit by her muzzle and pet her. It will calm her since she considers you her sister. Kagura make sure that the water and towels are ready when we need them. Ayame since you are some what related I am going to need ye to translate for us. She can't talk in this form." She sat down beside Kagome and ran her hands over her stomach. She felt the contractions going through the demonesses stomach. "At this rate it will not take ye long Kagome. How are you doing?"

Ayame listened to the yips and whines that Kagome made then started laughing. "She said she is doing fine. But she can't promise the same for Sesshoumaru when she gets a hold of him."

A few hours later Kagome howled in pain as the contractions got worse. She yipped and growled at Ayame. "Kagome says that the contractions are worse and she can feel the pup coming. It will not be long."

Sango petted Kagome and Kagura used her fan to call forth a breeze to help cool Kagome down. Kaede watched as the first pup entered the world. She caught him and cut the cord and tied it. Then wrapped him in a towel and cleaned him off. Once he was clean she laid him down beside Kagome and laughed when the hungry pup started whining. "I think he is hungry."

Kagome turned her head and saw her first pup. He looked just like his father except he had her eyes. He even had a crescent moon on his forehead. His little tail was wagging back and forth. She leaned down and licked him and pushed him up against her stomach so he could nurse. She jumped when his little fangs grazed her nipple. She soon felt another contraction. It didn't take long for the second pup to come.

"You have a daughter this time Kagome." Kaede cleaned the pup and placed her beside Kagome.

Kagome looked at this pup. This one had gold hair and bronze stripes and a yellow crescent on her head. Kagome licked her clean and then let her nurse. Two pups. She didn't feel anymore contractions. She was glad she was done. It was very tiring. Then she felt another contraction. Not another one. She laid her head down and whimpered.

Kaede saw another pup come out quickly followed by another. She handed the first to Ayame and the second to Kagura. "Cut the cords and clean them then lay them down beside Kagome." Kaede put her hands on Kagome's stomach. She didn't feel any more heartbeats. She had never heard of a Inu-youkai demon having four pups at once. She cleaned Kagome up and watched the last two pups placed beside Kagome.

Kagome watched Kagura and Ayame place her last two pups beside her. Another boy he had stripes like his father but his moon was lighter in color and he had black fur but it was tipped with silver. And he had his fathers eyes. The last was a girl. She was smaller than the rest. Her hair was streaked black and white and she had blue markings on her face. She also had blue eyes. Kagome licked her and let her start nursing. Then she howled into the night. Her call was heard all over the western lands and probably the rest of Japan.

Sesshoumaru paced back and forth in the hut. Births usually didn't take hours. He stopped when he heard his mate howl loudly into the night. His pups were born. He ran out of the hut and to the clearing. He found his mate sleeping beside the fire and saw four pups nursing beside her. He bowed to Lady Kaede, Sango, Kagura and Ayame. "Thank you ladies for assisting my mate." The ladies bowed to him and he watched them leave the clearing. He turned into his Inu-youkai form and walked over to his mate and licked her muzzle.

Kagome smelt her mates scent enter the clearing and felt him change into his youkai form. She felt him lick her muzzle. "Your lucky that I am too tired right now to tear you to pieces. You could have at least told me that I was going to have four pups."

Sesshoumaru winced slightly at her words. "I didn't know. I just knew you were pregnant. I didn't know how many pups you were going to have. I have never known a Inu-youkai to have more than two at once. You are the first I know of to have four." He leaned down and licked the pups. One of the pups looked like his father had. The rest were a combination of him and Kagome. He sniffed them. Two boys and two girls. They were going to be a handful. "What shall we name them? Ichiro, Hana, Kuro, Wa. What do you think of those names Kagome." He looked over to his mate and found her sleeping. He laid down beside Kagome watched over her as she slept. He would guard her.

An hour later Kagome woke up to find Sesshoumaru laying beside her. The pups were crawling all over him. Ichiro was pulling on his ear, Kuro was pouncing on his tail, Wa was growling and pulling on his other ear and Hana was trying to climb on his back. "I wish I had a camera. You look so cute."

Sesshoumaru turned his head and looked at Kagome. He winced when Ichiro and Wa sunk their fangs deeper into his ears and hung from them as he moved his head. "I am glad you think this is funny. Now will you please help get them off me."

Kagome changed into her humanoid form and picked up Wa and Ichiro. "Pups you must not bite daddy's ears." She used her tail to pick up Hana. "Kuro is yours to deal with." She watched him change into his human form and watched as he picked Kuro up in his tail.

Sesshoumaru reached over and took Hana from Kagome and picked Kuro up from his tail. "It is time to return to the village. It is almost time to face Naraku." He placed his tail around Kagome and walked with her back to the hut. When they entered the hut everyone woke up and ran to them to look at the pups.

Kagome looked around at her friends and smiled. It was a good day. Now all they had to do was deal with Naraku. "Since the pups are born can I join you in the fight against Naraku?"

Sesshoumaru looked down at his wife. "Are you sure your up to it?" He didn't want Kagome to fight but he knew it was her wish to help bring Naraku down.

"I feel fine. Besides I will stay away from Naraku. I will just shoot my arrows from a distance. I just want to help." Kagome walked up to him and laid her head down on his chest.

Sesshoumaru cupped her chin and leaned her head back. He lowered his head to hers and kissed her. "Ok but if I tell you to leave the battle you must listen to me."

"I will. I just want to be with you. Besides I know we are going to win. Good always over comes evil." She hugged him and then went to the back room to retrieve her armor. When she was dressed she rejoined the group. "Sango I leave my pups in your hands. Guard them well."

"Like they were my own Kagome." Sango ran and hugged the demoness that she considered her sister. "Watch over Miroku for me will you. Naraku will more than likely have the Saimyoushou and Miroku won't be able to use his wind tunnel."

"I will watch him as best as I can." Kagome hugged Sango again then went to her pups. She picked them up and walked to the back room. She fed them then returned them to Sango. "They should be fine till we return." She joined the rest of the group outside the hut. She watched Miroku and Sango kiss each other good bye. I will make sure your love returns to you Sango. She walked to Sesshoumaru and the group took off to meet and defeat Naraku. She looked up and saw Kagura following them flying beside Ah Un with Jaken on his back. They met Kouga's wolves and wolf demons at the clearing. "I can feel him getting closer. We must meet him away from the village to protect our children and friends." The group took off running till they came to a clearing about an hour away from the village.

"We will face him here. Everybody stay alert he is close." Sesshoumaru drew Toukijin and watched Inuyasha draw Tetsusaiga. This is the last day of Naraku's life."

"I am not close Sesshoumaru I am here!" Naraku came out of the forest and faced the group.

The group watched as a figure joined Naraku.
