One to separate
Chapter 4- One to separate
In a dead castle set high in the sky a man of much sin watched over what events took place to the small traveling group of Inuyasha. “Humm… it would seem that my little miko has gathered someone else’s attention, but not to worry, that can be fixed.” His dark evil voice mumbled. “Kagura go fetch me the witch, it seems I may still have some use of her.”
“Yes master Naraku.” How she hated him…
‘I can’t believe I just did that! With HIM of all people!’ Kagome screamed in her head. As her and Sesshomaru walked back to campsite she tried her hardest to get the blush off her face. Sesshomaru on the other hand didn’t even bother to try and hide his smirk even thought he did look really cute with it on… but this is not the time for that!
‘I don’t understand, it was like my blood called to him. I just couldn’t resist him. If I tried my blood burned. What’s wrong with me?’ These thoughts continued to race in her head. She hoped with all her might that Inuyasha would still be passed out.
When the pair reaches the group all eyes avoid them… well sort of. Sango kept her head down with a deep blush on her face as she continued getting the food ready that she had hunted that morning. Miroku wouldn’t stop wiggling his eye brows and giggling like a school girl until Sango slapped him. Shippo was very nervous, torn between running to Kagome and just staying the hell away from Sesshomaru, Shippo just stayed by the still sleeping Inuyasha.
Since everyone was keeping there distance from the couple Kagome was beginning to feel, what’s the word? Oh yes! AGGAITAED. A knot started forming on the top of her head, but what could she do, lie to them? Say HEY guys, I swear NOTHING happened! What good would that do? They know what the deal is and what is to be expected of her.
Noticing her friends’ distress Sango offered, “Hey Kagome, would you please help me with this?” Pointing to the almost cooked meat. “You have those really tasting herbs in your bag right?” She said with a smile. In her mind, ‘I know something happened but it’s not her fault… she did it to save Inuyasha from himself! How can I judge her when she gave up her first true Love?’
Kagome smiled brightly in return, “Of course I’ll help! And I promise NO medicine will touch it!” She ran to her big yellow bag to get the herbs, while Sesshomaru went and sat down under the tree closets to her and kept an eye out for trouble.

After breakfast, that Sesshomaru did not eat due to the fact that he went hunting when he saw the monk get up this morning and something about the food not bleeding… so as they cleaned up and the group just had to wait for Inuyasha to get up.
They didn’t have to wait very long.
“Oh… my FREAKING HEAD!” Inuyasha yelled, “What the hell did you do to me Sesshomaru! My body…my blood…. Everything hurts more then EVER!” Sweat was dripping off his face and body. He was floating in and out of consciousness. He could feel the battle raging with in him, the fight for blood and that of his own humanity.
“Oh my god! Inuyasha are you alright!” Kagome ran over and kneeled at his side, but before she could lay a hand on his head a growl so deep and loud stopped her mid-air. Her body knew what to do; it told her to pull her hand away and back slowly away from Inuyasha’s body. ‘But I can’t! He’s gotten even worse!’ So she opted instead to take her hands away but turned and gave pleading eyes to Sesshomaru. ‘I know I don’t want to leave Inuyasha’s side but I must still listen to Sesshomaru and …obey… until he helps him.’
Sango at the meantime ran and got a cloth with a bowl that held cold water from the river up ahead. She ran to Inuyasha’s other side and placed the cold cloth over his head. She could see the worry in Kagome’s eyes and the pleading to Sesshomaru for help. She turned and looked at Miroku and Shippo who where standing right behind Kagome. Miroku looked deep in thought at Inuyasha where as Shippo was shaking on Miroku shoulder.
“The cloth will do no good. I need everyone to back away from the half-breed. Now.” Sesshomaru’s spoke in a deep sensuous voice. Even though he spoke to everyone to move, it seems that the words where directed right at Kagome. “I must perform the blood ritual now, before it’s too late.”
“NO SESSHOMARU! Get the hell AWAY from me! I don’t want your help! I would rather die then let you have Kagome!” Inuyasha screamed, he tried his hardest to scratch and claw at Sesshomaru while his eyes started to glow red with bloodlust.
“Please Inuyasha! You have to do this! I want you to LIVE AND BE HAPPY!” tears were poring out of Kagome’s eyes as she could only look at her first love in so much pain falling on her knees with only Shippo to try to comfort her… ‘I have to be strong… Sesshomaru is going to save him… he has to!’
All the while Sesshomaru was trying to pin his half-breed brother down, trying to ignore his soon-to-be mate’s tears and sadness yet he could feel the hope and faith she had in him to save Inuyasha. It seemed that the tears where getting to the half-breed too and was calming him down, just enough time for him to make the mark!
The fangs in his mouth grew and a red tint came over his eyes. Sesshomaru lunged his head down onto Inuyasha’s neck. Inuyasha howled and began to jolt around trying to get this male demon off of him but then his movements started slowing down and his whole demeanor started to turn calmer. With each second that past his eyes started to slowly drop so Sesshomaru began to remove is fangs then he licked his lips of any leftover blood. “The first half is done.” He stated. Sesshomaru then took his own wrist and cut it open, with his other hand he open Inuyasha’s mouth to poor his own life giving liquid into the half-breed. “With this blood from a full demon of his own pack, Inuyasha’s own blood will stabilize and he will now and forever be a half-breed. He will be fine now; he just needs sleep and some time to recover… to let the blood cool down.”
“Oh Sesshomaru thank you! Thank you so much!” Kagome ran over to Sesshomaru with tears still in her eyes, but she did something unexpected. She jumped him. She full out Jumped him. Wrapping her arms around him she began to place small kisses all over his cheeks mumbling thank you over and over again! The demon lord was even shocked to see her like this. Even though you could only tell by his golden eyes opening just a little wider. Deep down, in his darker then dark thoughts, he knew she was just happy that her half-demon love was going to live. ‘I will make her mine. And she will worship me like she worships him. That is the goal. And NOTHING will change that!’ On the outside Sesshomaru’s eyes turned just a shade darker and with that resolve set deep within his mind he stated, “It was nothing, it had to be done. You had my word so now you must keep yours MY dear Kagome.”
