“I missed you darling!” Kouga said as he ran up to the couple, waving.

Kagome, thinking he was talking to her, began to speak, “Kouga I have told you about a million times-“

Kouga laughed for a moment. “Oh Kagome, your beautiful and everything… But I’m here for the sexy one.” Kouga said as he winked at InuYasha.

Making a disgusted face InuYasha said “WOAH BUDDY! Back the FUCK up dude!” InuYasha said before he ran off.

Kouga ran after him back-and-forth after InuYasha hollering, “You know you love me baby!”

Kagome just couldn’t believe her ears… or eyes. She thought they hated each other; well InuYasha does, but Kouga? Damn, he was something else. Taking InuYasha instead of her... Wait a minute. Then Kouga would be off her ass. So maybe it was a good thing that he was … gay?

InuYasha on the other hand, was completely terrified with the fact that Kouga was gay…and going after him nonetheless. “LEAVE ME ALONE YOU PERV!” InuYasha said perched high in a tree above Kouga.

Mentally smiling, Kouga just said, “Okay baby, whatever you say!” … and ran off to Kagome, picked her up … and kept running.

InuYasha was standing, stunned … and a bit confused. Then he realized … The bastard just ran off with Kagome.”Hey Kouga! What the hell do you think you’re doing?” InuYasha yelled as he ran off in the same direction, trying to catch up. He couldn’t tell what was going to happen, Kouga was crazy—well that’s what it seemed.

“Kouga what the hell are you doing?” Kagome almost screamed at the running Wolf Demon holding her.

“Well what does it look like? I’m taking you from that mutt!”

“I thought you were gay or something?!”

“Yeah right, and even if I was then I wouldn’t go for someone like him! Do I look stupid to you?”

“Yeah you do actually! Put me down now!” Kagome yelled.

“Suit yourself.” Kouga said as he dropped Kagome right on her butt.

“On Kouga,” Kagome mumbled before she looked around and said, “Where the hell did you take me?” She didn’t notice because she was too busy trying to get him to put her down.

“Into a cave,” Kouga said with a mischievous smile on his face.

“I kind of figured that part out captain obvious, but why?”

“This is why,” Kouga said before he crashed his lips down onto hers and began to stroke her breasts with her hands. Kagome was appalled by his actions and placed her hands on his chest and pushed him off of her.

“Don’t try to act like you don’t want it.” Kouga said before he pushed Kagome onto the cold cave floor and pinned her hands above her head with one hand and ripped her top open with his other hand. He began to massage her breasts as her brought his lips to hers once more.

Kagome was scared, shocked and confused. ‘Why would Kouga do something like this? Why isn’t InuYasha here to save me?’ Kagome thought before she screamed out loud when she felt Kouga rip he skirt and panties off her body.

“Get the fuck out of my way! I have to get Kagome!” InuYasha screamed as he fought off other wolf demons that seemed to be from Kougas pack. “Damn it MOVE” InuYasha now wished he had Tetsusaiga with him, but felt it wasn’t needed for the walk that the two were planning to go on earlier in the day.

He fought his way through what seemed like hundreds of Demons and still more kept coming at him. Why did Kouga go through this much trouble to get Kagome? “KOUGA YOU BASTARD!” InuYasha yelled as he slashed through more of Kougas men, getting nowhere.

Kouga pulled his mouth from hers and asked her, “Well Kagome, are you going to cooperate?”

Kagome glared at him and spat in his face. “Fuck you.”

Kouga, enraged, slapped her in the face hard and not caring that his nails scratched her. “Oh you’re going to regret that.”

Kagome was now visibly shaking and she didn’t know what to do. She knew she couldn’t over power him. Scared and worried, Kagome could only think of one thing to do, “INUYASHA!” she screamed as loud as she could.

“Shut Up!” Kouga said before he struck her once more across the face. “Now he’s going to hear you. Fuck!”

Kouga then picked Kagome up by the neck and before she knew it she was flying across the cave and smashed into a wall. After that was just darkness.

InuYasha heard Kagome scream his name and was now completely enraged. Forgetting about the wolves that surrounded him, he ran off to where he heard Kagome screaming. When he finally reached the cave he saw that Kagome was on the ground unconscious across the cave that Kouga had brought them to, and Kouga was nowhere to be seen.

Not worrying about Kouga at the moment, InuYasha ran over to Kagome and noticed that she was bleeding from various places and her clothes were barely there.

“Kagome, Kagome. Please wake up. I can’t lose you.” InuYasha whispered as he hugged her limp body to closer to his. He could hear her heart beating, but it was very faint.

He pulled away from her a little to look over her and to see the extent of her wounds. She had minor scrapes and cuts on her legs and arms, but had 3 deep cuts on her cheeks. He didn’t want to turn her over in case it would hurt her too much. He placed her lightly on her back and began to clean her wounds.

Kagome began to stir and he eyes fluttered open. She saw a figure above her, but because her vision was still hazy she thought it was Kouga and began to struggle against him. InuYasha held her tighter and whispered soothing words into her ear. As he heard her racing heart begin to slow, he placed her head on his lap and took off his Fire Rat and wrapped it around her.

“InuYasha, I was so scared.” Kagome began to sob into InuYashas’ chest.

“I know Kagome, don’t worry you’re safe now.” InuYasha said as he hugged her closer to him.

For a few minutes Kagome just lay there in InuYashas’ arms sobbing. InuYasha just held her close and waited for the sobbing to subside. Soon after Kagome fell asleep, knowing in her heart that InuYasha would keep her safe.

InuYasha decided that he would bring Kagome back to her time; it was safer there for her. Standing up with Kagome in his arms, InuYasha began the walk to the well.

Finally reaching the well, InuYasha jumped in and passed through that familiar blue light, and on the other side the dark well house. After walking across the Higurashi shrine grounds, InuYasha jumped into Kagomes bedroom window. Stepping into her room InuYasha placed her gently onto the bed and covered her with her pink bed sheets. Afterwards InuYasha decided to take a spot on the floor near her bed and watched her sleep.

Kagome began to stir in her sleep and eventually woke up. She opened her eyes and sat up, looking at InuYasha who had been watching her since he heard her stirring. Kagome studied him for a moment, then stood from the bed and sat in front of InuYasha. Still not saying a word, Kagome reached out and cupped his face in her hand and began caressing his cheek with her thumb. After a short while, InuYasha was beginning to get confused, why wasn’t she saying anything?

“Kagome,” InuYasha paused then said, “What’s wrong with you? You haven’t said anything since you woke up.”

Kagome didn’t answer, but she didn’t avert her eyes from his.

Kagome removed her hand form InuYashas face and said, “Because, I want to forget.”

InuYasha was a little stunned about what she said. Did she want to forget him? Forget about what they shared? But if that was her wish then he would grant it. “What do you want to forget Kagome? I’ll do anything to help you.”

“I want to forget…what happened. I want to forget Kouga, and what he did. I don’t want to remember it ever. I can’t stay like this. Will you… will you help me InuYasha?” Kagome said as tears began to roll down her face.

InuYasha pulled her to him and hugged her as once again that day she cried. When the tears stopped coming, Kagome looked up at InuYasha and kissed him. InuYasha pulled away from her after a few moments and picked her up. He placed Kagome on the bed and moved on top of her to kiss her once more. Kagome broke away from their kiss and gently pushed on InuYashas chest.

“I’m sorry Kagome.” InuYasha said as he moved off of her and the bed. Before he could walk away or go out the window Kagome grabbed the sleeve of his haori, “No InuYasha, stay please… I need you.”

InuYasha looked back at her, a bit shocked from her statement. Kagome then stood up and hugged him; she didn’t want him to leave. Not now, not ever. InuYasha wrapped his arms around her and kissed her. When they had to part for much needed air, InuYasha had a look in his eyes that portrayed all his concern, love, and admiration he held for her in his heart. She could have melted right then and there.

“InuYasha …” Her voice trailed off as she continued to look into his amber pools.

“Kagome, I want to help you, really I do. I don’t want you to go through this alone.”

The words InuYasha spoke to her went straight to her heart. They sounded so sincere. Without even meaning to, tears began to pool in her eyes, eventually falling over and streaking down her cheeks. “Thank you InuYasha.” He smiled at her as he wiped the tears away.
