Author notes: Thank you once again for all the lovely reviews. All the views. Everything makes me very happy. This chapter will hopefully answer some questions I got. Some parts of it where very hard for me to write. I don't like Sesshoumaru taking it...LOL... But it was necessary for the story to progress. .. So here it goes. Supper rolled around and Inuyasha was still out cold. Sesshoumaru had woken up from his light nap when he heard Emily come home from school. Calling out to him and Inuyasha that she was home. He heard her rushing to the kitchen. Heard the fridge opening, so he knew she was getting something to eat. After reluctantly releasing Inuyasha he got up and went to the bathroom for a badly needed shower. 20 minutes later he was out in the kitchen with his daughter, he figured he'd have to plan something for dinner. He doubted Inuyasha was going to wake up and then cook. He looked at the contents of the fridge and just drew a blank. Cooking was not a skill he had acquired in his long life. It was too easy to get others to do it for you, and probably much better than anything you could make.

“We can get take out... Or order delivery...” Emily Marie said with a giggle as she watched her bewildered father starring at the open fridge. “I can run down to the village and get sea food. There's this great little place, they catch it and cook it in the same day. Everything is like supper good and fresh. Daddy always gets food from there when he feels like seafood. Their lobster is his favorite.” She explained.

Sesshoumaru turned and looked to his daughter, with a raised eyebrow. “Very good idea, little one.” He said calmly closing the fridge after he got one of Inuyasha's beers. It wasn't his usual drink. He always either drank sake, or some very expensive wine. It figures Inuyasha would have a taste for something as simple as beer. He didn't always eat human food either, but in recent centuries you either adapted or died. Most youkai died. The powerful like him adapted. “Soo, how was school? I hope you are doing well with your grades.” He said calmly looking to his daughter, studying her for a bit.

“It was good, and yes I am. My grades are all A+. Daddy always said that you value intelligence and power; And I like being the best in the school.” Emily Marie said very proudly. She noticed the small smirk on her father, and liked the fact she was causing that. It felt good to have her father be proud of something she'd done. Her daddy was always proud of her, but this was the first time seeing it on her father.

“I do value those things. It puts one above everyone else. It will give you advantages in your future. You are my first born. You will be expected to be the best.” Sesshoumaru said calmly, while looking at her more. “I do have a question for you. Do you like your name?” He asked, his tone giving her a hint of curiosity, and something else that she couldn't possibly put a name too yet.

Emily Marie for one wasn't sure why he'd ask that question. “I guess... Why? Is there something bad with my name?” She asked, with a frown.

“It is a very unusual name for a Japanese Youkai Princess. Specially one that is my daughter. I have been trying to figure out why Inuyasha would it give you... My daughter such an ungodly name... For the life of me, I can not...” Sesshoumaru said as he sat down on a stool besides her.

“Why is it so bad? Besides... It's not like i'm in Japan... Daddy said we're probably never ever going back there...” Emily Marie said calmly snaking on beef jerky.

“Oh? Hmm... I see i'm going to have a long conversation with my mate...” Sesshoumaru said now thinking. “You are my daughter. I am the Lord of the West. I am expected to bring you to the other Lords. Present you as mine, and have them see you are perfect, and rightly mine.” Sesshoumaru said. “Clearly Inuyasha has been too long away from proper youkai society.” He said.

“I was never in proper youkai society, ass...” Inuyasha said coming out of the room with a yawn. He came over to the fridge opened it and brought out the orange juice cartoon, just started drinking straight from it. “And don't give her any fucking ideas. I named her and she's gonna keep her name.” He said.

“Then at least explain your decision to the father of your child. I would have expected any other number of names, like the names of those human priestesses of yours... Or even after your mother...” Sesshoumaru said. “Or that... Taijia... I suppose even her name would have worked.” Sesshoumaru said and noticed the look that Inuyasha was now sporting. The good emotions in the room had all but vanished. Sesshoumaru had to raise an eyebrow.

Emily just sighed and shook her head. “We don't mention them.... here...” She whispered to her father, but otherwise stayed quiet. Since her father had arrived she'd been doing that a lot. She was a very intelligent child, and she could see it was in her best interest to not annoy her daddy anymore than her father already was. It wouldn't be healthy for her privileges, and she liked her allowance like it was. Sesshoumaru raised an elegant eyebrow again and looked from his daughter to Inuyasha.

“They're in the past... I don't need my kid named after dead humans.” Inuyasha said with growl, as he walked out of the house and into the woods, just letting his feet carry him where ever they wanted too. He needed the woods, needed their solitude when something or 'someone' reminded him of a very painful past. He should be happy with it. Kagome had wanted him to be happy. To not regret loving her. He didn't... But still... It was a wound that had never healed. The more his human friends died the more he understood why youkai didn't like to love them.

Sesshoumaru watched his mate with that careful, stoic look of his and just got up and walked after him after motioning to his daughter to stay put inside the house. He could see his mate had an open wound... Though he had thought it had closed a long time ago. This would not do. He couldn't imagine how his daughter had learned of the humans if Inuyasha never spoke of them. He'd have to ask her later. She was clearly more crafty than he'd thought, and he'd have to be careful around her. He followed his mate's scent and came up behind him by a river bank. It would figure. The sound of running water filled the atmosphere, as he sat gracefully down besides Inuyasha. A light wind came up, making their long hair dance behind them. Cold amber eyes gave a look to his mate. He noted the wet cheeks but said nothing, knowing how much Inuyasha hated when others saw him cry.

“I think it will be better if you speak about what is bothering you...It has been a long time... I had thought that particular wound of yours closed...” Sesshoumaru said with a more gentle tone than the one he normally used.

“Is yours closed? Can you speak of that little girl of yours when ever you please without going cold as ice?” Inuyasha asked with a bit of venom on his tone, The second he said it he sighed and felt bad for saying it. Sesshoumaru stayed quiet for a while longer his expression didn't betray anything. “I'm sorry....” He said with another sigh.

“It is not the same...They where merely friends to you... Lovers at most...” Sesshoumaru said, the cold, stoic tone now back. “She was my daughter. The only being I loved.” He said, admitting it, though Inuyasha had already known that information he knew it best repeated. His heart skipped a couple of beats when thinking of Rin. If he were a lesser man he would have wet cheeks as well. But he was Sesshoumaru; And he did not cry.

Inuyasha looked up to Sesshoumaru, he sighed again and leaned into the demon Lord. He moved and sat on his lap, just resting his back against Sesshoumaru's chest as they both looked out to the running water of the river. The fish happily jumping like nothing was wrong.

“They where the only people that really accepted me for what I was when everything else was trying to kill me... When they died I was alone again...Only that time it was worse than before... Cause I knew what it was like to have a family... Friends... The loneliness was worse than ever...” Inuyasha said sighing. “When you bring them up, it just brings all that up.” He explained.

“And naming our daughter after them would only remind you of them every day...” Sesshoumaru said finishing his thoughts.

“Yeah... I spent that full week I was healing thinking about what to name her... I tried to think about something you'd like... Thought about Japanese names... But then... Thinking about Japan just reminded me of them... And I knew I didn't really wanna go back there... She was going to be raised here, I knew that for sure. So I said fuck it, and picked American names. Emily sounded cute, and innocent. I figured she'd need something innocent in her, with her being your kid. Marie was the other name I has been trying to decide on. At the end I couldn't decide between them. So I just named her both.” Inuyasha said sounding better.

“You realize we are going to have to go back to Japan at some point soon Inuyasha... I have to present her to the Council and the other Lords. She must be put on the paper work, and the family tree as my child... Our child. I realize you do not enjoy youkai society, and it's rules. But this is her future... It must be done. You can not simply hide her away here...” Sesshoumaru said trying to sound normal, and not ordering. Though it did come out like that anyways.

“She's my kid... Why can't I just hide her away here... She's happy here... We're all happy here... Why do we gotta go there?” Inuyasha asked with a bit of a groan, and a small whine.

“Because it is what must be done Inuyasha. I am the lord of the West... She is for all intents and purposes my heir... Unless you provide me with a son. The Lords and the council will not be happy that I am presenting her this late in her life as it is... You have no idea of the headaches it will cause me to deal with them.” Sesshoumaru said as he wrapped his arms around Inuyasha, pulling him closer to him, and just holding him. His hands roaming over the top of Inuyasha's belly.

“But i've never been a part of that world Sesshoumaru. They hated me... remember... Why do I have to be a part of it now? Just because you decided...Do I really have too?” Inuyasha asked looking up to Sesshoumaru.

“Do you want her to be illegitimate all of her life? Do you want them to think I have not accepted you, or the children you give me?” Sesshoumaru asked calmly.

“No...” Inuyasha said with that defeated 'I know you're right, but I hate it' tone. “Does it have to be soon?”

“It would not be wise to delay it... But we will stay long enough to see if you are carrying. If you are we will delay it until you and the baby are healthy enough to travel. That way I can present her, and the new baby at the same time.” Sesshoumaru said lightly kissing Inuyasha's neck as he held him; Taking in his scent as he did so. He still didn't smell any different, but it was much too soon.

“Okay...” Inuyasha said with another sigh in his tone. “What are we going to do about Kagome? She can't see me... She can't see us...” He said leaning into the kisses.

“We will simply be careful if we are ever in her part of Japan.” Sesshoumaru said calmly. “Do you think you can be around the Lord of the East without jumping his bones.” Sesshoumaru asked with a teasing tone. Inuyasha just sat up and smacked his chest.

“That's not funny!” Inuyasha said with a growl. “It's just I what I need dealing with him and you in the same room again...” He said with another growl.

“Oh, come now... I can deal with it if you can. The little pup is cute, I can see why you would bed him. Besides... I am curious.” Sesshoumaru said with that teasing tone still on him.

“I don't like it when you're curious... Curious about what?” Inuyasha asked, unsure if he really wanted to ask in the first place.

“About how you must be as a top. If you are good enough to get the Lord of the East to go uke for you; and then have him come begging to you for more like a desperate bitch in heat. It does leave one thinking.” Sesshoumaru said with an evil smirk as he pushed his hand into Inuyasha pajama's and started teasing the hanyou's cock. Inuyasha instantly moaned.

“Yeah... he said I must have horse demon in me...” Inuyasha said with a smirk.

“If I didn't know our lineage so well, I could swear you do.” Sesshoumaru said with another smirk. “It doesn't feel that thick when you're only teasing it.”

“I bet.” Inuyasha said, with another small laugh, as he tried to relax now, but it was hard seeing as he was still with a huge knotted dick up his ass. He rested his head against his mate's chest and just sighed out. “So what are we going to have to do about Kanji... I mean really do? “Of course not... I have enough dealing with you and Emily... And if you're really trying to get me pregnant again, i'll have more than enough problems. I don't wanna add a whiny, needy, uke to it. Besides, doesn't the fact that I told him from the beginning that it was a one time thing mean anything?” Inuyasha asked looking up to Sesshoumaru.

“You are sure you told him clearly.” Sesshoumaru asked, the wheels in his head clearly turning.

“Yeah, I did. I told him straight out. I had a partner and this was only happening one time cause I was horny as fuck and you where away.” Inuyasha said with that sure tone. “He said it was okay. I don't know... I guess he liked what he saw, cause he didn't take his eyes off me in the bar. That's why I went up to him.” He said.

“I think it would be a miracle.” Inuyasha said with more laughter. Sesshoumaru smirked softly. After a while Inuyasha got up and went over to the river. After dipping in and cleaning himself he came out and got dressed. He'd done it all quickly, the water was freezing. Sesshoumaru did the same but without all the facial expressions and antics Inuyasha pulled when hitting the cold water of the river. After another while they were walking back to the house.

“How do you think she's going to take hearing that we have to go to Japan?” Sesshoumaru asked his mate.

“I don't know...” Inuyasha said truthfully. “She's never left Maine...” He added. Sesshoumaru could only hope that she was going to be good about this.
