Chapter Five:
Kenshi began to whimper and his little rose bud mouth searched for something. Miroku shifted Kenshi to a
dusky pink nipple allowing the pup to suckle.
"Sesshomaru if I may ask you why you sought this person from the beginning?"
"Why would you like to know?"
"Just curious, I mean you never showed any interest towards anyone including myself and I-"
"I caught your scent, and, how you humans like to phrase it-ah, everything else is history" Said Sesshomaru as he
buried his nose in Miroku's Hair. Kenshi looked up at his mama and dad as he finished his suckling, and nodded
off to sleep.
"We will leave at once from this place, and claim your proper title as my mate-"
"Miroku, please call me from my given name" Sesshomaru raised an eyebrow.
"My mate Miroku, I will send for all you items now let us take our leave."
"Sesshomaru may I retrieve a blanket I made for my son?"
Sesshomaru nodded as both crawled out of the burrow and walked to the hut. Miroku walked inside and laid the
pup on the futon and dressed his pup comfortably for the travel.
Miroku quikly wrote a short message to Inuyasha and turned to pick up his precious bundle. Walking out He spotted
Sesshomaru staring down Sango as she held he weapon aloft. Sango saw him and grinned as she gave a signal, as
Miroku shifted his wieght from one foot to the other. When all of a sudden he felt an arrow inbed itself near
his heart and looked down to see that the arrow almost hit his pup in the head but him shifting his wieght had
saved kenshi only leaving him with a scratch on his temple. Kenshi feeling something scratch him started wailing
in outrage.
Sesshomaru turned and snarled as he witnessed his matestarting to colapse with an arrow potruding from his chest.
"Sango the damn baka moved but I can still get that bastards mutant!" Cried Kagome as she revealed herself.
"KAGOME, SANGO WHAT THE FUCKING HELL ARE YOU DOING HERE LEAVE MIROKU ALONE!" screamed Inuyasha as he landed next
to Sesshomaru.
"Sesshomaru take him and go I will follow momentarily"
Sesshomaru nodded as he lifted his mate in his arms.
(Kenshi being held by miroku, but leaning into Sess so he wont fall)
Sesshomaru traveled as fast as he could to reach his estate, he had a horrible realization that he may lose his
mate and the thought terrified him. Landing at his estate Sesshomaru called for a healer and a nurse maid to
handle his pup until Miroku could be revived. Hours past and only Inuyasha showed up.
"My Lord Your mate has been put into a deep sleep, no one can seem to awaken him and if we try to touch the
arrow it will burn whose ever hand tried to touch it."
Sesshomaru felt as something in him that he couldn't name before felt void, and aburptly realized it was
his heart.
His mate and heart where one in the same.

A servant grinned at the news happily as she heard the healer. She had another chance to find a way to
Mate Sesshomaru.
