Reunited Worlds

Chapter Five:

The next day Inutaisha spent time playing with Ichiro and Shizuka while Kagome read from one of her books about pregnancy. Ichiro resumed his usual position of chewing on Inutaisha's ears while Shizuka sat in between her legs as Inutaisha groomed her. "Do you think that I could have twins too?" Kagome questioned her.

"It's a possibility Kagome. However it is hard having twins. If they aren't vying for your breasts then it is something else."

Kagome laughed at Inutaisha's words, "Is it hard?"

"Oh no. You just let them attach themselves to your chest then they do the work for themselves. It's an easy job."

She laughed again, "What happens when they teeth?"

"Now that is hard to deal with. I doubt it will be easygoing for you because it certainly wasn't for me. I know that the children weren't the only ones in pain when they began teething." Inutaisha replied. "Don't worry Kagome. When you get to those stages you will know what to do."

"It's still nerve-wracking. I only have a few months left."

"Don't worry. Whatever happens, i'll be here for you." Inutaisha told her as she grasped Kagome's hand in her own.

Kagome smiled, "I know."

In the darkness of a forest Naraku and Naraka lay waiting in hiding until the opportune moment. "Fate has brought us back and I so want to take revenge on that half-breed bitch." Naraka said as she narrowed her eyes in anger.

"I have a plan." Naraku responded as he looked towards the glistening leaves of the trees ahead.

"Don't you always have a plan?" She asked him humorously.

"Yes. I think before we take out Inuyasha we should focus on his counterpart. I think we need to collar her."

Naraka ticked an eyebrow upwards. "Collar her? What do you mean?"

"She's half-breed but has enough power to transform into a full-fledged demon like her sister. Imagine what we could do with her if we could get take control of her."

"And how do you propose such a thing? How can we collar Inutaisha?"

"Just wait for a while. She will know by now that we are back and come after us. Until then we have to wait and set the bait for her." Naraku replied, his red eyes narrowing as he smirked.

Inutaisha, Kagoru, and their children sat in the hot spring alone. The children splashed at each other while Kagoru rested in between Inutaisha's legs. "This is nice." He murmured as she stroked his wet hair.

"Kagoru, I have something to tell you."

"Yes?"

"I had a dream the other night and mother and father told me that Naraka and Naraku are back. They are weak but they are back."

Kagoru's eyes widened. "Are you serious? Inutaisha they can't be back."

"They are. I've felt uneasy for the past week or so. I know they are back, it is a matter of finding them or them finding us."

"What do you suggest we do?"

"Make a plan. I'm going to kill them this time and make sure they stay dead." Inutaisha said fiercely. She looked at her children then looked down. "We have to make sure they are killed before Kagome and Mirra have their children."

She saw him nod. "Yes. I agree. We need to do this quickly."

"Don't worry Kagoru. Everyone will be fine. Now that I am not pregnant I can really kick their behinds." Inutaisha said with a soft laugh. "And if it gets bad enough, we will hide Kagome and Mirra from them."

"I'm sure we can come up with a plan before Mirra's pregnancy is over. She has two months left right?" Kagoru asked.

"Yes. Don't worry, we'll find and defeat them before she has her baby." Inutaisha asserted, she knew that they would defeat them for good.

"I have faith Inutaisha. I truly do." He said as she smiled. She smirked as she dunked him underneath the water. Kagoru rose and turned to face her. "Hey! What was that for?"

"I'm playing." She replied with a laugh.

Kagoru smiled then splashed her. "I can play too."

Inutaisha laughed again as she and Kagoru splashed at each other. They then settled down and watched their children quietly as Inutaisha began to formulate a plan in her head. She knew that she had to do something soon to protect not only Kagome and Mirra, but her pups.

A/N: Okay, I had to leave off there. I will update soon. I am about to move into a new house, plus I got a new job, then I will be starting school again in two weeks. So give me some time to work on chapter 6. I hope you enjoy and please review!
