A Broken Heart Can Be Good...

Kagome walked over to Sesshomaru with her arm holding her crowns. Once Sesshomaru saw her he signaled for a servant that was walking near by to take the flowers from her. The servant did her job without saying a word, when she tried to get the flower crown off Kagome’s head Kagome placed her hand over the servants hand and said “that’s ok I will keep this one on for now, umm…” The servant knew what Kagome want and replied “Aya, My name is Aya.”
“Thank you Aya, please put them in my room for me.” Kagome smiled and saw that Aya smiled back, then something about Aya made her even happier.
Aya left with the flowers to put them away so she could finish her other tasks.
When Aya was out of hearing range Kagome turned to Sesshomaru and asked “Is she human?”
“Yes, she is one of few humans that serve this Sesshomaru. Does that make you happy?” Sesshomaru could see that Kagome’s eyes were glowing.
“Well I just thought you wouldn’t have any humans here because you hate them.” Kagome’s eyes no longer glowed when she said that.
“I don’t hate all humans just a select few.” After he said that he could see that Kagome was happy.
They started to walk along the flower beds, Sesshomaru could smell and see how happy and excited Kagome was.
After half an hour of looking at only half the garden they were coming up to the willow tree with the seat and Kagome had a slight blush on her face because of her thoughts from earlier.
The smell of Kagome’s slight arousal caught Sesshomaru’s attention, when he looked at her he saw her blush and had to wonder what she was thinking about. He looked over to where see kept glancing at and saw the willow tree. If anyone was looking they would have seen the slight glint of playfulness in Sesshomaru’s eyes.
Sesshomaru guided Kagome over the bridge and held the willow branches out of the way so she could get to the seat.
They both sat down on the seat in silence.
After a few minutes Sesshomaru broke the silence. “Kagome, there is a ball next week and I wanted to know if you would accompany me?”
“I would love to, but I have nothing to wear.” She had a sad look on her face that made both Sesshomaru and his beast uneasy.
“That is fine, I will provide you with everything you need during your stay.” Once Sesshomaru had said this he was happy because he saw the gratitude in her smile.
“Thank you.” Was her only reply.
As they sat together Kagome shifted closer to Sesshomaru until she was close enough to entwine her fingers with his and put her head on his shoulder.
Sesshomaru was shocked by her action for a minute until Kagome looked up to him and he caught her eyes with his. They stared at each other and before either of them knew what they were doing Sesshomaru leaned down and kissed Kagome. It felt like a lifetime, but it had only been a few second when Sesshomaru cut off the kiss and was standing up.
“Sesshomaru?” Kagome was shocked that he had moved away so fast but then she heard someone coming towards them.
“I’m sorry for interrupting M’lord but dinner will be served soon.” The servant bowed and left.
“umm… Sesshomaru.” Kagome tried again.
“You must go and get ready for dinner, I will see you then.” Sesshomaru walked away, leaving Kagome alone.
