Hey everyone, figured I would try and add another chapter, seeing as the story is in my head and needs to written down before I go crazy. I know that the last chapter was a little gruesome, but I want to capture what CSI is really about, and that’s why Kana was 10 in the story. Sorry if this bothers some of you, but I needed to make the case more interesting. Enjoy
Chapter 5
When night time comes

As the day continued to move forwards, so did the investigation into the three murders. The second body that was uncovered by Inuyasha, turned out to that of a young woman, of about 25, short black hair, pale skin, and she was quite slim, but not underweight.

“Is there any I.D. on the body Inuyasha?” Sesshomaru asked, watching as the evidence was collected, after Kohaku had finished with his portion.

“Ya, I found her wallet, and unfortunately it’s the other victims sister, Kagura.”

“I see, so he killed both. Is it possible that he only killed the little girl so that she wouldn’t interfere with what he was planning on doing to her older sister?” Sesshomaru mused as he continued to watch Inuyasha.

“Possibly, I mean the little girl looks like she was beaten to death, but she doesn’t smell like she was raped, like the other 2 victims do.”

“It is possible that he was only after the older sibling, but we will have to wait till Kohaku is finished his examination first.

“True. Well what do we do now?”
“We wait, go tell the others, that when they are finished that they bring all the evidence to the lab, and from there they can go home and get some rest. I believe that this is going to be one of our harder cases to solve.” Sesshomaru state calmly before walking towards his vehicle.

“I’ll meet you at the lab.” With that Inuyasha turned and went to relay the message that Sesshomaru had given him.

When Inuyasha finally made it back to the lab with Kagome, he could see that the stress was getting to her.

“You ok?”

“Ya, I’ll be fine, just a little tired, I haven’t worked this many hours in a long time.”

“Alright, but if you need time, just let me or Sesshomaru know, and we will see what we can do to help you.”

“Thanks, I appreciate it, but I swear, I’m just really tired.”

As they walked down the corridor towards the evidence room, Inuyasha picked up the familiar scent of Sesshomaru, coming towards them. As they got to the evidence room, they saw Sesshomaru exiting his office, which was conveniently just down the hall.

“You almost ready to go Inuyasha?” He asked when he noticed the two.

“Ya, just dropping the evidence off, I’ll be there in a moment, I’ll meet you in the car, ok?”

“Sure, have a good night Kagome, I’ll see you tomorrow.” With that Sesshomaru turned and headed towards the exit to get the car started.

“You get a ride into work with Sesshomaru?” Kagome asked a little confused by this new information.

“Well ya, we live together, so it makes it easier if we take just the one car into work. We have separate government vehicles that we use here though.” Inuyasha respond, shrugging his shoulders.

“But I thought you made enough to live in your own place?”

“Were brothers, so really it’s nothing for us to live in the same apartment.”

“WHAT!?” Kagome yelled, almost breaking Inuyasha’s ear drums.

“Jeez, would you keep it down, my ears are really sensitive you know.” He replied with his ears folded back, flat against his head.

“Sorry I was just surprised to hear that you and Sesshomaru are brothers.” Kagome said with a slight blush too her cheeks.

“Well duh, didn’t you see the resemblance?”

“Obviously not, besides you didn’t act like anything other than co-workers the entire time you were together.”

“Well that’s to be expected, we need to maintain professionalism on the job, it was one of the stipulations to me being part of his team.”

“Oh, well I guess that makes sense, wouldn’t want anyone to say he was treating you differently than anyone else on the team.”

“Anyways, now that the evidence has been dropped off, I need to get out to the car, or Sesshomaru will skin me alive for making him wait too long. I’ll see you tomorrow Kagome.”

“Ya, see you tomorrow Inuyasha.”

The drive home was quiet for the two CSI, Sesshomaru was always quiet, but Inuyasha usually talked about the cases that they were working on, but tonight he didn’t say a word.

“Is everything alright little brother? You’re awfully quiet.” Sesshomaru asked, sparing a small glance to his brother in the passenger seat.

“I was just thinking about how Kagome reacted when I told her that we lived together, and that we were brothers. She almost freaked out, it was weird that’s all.” Inuyasha replied, still looking out the window. Suddenly he felt a warm clawed hand take hold of his gently, and squeezed a little in a comforting gesture.

“Inuyasha, you know that we have to keep most of the information about us quiet, especially around humans. They don’t understand how demons can mate with their siblings even in this time. This is why we keep our relationship so quiet.” Sesshomaru continued, not removing his hand from his little brothers.

“Ya, I know, it’s just hard to keep it all so quiet, why can’t humans understand that sibling matting’s are not taboo among demons?”

“I know your frustrated with this, and I agree with you, but you know that it has taken humans almost 500 years just to except demons in general, it will most likely take them longer to accept this aspect of demon sociology.”

“I guess you’re right.”

The rest of the drive was in silence, Sesshomaru still holding Inuyasha’s hand softly as he drove. When they pulled into their parking spot in the underground garage of their apartment complex, Sesshomaru, leaned over and brushed the back of his knuckles tenderly against Inuyasha’s cheek. When Inuyasha turned to look at his brother, Sesshomaru closed the rest of the distance and placed his lips softly over his brothers in a loving, tender kiss, to which Inuyasha immediately respond in kind.

“What was that for?” Inuyasha asked as they separated from the kiss, his eyes still half closed. Sesshomaru said nothing, choosing to smile at his brother instead.

“We should up and eat something, maybe have a shower.”

“Sounds good to me.” Inuyasha replied with a smile of his own. He was the only one that ever got to see any kind of emotions on his brothers, normally stoic face, and he loved that fact, because it made the soft smiles, that much more important to him.

They both exited the car, and headed towards the elevators, still holding hands as they waited. When they got up to the apartment, they decided that they would make something to eat first, which for Inuyasha was an easy choice. He walked over to the kettle to start boiling the water, then went to the cupboard and pulled out a cup of instant ramen for himself.

“How is it that after all this time, you still eat that stuff for almost every meal?” Sesshomaru asked, shaking his head as he retrieved some of the left over spaghetti from the night before.

“Are you kidding me this stuff his great!” Inuyasha exclaimed. They pretty much had this conversation every night when they got home.

Once the food was eaten and the dishes were done, Sesshomaru walked to the bathroom, and started the water in the shower. It wasn’t too long after that, that he felt to strong arms wrap around his waist and a face nuzzle into his neck, inhaling his scent.

“I wish I could do this to you in public, you have no idea.”

“I think I do.” Sesshomaru responded as he leaned back into the embrace. “Come on let’s get into the before we use all the hot water.

They both stripped down and went into the shower together. It wasn’t long before the two were kissing each other passionately, tongues battling for dominance with each other, hands roaming over bare, wet flesh.

Once they had finished their shower, the two headed for the room, and curled up against each other, Inuyasha’s head resting on Sesshomaru’s chest, his arm wrapped protectively around Inuyasha’s shoulder. They had just fallen asleep, when the all too familiar song of Sesshomaru’s cell phone started to play on the bedside table.

“Hello.” Sesshomaru answered, still half asleep.

“What? When? Alright we’ll be right in.” He snapped the phone shut and looked over to Inuyasha who was already getting dressed.

“You owe me over time for this.”

With that they both finished getting dressed, and left their apartment, and headed back to the lab.
