Authors Note:
Thank you for all the reviews. I'm a little under the weather so hopefully I can pump out another chapter before I get back in the groove of things. Any home made remedies for a cough? Dx It's killing me! lol. anyways, I thought this chapter was a bit...ehh. what's the word... dull? but I think it shows that Sesshomaru's soft side, at least a little. Oh! And next chapter there is gonna be a surprise. The secret mark will be revealed! :D uhhh... unless I took that part out. >.> Then it'll still be a surprise but... ya'll wont really know why it was randomly........ you know what... I'm just gonna shut it. xD

Sesshomaru sighed, sitting in the waiting room of the clinic. He wasn’t even sure why he was here again. He had told himself again and again that he wouldn’t but here he was, sitting in the waiting chair, with a small bag of jellybeans. Inuyasha use to be nutty about the things, he wasn’t sure if he felt the same way still. Sesshomaru tilted his head towards the waiting desk, seeing Kagome walking quickly towards Sesshomaru.
“Sorry, I was-“
“I don’t care. Give these to Inuyasha and tell him I’ll not be back.”
Kagome frowned, keeping her hands down, refusing to reach up and take the jellybeans. “I think it would be better if you stayed here and gave them to you himself. He’s expecting you.”
Sesshomaru sighed, standing and glaring at Kagome. “I can’t be bothered with this, I have work to-“
Kagome rolled her eyes and turned around. “He’s your brother, and for whatever reason he feels that you are the only one he can trust. He’s been so depressed.”
“I thought you said he was good?”
“He was, but he’s been depressed. He hardly eats..”
Sesshomaru scoffed and followed Kagome reluctantly.
Once they reached his floor Sesshomaru stepped inside the observation room, watching Inuyasha. The boy was clothed in a pair of light gray pants, sitting on the floor by the door. He was watching the door anxiously. Sesshomaru turned and looked at Kagome. “Does he do that often?”
“Every day. He gets all excited when the door opens, then gets depressed when one of the nurses come in. It’s like he expects you to walk in.”
Sesshomaru set his suitcase and jacket down then walked to the door. Kagome punched in the code and the door buzzed. Inuyasha peeked around, smiling brightly when Sesshomaru stepped in. Inuyasha quickly moved to his hands and knees and bowed before sitting up on his back legs. “Master! You came!”
“Yes well I can’t stay long. I need to get back to work.”
Inuyasha moved forward, crawling next to Sesshomaru he rubbed his head against his leg. “I’ve missed you so much.”
Sesshomaru stepped away from the affection and held out the jellybeans. “I bought these for...” He cleared his throat, cutting himself off. “One of the women at work gave these to me. I have no use for them, so you may have them.”
Inuyasha looked at the small clear bag moving up so he was up on his knees. He closed his eyes and opened his mouth. Sesshomaru glanced at the two way mirror, knowing Kagome was there. He clenched his jaw up opened the bag and selected a few red jellybeans. He placed them each inside Inuyasha’s mouth, who eagerly ate them once Sesshomaru’s hand was out of the way.
Sesshomaru walked to the bed and sat down, setting the bag of treats next to him.
“You need to stop this act.”
Inuyasha followed him, sitting in front of him. He frowned, tilting his head. “Master?”
“This Master act you have. I know my brother. He would not be so weak as to let this happen to him. MY Inuyasha is strong and brave.”
The door opened and Kagome stepped in. “What are you doing? Not yet Sesshomaru he isn’t ready!”
Sesshomaru stood up. Inuyasha whimpered and moved to get out of the way of the upset Sesshomaru. The demon moved up to Kagome, inches from her. “You wanted my help, I gave it. I’ll do whatever I feel in necessary.”
Kagome frowned and stepped back looking away. “Please...just give us more time. We need to figure out what’s wrong with him.”
“Master?”
Kagome and Sesshomaru both looked at Inuyasha who was sitting quietly on the floor. He bowed his head and crawled to Sesshomaru’s feet, nuzzling against his leg like a happy tiger cub. “Why is she saying something’s wrong with me?”
Sesshomaru stepped away from the boy giving a soft growl. “Because you didn’t use to behave like this. You were a strong half demon Inuyasha, and now you’re nothing but a weak link. One I cannot afford to have in my life.”
Inuyasha looked up at him, his eyes wide. “Don’t leave! Wait! I’ll be braver and stronger I promise! I’m sorry Master please! Don’t leave me!”
Sesshomaru grabbed Inuyasha and threw him across the room. Kagome yelped out and frowned watching helplessly. Sesshomaru huffed and turned away from the boy leaving the room. Kagome behind him.
“What the hell was that Sesshomaru? God have you lost your mind!”
Sesshomaru smirked, liking the sound of that. He wished that was what it was though. He was trapped inside. He was lost inside. He wanted his brother to be strong, yet he adored the man at his feet. He wanted his old brother back, yet he cherished every meeting with the new Inuyasha. It was so confusing and...disgusting. Sesshomaru lowering his standards to a half breed, his brother no less. Yet here he was, wanting to go back into that room and take him home.
“He’s weak.”
“He’s your brother.”
“He’s not my brother.”
“He will be. Please... just let us work with him. You’re the only one that seems to be able to connect with him now, you’re our only chance Sesshomaru.”
The man turned on Kagome, looking into her eyes. “Me?”
“Yes. If you just... let me observe a few more meetings, I can figure this out.”
Sesshomaru clenched his jaw, looking at the door, he could hear the soft sobs coming from behind it. Inuyasha was crying. Pathetic.
“You’ll be able to fix him?”
Kagome held back the smile, nodding. Sesshomaru turned away from her and headed for the door.
“Thank you Sesshomaru.”
The man didn’t reply, not having anything to say. He wasn’t sure why he was going back in the room. Kagome pressed the button and the door unlocked, letting Sesshomaru back in.
Inuyasha lifted his head, his eyes wide. “Master!” He quickly crawled over to Sesshomaru resting his forehead against Sesshomaru’s knee. “I missed you.”
Sesshomaru rolled his eyes and sat back down on the bed. “What do you do all day in this room Inuyasha?”
The boy sat down next to Sesshomru’s feet, wrapping his arms around Sesshomaru’s leg, his cheek against Sesshomaru’s knee. “I wait for you.”
“Why?”
“Because you are my master.”
Sesshomaru reached down and grabbed Inuyasha’s ear gently. The half breed closed his eyes and tilted his head back giving a soft moan. Sesshomaru’s eyes went wide and he kicked his foot out getting the boy away from him. “What the hell was that!?”
Inuyasha moved away, frowning, his ears pinned back. “N-nothing Master. You just...every time you touch me it makes me feel good.”
“Don’t say that!” Sesshomaru snapped, his eyes narrowing. “This is....far to much. Don’t touch me anymore.”
Inuyasha whimpered and scooted closer resting his hands on the bed next to Sesshomaru. “Yes Master.”
“Stop calling me master.”
“Yes Sir.”
Sesshomaru sighed, watching Inuyasha who was smiling brightly.
“Why are you smiling?” Sesshomaru asked tilting his head ever so slightly.
“You brought me candy.”
Sesshomaru glanced down at the jellybeans, pushing the bag closer to Inuyasha.
“They are all for you.”
Inuyasha rested his chin on the edge of the bed, that grin still on his face.
“Thank you.” Inuyasha said quietly, watching the bed. Sesshomaru reached his hand over and pet Inuyasha gently, this time a soft happy whine escaped Inuyasha.
“You’re....welcome.”
