Chapter 4:

Inutaisha sighed as she looked out towards the village. Inuyasha was with her. They had been talking about each other and their feelings about Kagoru and Kagome. "About the incident yesterday.." Inuyasha started then stopped when Inutaisha raised her hand.

"I know you are not to blame." Inutaisha said.

"How do you feel about Kagoru?" Inuyasha asked.

"I love him to tell you the truth." Inutaisha said honestly.

"I wish I could tell Kagome that." Inuyasha told her as he sighed softly.

"You can. Just take your time. I know how hard it is." Inutaisha commented then sniffed the air. She sniffed again and scowled.

"What is it Inutaisha?" Inuyasha asked.

"Wolfie's here." Inutaisha replied then stalked off towards the village with Inuyasha in tow.

Meanwhile, Kagoru looked out of the hut as a large tornado sped their way. "Uhoh. We got trouble." Kagoru commented.

"What is it?" Kagome asked.

"Kimi is here. Whenever she is here Inutaisha and her get in a cat fight. So to speak." Kagoru replied.

The tornado stopped to reveal Koga's counterpart. "Hi Kagoru." Kimi greeted. She then looked around and commented, "Where's the mutt?"

"Inutaisha? Oh she is off with one of our friends." Kagoru answered.

"Good. Maybe she will be gone long enough for us to talk." Kimi said with a smile then sat down next to him.

"Kimi. You really need to stop being mean to Inutaisha. She is my friend." Kagoru tried to explain to her.

Kagome observed Kimi and Kagoru talking. 'Is that really how it looks when Koga and I are together?' She asked herself.

"I don't see what you see in a half-breed. I mean demons are much stronger." Kimi commented.

"I don't see how you can say that. Being a demon doesn't make you stronger. It only means you have pure blood." Inutaisha interrupted. "Nor does it make you better."

Kimi sighed. "Hello mutt." She said then stood up.

"Do not call me that." Inutaisha said firmly.

"Inutaisha, do not fight." Kagoru said to her.

"I don't intend to. She can back off and leave." Inutaisha said through gritted teeth.

"With my tail between my legs. Yeah right." Kimi said as she stood beside Kagoru. "That would be something you would do."

"I don't have a tail though it does remind me of someone." Inutaisha replied while grinding her teeth together.

"Who?" Kimi asked.

"You." Inutaisha answered with a snarl.

Kimi and Inutaisha noses were almost touching. Kimi then turned around and sniffed the air. "Gotta go. See you later Kagoru." Kimi said then sped off.

"See! Get back here wolfie! You coward!" Inutaisha shouted.

"Inutaisha, you need to stop being mean." Kagoru said to her.

"What! I was defending myself." Inutaisha shouted in disbelief.

"That doesn't justify your behavior. I'm trying to create a hospitable enviroment here." Kagoru told her.

"Typical. You always defend her. Even when she insults me." Inutaisha said. Her voice hitched a bit. "I'm leaving. See you later."

"Inutaisha, wait!" Mirra called after her.

However, it was too late she had already bounded off. "I have the same problem Kagoru." Kagome commented.

"The thing is that Inutaisha usually doesn't start it, but she knows how to continue it." Kagoru said.

"I think you should apologize." Inuyasha told Kagoru.

"I didn't do nothing." Kagoru said.

"Thats right. You did nothing." Inuyasha said as he looked towards the road. "Give her a little time alone. I'll go up and get her then."
