When Truth Becomes The Lie

Kagome awoke thinking she was alone, something she had grown used to in her stay here. But the smell of delicious food wasn't what she excepted. Jaken, the Lord's retainer, was sitting next to a table with a full meal waiting for her. His eyes were locked on her as she sat up on the bed she was left on, and he answered her unspoken question.

"The Lord requires you to eat. He doesn't want you to to die too easily." The toad spoke in a bored tone.

Without a word or hesitation, Kagome shot out of bed and devoured everything on the plate. She hadn't even cared about her nudity. Astonishing how the will to survive will override such silly emotions like embarassment.

The toad grabbed the plate and left the room, leaving her alone once again. She had to find a way out of here, otherwise she knew she would die here.

Kikyo had been wandering the lands near InuYasha, ready to put her plan into action. It didn't take long for InuYasha to catch her scent, and soon she found herself face to face with the hanyou. She gave him a sad smile, and placed a hand on his chest.

"InuYasha, you are finally free of my reincarnation. What will you do now?" She asked, knowing that he didn't know about Kagome just yet. InuYasha gave her a confused look, still unable to remember anything. "What do you mean 'free of her'?" He retorted, grabbing her wrist gently.

"My love," She began, "She has choosen Sesshomaru. She is with him at his castle." She locked eyes with him, inwardly laughing at the hurt and anger that showed in his eyes. "InuYasha, you really did not know? How horrible, for her to do that to you." She allowed a sweet smile to come across her face. "Perhaps we should go to the Western lands, and show them that the girl isn't needed here." Kikyo pressed herself against him, pressing her hand to his crotch, making her point known. InuYasha smiled, the need for revenge overcoming his better judgement, and he quickly got Kikyo on his back and headed to the Western lands to spread their scent everywhere.

Sesshomaru had been patroling his lands, deep in thought. He couldn't understand why the Miko would be bold enough to attack his castle, then be so cowardly as to lie to him. Wouldn't she be proud of this minor victory?

Suddenly, he picked up a scent that he detested. The half-breed was in his lands! Of course, he had expected it. But the scent of the dead priestess was accompanying his. Sesshomaru darted towards the two, determind to find out the truth, and was appolled at the sight that greeted him. The last thing he wanted to see was his half-brother fucking the walking dead.

His mind quickly put two and two together. It wasn't Kagome that attacked his home, it was InuYasha and the dead bitch. He stood, shocked for a moment, before regaining his composure. He didn't even grant them the knowledge of his pressence, simply slicing through the two of them. He rained his acid upon them, making sure that they wouldn't rise from the ground before running back to the castle. He had disgraced himself horribly in his treatment of Kagome, and he had to find a way to make amends to the poor girl.
