‘I should have just said no’. After her much needed shower Kagome couldn’t think of what to wear. She didn’t even know what place they were going to take her. By the way Shippou and Kouga dressed she guessed it was a casual-nice sort of dressing she needed to be in. Problem is aside from her school uniform and some regular clothing she didn’t have much nice things.
‘Why didn’t I say no’ she thought for the hundredth time while grumbling. Then she remembered a few things her business partner brought her saying her daughter didn’t like them. She never wore them because looking at the clothes and the label they were super expensive. Actually she thought if she needed the money she could sell them online.
Going over to her closet, looking at the top shelf she saw the pink bag with the clothes in it. As she got it down she looked inside of it and decided the best thing to do is dump all the clothes on her bed. There was one thing that caught her eye right away as it was falling out of the bag. It was a floral ruffle dress with a halter style top. She remembered the white wedge heels in her closet and went to dig them out. She was actually finally excited about this dinner with her new friends now. All that was left was to blow dry her hair and change.
Kouga was not a happy wolf. He was just beaten time after time by the fox kid. Looking at Shippou with a death glare he got up and went to the kitchen. He was getting hungry and needed a snack. His princess was taking forever but he guessed that she was nervous and wanted to try to look nice. Not that she needed to try she already looked really nice to him. He got some water and was about the rummage through the cabinets when she walked out.
“Hey guys sorry it took so long” She looked down embarrassed that she made them wait. Kouga was at a loss for words for once in his life. She looked so adorable. The flower dress and little white shoes she wore just made her look like the best the thing in the world to him. “That is fine Kagome we just finished playing our game and I won…again” Usually this is when Shippou expected his wolf friend to come back with some smart ass remark but this time he was met with silence. Something he was not accustom to when around the wolf. Turning around to look at Kouga he was surprised to find he was just standing there looking at Kagome. This in turn was making her look all different directions but Kouga’s.
He smiled knowing what he was thinking and it was true. Kagome looked amazing in what she wore and how she looked right now. She already had a nice frame to her with long legs, small waist, and nice shapely face and if he wanted to comment about breasts … well they were not huge but not small. Just right in his mind for her shape and size. Her hair was curly and the little bit of mascara and lip gloss he saw was all she needed to look great. Not that he was feeling romantic feelings to her but she did look amazing.
“So… Kouga is there anything you wanted to tell Kagome?” Winking at the wolf knowing full well he would snap out of it. Getting the drift of what he was doing to him Kouga snapped out of it. “You look great princess” He smiled at her making her blush even more now. “Well let’s get going and on the way you can tell us more about this test you took” Shippou said to get everyone moving and talking again. He was starving after all and wanted to eat all he could right now.

“Sesshoumaru” He stopped what work he was doing to look at his father. “What did you think of the girl Kagome today?” Honestly he already knew his father was going to sponsor her at his school. He didn’t need to tell him he thought she was a good candidate. No he would keep that to his self.
“You are already going to accept her at school why do you want to know what I think” His father walked in to the study and sat down in one of the chairs in front of his son smiling widely. “Because she is a miko and the one that we have at our school, while she is good she isn’t great. Plus she will need a shadow to watch over her” He smiled at his son “I don’t want to babysit father” Toga’s smile lowered some at his elder sons words “Well then think of it this way, you will be responsible for her at school only when she needs it. Like with her training. You will be there to oversee it” At this point Sesshoumaru was not happy. He didn’t want to babysit her and he didn’t want to waste time on her.
“So if I decline your offer what will happen?” Toga was prepared for this though. Really his son after all these years still needed to grow up. “If you chose not to then I will chose to replace you from the demon board with someone else. Inuyasha is also my song and because you know that a family member must continue to be on the board.” “You wouldn’t dare! That idiot would make a fool of our family! He is already enough of a tarnish on our name as it is!” “Sesshoumaru! Calm yourself down. You are the eldest and as such you need to act better. Either you look after her or I will remove you” That was all Toga said before he left his son to think things over. He smiled half way down the hall. No, Toga wouldn’t replace Sesshoumaru with Inuyasha. Even he knew that Inuyasha, while still his son, wouldn’t do well on the demon board.
To say Sesshoumaru was pissed was an understatement. There was no choice for him at this point. He was the better choice than his half-wit brother to be on the demon board. All high ranking families had the eldest son or most powerful son on the board. He was both and Inuyasha was nothing compared to him. Rubbing his head he closed the documents he was reading and went to his room. He needed some peace and quiet.
As he was walking to his room he heard the idiot and the idiot’s girlfriend in TV room talking about stupid things. Really that girlfriend of his was nothing more than a door knob. Everyone got a turn with her as long as she wanted you. The whore at one time tried over and over again to be with him but he kept declining her. She then went after Inuyasha like a bee to honey. Sesshoumaru knew She was after their money and name. Most of the other girls at school are just like her. She does have a mother that is successful and their family has money so all he could figure was she was after the name and reputation of the name. He could care less. If their father died he would get everything but a small 5% off the family money that would go to Inuyasha. Everything else was his. He continued to smile and walk to his room when he heard the bitch say she wanted to go out to eat.
“But Inu-baby I wanted to go out to eat tonight” she whined. “Why?! We already ate and now we can sit and watch TV.” She pouted in front of him until he got tired of it. “Fine Kikyou! Let’s go and you better have a place in mind already” She did and she couldn’t help the smirk she had ‘works every time’. She knew he probably wanted something for this which was fine with her. She liked his bedding he did with her only because she didn’t have to fake it long with him. “I do it’s the place called NIV.” “Fine lets go already” Inuyasha wasn’t too happy but after this he knew he could get something he liked from her. Which made him happy in more ways than one.

“What?! You took a test for that school?!” Kouga and Shippou looked at her like she grew a second head as they walked from the parking lot to the restaurant. She didn’t see the problem really, it was a good school “uhmmm yea why?” Shippou laughed “Kagome I’m sorry for the shock but that is the school Kouga and myself go to.” She looked at Shippou like he now had a second head. “Really! I didn’t know. I mean I know Demons go there but I didn’t know that you both went there” “This is going to be great! My princess is going to be around me all the time now”. Kouga grinned to himself. He was happy she applied and now would be at his school. “Well that is if I get in. There is a chance that I won’t.” Kagome looked down at her hands. She tightened her hold on the small black purse she brought with her. She didn’t know why she brought it but from what she read a girl always has one with girly things in it. So it made sense to bring it… kinda. “I am sure you will get in Kagome and it will be nice to see you in school too” Shippou said to her. She smiled at him in return.
“I wonder when they will let me know. Or if they don’t then I guess it means I didn’t get it” “Usually they tell your school in a day or so once they think it over or they call you. That is what they did with a lot of students is call” Shippou told her. Kagome froze “Wait call? Are you sure?” “Yes, is there something wr…. OH! You don’t have a phone!” Kagome started to panic really badly. If she didn’t have a phone and if they couldn’t call she would miss her chance. She never needed a phone really because she never had anyone to call. “oh crap! Now I won’t get in!”
Kagome was on the verge of crying when Kouga came over to her and grabbed her hand in his. “Kagome if you let me I would be more than happy to get you a cell phone. This way you won’t miss anything else important” She looked at him so caring at that moment he almost wanted to hug her and never let anything else bad happen to her. “Kouga I can’t let you get me something like that. It’s not right I will just have to see what I can do I guess” Kouga really wanted to get her the cell phone. Plus it’s not like he couldn’t afford it especially for someone as sweet as she is.
Shippou could feel all the mixed feelings right now with her. He wished for her to get into the school as well. “How about this, just for right now let’s eat and then we can talk about a phone later” Shippou looked to both of them waiting for their answers. “Okay Shippou let’s eat and we can talk later” Kagome was sad but she knew it was her fault. Plus she was still excited about going to eat. She never had been out with friends to eat since she was a little girl. Kouga nodded and kept holding her hand as they walked into NIV.
To say the place was gorgeous was an understatement. Decorated with gold and pink colors it was like heaven. Some small music was playing as people talked and enjoyed the food and people there are with. It was filled with people her age but mixed with a little younger and older people. It wasn’t the place for a grandparent or traditional people either. Honestly she knew it was a pricy place to eat and it made her want to turn around and walk out. She also was getting looks from other people. It didn’t make her feel welcome.
“What do you think princess?” “It’s very nice but do you guys think it’s too expensive. It’s okay if you do we can go someplace else” She tried to turn around but Kouga still hold her hand pulled her around and started to walk to a table near the window. They got a huge booth that could sit 5 people if needed. She sat in the middle with Shippou to her right and Kouga to her left. She was a little uncomfortable and when she opened the menu she felt even more so. Shippou felt the uneasiness from her. “Kagome do me a favor and order what sounds good. Don’t worry about the money part okay? Please for me?” Shippou smiled to her once she agreed to with question.
After they ordered they talked a little about what to expect at the school. It was very helpful information if she did get into the school. When their food came it looked amazing. She couldn’t believe how good it tasted and looked. She tried not to eat fast but it was just so good. Kouga laughed at her teasing her a bit with saying she looked like she didn’t eat for days. After dinner Shippou ordered a dessert he wanted her to try. When it came both males laughed at her face. She was so innocent looking. The dessert was a tall glass full of strawberry ice cream with a scoop of mint chocolate ship on top with whip cream on top of that with chocolate syrup, mint sticks on the side and a few pieces of strawberries, peaches and kiwi on the top. She tried a bite of it and was in love with the sugary treat. The two demons looked at each other glad that she was enjoying the night out.

Of course Kikyou made Inuyasha take the convertible to show off but he didn’t seem to care much. As they pulled up to the front for valet parking she waited till the door was opened for her. When Inuyasha came around to open the door she got out like she owned the place. People of course turned to look at her.
As they walked in everyone was looking at her and some came up to chat to her and Inuyasha. Most of the people in the restaurant tonight were from their school. She was also wearing a very tight black dress that was barely long enough to cover her down south friend. Kikyou knew Inuyasha liked it because it would be easy to take off. Her mother always tried to get her to wear cute things like flower dresses but she chose a more sexy style. Plus she needed to “land” a guy when she was young. He would have to be rich and of course Inuyasha was just that. His name has a reputation and he was rich with his daddy’s money. He might not be as rich as Sesshoumaru but still he would do. Plus when they are married/mated he would never think about giving her a prenuptial agreement. She would see to that.
“Let’s get a table already I am starving” Inuyasha said to her. He grabbed her hand and walked to the back-ish area. All the big booths were back there and knowing her she wanted one of them. As he got near the back he saw Kouga and Shippou with a cute girl. So he stopped and walked over to them. What he wasn’t expecting was he knew the girl sitting with them. It had been years but he knew her. “Well if it isn’t the trash I threw away so long ago for something better. How are you doing you dirty worthless human”
Authors Note: Hey so I am up to chapter 5! I know that I have spelling mistakes or some of my grammar is off. Sorry! I actually just finished the first of my last semester of medical school! I will be done soon and then I hope I can give proper love and attention to this story and for the next stories to come. Thanks to all!
