Surprise, Surprise. By: Rip Van Winkle
“Because Mrs. Hankamaru had her baby this past week, and will be on Maternity leave for the next two month. The faculty of the history department have decided to hand over her studies for the time being to another Instructor from the department.”
I wasn’t at all surprised by the news, I knew that sweet Mrs. Hankamaru was going to ‘pop’ soon. It was just a matter of time really, the woman’s stomach look liked she was carrying an 80 pound medicine ball.
I watched lazily as the short man continued to drone on and on about what actions would be taken until we got our instructor back. He also said something about how our new substitute Professor was a new face to the history department.
“Now Mr. Takahashi should be here any minute, please remember students that even though he is new to our school, please treat him with respect.” I had to hold back a snort, the man was seriously talking to us like we were a bunch of misbehaved brats. Did he seriously thi-
“Now Jaken, I do appreciate the concern, but I believe I can handle it from here.”
“Why yes of coarse Inuyasha…class this will be your knew professor, Mr. Inuyasha Takahashi.”
I know my mouth was hanging open, I know I probably looked stupid, but I couldn’t help myself, because right there, strutting down my classroom steps was the very man that fucked me into oblivion last weekend.
“It is nice to meet you all, do forgive me if I am unable to remember all of your names by heart.”
I couldn’t believe it, Inuyasha was my new Instructor, I didn’t even know he was older then me.
I didn’t know he was a freaking college professor.
And I sure as fuck didn’t know, he was a college professor at my school.
I watched as Inuyasha talked a bit to Mr. Kaeru then turn to address my class again. I couldn’t really pay attention to what he was saying. I was too freaking shocked to really do anything else, but impersonate a fish.
“I leave the rest to you Takahashi, if you have any problems please do not hesitate to come to me.” The sound of the latch on the door catching is what brought me back.
“Now before I began I would like you each of you to tell me your names and what majors you’ve chosen. Lets start from the front row then work our way up”
I heard my classmates beginning their short introductions, it would be a while before it got to me, I had a habit of sitting in the last row.
God Inuyasha still looked good…even though I just saw him last weekend and it is a bit hard for a person to change their image in a little over a week, he still looked delicious. A cranberry red button up dress shirt, tucked loosely into his black slacks, with his wild silver hair, pulled back into a long braid, but what really completed his look were those silver rimmed glasses perched on the end of his nose. I wonder what it would be like to -
“Excuse me Miss?”
“I-Yes Professor?!”
“If you’re going to daydream, please do it on your own time. Now state your name and major”
I felt my face heat up with a blush, I can’t believe I made a fool out of myself in front of my classmates and him!
“Yes…my name is Kagome Higurashi and my major is nursing.”
It continued down the line, like so. And moving on to the next student, but once again my mind had wonder, but I couldn’t help myself this time, my new history professor was eyeballing me, giving me that same look he gave me just the other night. Smoldering amber eyes, staring at me over those silver rimmed glasses, his 'Demon' looking right at me.
…I’m not a very religious person, but…whatever god is willing to listen. Mrs. Hankamaru Please, please, please, please, PLEASE! Just take the rest of the semester off!!
