A Whirlwind From The Past

Thank so much for the reviews! As long as they keep coming, so will the updates!

Break Down: [ ] text in brackets are thoughts. Enjoy! ^_^

“Sango, do you know where my favorite dagger is?” yelled Kagome from her dresser. “The one that you hide in your hair or inner thigh?” Sango asked back. “The one that I hide in my inner thigh.” Kagome answered back.

Sango stood still for a few minutes as if retracing her steps of the evening. Suddenly, she jolted when the location of the dagger in question was recalled. “ oh, it’s in the bottom left drawer!”

“Thanks a bunch Sango, I don’t know what I would have done without my favorite dagger.” Kagome came back to the gathering area once she strapped in the dagger. “ you have other favorites, what’s so special about this one? In fact,” Sango narrowed her eyes in suspicion,
“I’ve never seen this one before.”

Sango stood with her hip pivoted to the side, waiting for the answer. All of her waist length chocolate colored tresses was in a high pony tail with a few bangs escaping to come over her forehead. She had a leather skin tight outfit that helped her blend in the darkness and a matching trench coat to conceal her weapons. [ she fits the part but at the same time does not. She can revert from talented assassin to another girl friend in seconds. We are the only girls in the Brethren elite. And we are both abnormalities in our own way]. Perhaps, that was what allowed them to bond like no other assassins could.

Sango was growing impatient with Kagome just staring at her like she was an idiot. So she snapped her fingers in her face to get her attention. “Earth to Kagome! Is everything alright in there?” she mocked. Kagome shook her head to clear it from her previous thoughts. “ yeah, I’m sorry I spaced out.”

“So, why did you need this specific dagger?” she reminded her again. Kagome looked past her skin tight leather outfit, past the leather corset holding her daggers, past the belt that held the bullets for her guns, and past her prized silver magnums. Her eyes only concentrated on the crimson dagger before she clamped the middle of her trench coat, successfully hiding the crimson eye sore. “All in due time Sango, all in due time.” And with those words she made her way to those who made up her group.

Sango was worried. She has never seen Kagome change moods so suddenly, not since the first day she joined the Brethren. Whatever it is that she was expecting to see, she was more than prepared to deal with. [I’ll wait and give her time to come to me. Won’t do me any good if I push her to tell, all that would do is push her further away]. Checking that everything was in place, she made her way to her fellow Brethren members as well.

[forgive me Sango, but I can’t tell you, not yet. This dagger has to do it’s job of killing the one who wronged me before I am ready to move on and tell my story]. With that thought, Kagome teleported her group to the vampire lair.

Sango always felt a little dizzy after Kagome teleported them to their destination. But she was certain that there was a weight on her behind and knew that it belonged to her boyfriend. She was never fond of public affection, she made it clear to Miroku that it was something she didn’t want the other assassins poking fun at her with. After all, she has a reputation to uphold as Kagome’s right hand. So it came as no surprise when she felt her body make the automatic response that it always has.

As her hand connected with the side of his face, she made sure to pack in a little extra power in to it. If it was public affection he wanted, well he got it.

Kagome chuckled to herself as the scene unfolded before her eyes. [those two, always getting the attention of our clients the minute we teleport here]. She glanced around them and realized that they are in the common area. [ after all these years it still hasn’t changed. The darkness still reaches toward you in hopes of dragging you in]. She waited for Jaken to arrive and show them to the study. Not that she needed to be reminded of where it was, it would be considered rude to just barge in unannounced and demand his head. No, Kagome had a sense of respect. [ like the bastard deserves it!] she snorted.

This action did not go unnoticed by the vampires who were lounging in the common area. Once their eyes connected with her form, they widened to the point where they might pop out of their sockets. Using her mind, she gave them a message that will make them think twice before crossing her. [ do not have any form of communication unless necessary and, most importantly, do not reveal my past association to the likes of you. To do so, will insure a painfully slow death]. They all paled at her words. Is this the Kagome they all knew and took advantage of? Surely not. Her appearance caused uncertainty but her scent was unforgettable. It seems that Kagome finally got herself a backbone.

Jaken arrived after the threat had been made and bid them to follow them. Kagome made sure to stare down the vampires to give truth to her threat. As they made their way through the maze of rooms, Kagome found herself thinking back to the moments she spent behind these walls. Everything was truly the same. [same eerie feeling] she thought dryly.

Jaken halted the elites at the end of the 5th hall they passed through and went inside the study to alert his master that they were here. The double doors kept the figures hidden but not their scents. [so, he found himself a new whore. As long as she doesn’t get in my way I won’t have to kill her].

“Bring them in, we need to discuss the terms of their employment before they actually go on the missions. I can’t afford mistakes at this point.” with those orders, Jaken went out the door to inform them of his master’s plans. [ if they so much as breathe wrong, ill kill them all].

“ they seem to pack some power but one sticks out the most... not much help though.” Kagura commented. “ you should have just let me train some of ours, they are much better than this swine.”

“ I was guaranteed that they are nothing short of being the best. They know the consequences if this claim was false” he informed her from his place by the window.

Kagura made her way to him and slipped her hands around his waist, purposefully squeezing her breasts on to his back. She leaned up to his ear and gave him her best seductive voice. “ this is nothing but a waste of our time, I could think of other things I’d rather be doing with our time.” she ended by nipping at his ear.

Before he could respond, he was frozen in place by the reflection that the moon cast upon the window. The figure was the last to come in to the room but she out shined the rest. [it can’t be her, she died. The stress must be getting to me because I’m starting to hallucinate].Though her appearance seemed altered, she still smelled of enchanted orchid. Just as he was about to dismiss it as his mind playing games on him, she spoke.

“ Hello Sesshoumaru. Did you miss me these past 50 years?”

And just like that, he was lost.

phew! And so they finally meet! A little longer but had to make it count! lol
Until next time!
