thehotty: I'm sorry we were away for so long. My computer wouldn't let me on the site.

Kagome: It really pissed her off. She blew up at her boyfriend about it.

Miroku: And he didn't fix the problem until tonight.

thehotty: And I'm still mad about it.

Sesshoumaru: We'll just leave you to the story now.

“As you are all aware of the Court gatherings, we are to have all Lords and Ladies present. As you can see, they are. We welcome Lady Kagome of the West, Lord Inu-no-Tashio of the South and Lady Izayoi of the South to your first Court gathering.

“Also, as you are all aware, we have chosen our Judge for this meeting, Inu Yasha. We have two spiritual beings as well. Lady Keadea, as acting Miko, and Miroku, as acting Monk. They have already blessed the Court and its people, as you’ve all just witnessed.

“The Late Lord Kibito of the South has requested this meeting, so he shall approach the Court at this time to explain why we are here.”

The booming voice of some High Noble called out to the gathered crowd and Kouga rolled his eyes.

“I always hate that part of the stupid Court,” he whispered to Kagome, who nodded in turn.

She watched her father step forward to a table set in front of Inu Yasha and the Lords and Ladies. A glass of foggy water sat upon it.

“As is customary, Late Lord Kibito, you are to drink the truth syrum in front of you. Drink the whole glass,” Inu Yasha instructed and Kibito did as told, replacing the empty glass on the table.

“Lord Kibito, please tell the court why we’ve been called here and present any evidence you have or witnesses there may be,” Inu Yasha’s voice called out again.

“Hai, well, it has been brought to my attention that a Lord had been raping and abusing women. I have two witnesses,” Kibito offered.

“This is a serious crime you’re accusing one of them for. Please, tell the Court who you think is doing this,” Inu Yasha asked.

“Lord Naraku of the Western Lands.”

“And who are these witnesses?” Inu Yasha asked again, already knowing who.

“Lady Kagome of the Western Lands, and my daughter, and her personal servant, Yura, the hair demon,” Kibito revealed.

At this, Naraku glared at Kagome, who shifted herself to be seated closer to Kouga on her left. Kouga glanced up and noticed this before glaring back at the other Lord.

“Lord Naraku, do you recognize the accusations against you?” Inu Yasha asked.

“Hai, I do.”

“And are you willing to take the truth syrum and defend yourself?”

“Hai, I am.”

“Lady Kagome, are you willing to take the truth syrum and support your fathers claim?” Inu Yasha asked her.

“Hai, I am as well.”

“Yura, will you please step forward,” Inu Yasha called into the crowd.

As she approached the table, Naraku glared at her, a silent promise of death in his eyes.

“Are you willing to support Kibito’s claims?”

“Hai, I am.”

“Kibito, your two witnesses have agreed to support your claim. We will finish questioning you and then proceed to them. Please sit down.”

Kibito sat at the pillow that had been placed in front of the table and waited.

“Is it true these two ladies are from your home originally?” Inu Yasha asked.

“They are.”

“Is it true that you had a debt to Lord Naraku?”

“It is.”

“Could you pay this debt off?”

“Iie, I could not.”

“Why is this?”

“The debt doubled every second full moon.”

“Is it true that you offered your daughters hand to Lord Naraku?”

“Hai, I did.”

“She agreed?”

“Hai, she did.”

“Why did you offer her hand to him?”

“As a payment and a peace treaty.”

“Is it possible you set this up? What I mean to say is, could you have possibly done this to spite him for what he has done to you?”

“I could have.”

“Did you though?”

“Iie. I have more honor than that.”

“When did you first hear about the rape?”

“The first time was the day after the wedding. My daughter came to me crying. When I questioned her to what had happened, she couldn’t speak. Her servant, Yura, offered to explain that Naraku had raped her. At that time, I couldn’t do anything because of the peace treaty we had. That, and they were heading out shortly after I was informed to the Western Lands. Again I was informed at her arrival just several days ago.” Kibito glanced up to his daughter to see how she was fairing.

She glanced at Naraku, who seemed more and more upset.

“And the abuse? When did you first hear of this?”

“When she arrived just several days ago.”

“Were there any clues to give away the abuse?”

“Hai. Inu-no-Tashio was in my study at the time. He had been frustrated with her and began to raise his voice. She flinched and tried to back away at this. Also, when she arrived, she seemed joyous and happy until he spoke. She didn’t look at him and became nervous. Again, when he had wrapped an arm around her, she cringed and tried to move away without anyone noticing.”

“You did not mention Inu-no-Tashio at the beginning.”

“He is not a witness. He was only present when Kagome and Yura informed me of the going ons.”

“It makes him a witness. Lord Inu-no-Tashio, are you willing to support Kibito?”

“Hai, I am,” Inu-no answered.

“Kibito, is that all you have?”

“Hai, it is.”

“If we need to ask anymore questions, we will call you up and ask more.”

“Hai.”

“You are dismissed, but do not leave this room.”
With that Kibito stood up and walked over to an empty seat next to Yura, who patted his hand in comfort.

Inu Yasha turned to the Lords and Ladies present behind him.

“You have all heard Kibito’s testimonies. You can either call him back up or we shall move on to the next witness, Yura, the personal servant.”

Lord Hitten of the Northern Lands stood up. “Bring the servant.” The thunder demon called out.
“Of course. Yura, the hair demon, please take the seat in front of you.” Inu Yasha turned around.

Yura quickly sat down while someone replaced the empty glass with another one, full of the foggy liquid once again.

“Drink the truth syrum.”

She obeyed quickly and replaced the glass, avoiding looking at Lord Naraku.

“You are Lady Kagome’s personal servant, correct?”

“Hai, my Lord,” she answered while nodding her head.

“You left wit them when she went to the West?”

“Hai, my Lord.”

“How did you like the West?”

“I would not know what it’s like, my Lord.”

“Oh? And why is that?”

“Lady Kagome and myself were not allowed to leave her room unless it were to bathe.”

“I see. When did you first find out about Lord Naraku raping the Lady?”

“The day after the wedding, my Lord.”

“What happened?”

“I had came into her room to pack her belongings and get her ready to leave. I found her lying on her bed naked. I was grumbling to myself and must have awoke Lady Kagome. She began to cry and told me that monster had raped her. When I had suggested to tell Lord Kibito, he had appeared and told me that it was not his business and it was not mine. I took her to the study where she collapsed into Lord Inu-no-Tashio’s arms crying. When she was asked what happened, she couldn’t answer, so I answered for her. Before anything could get anywhere, he” this was almost snarled out, “showed up. She said her good-byes and we left.”

“Please watch your tone and how you address people at Court. Now, can you explain to the Court what life was like for you and the Lady, as far as you know, in the West?”

Hai, my Lord. The first day we were there, he had dragged both of us to a secluded part of the castle and told us to not leave the room unless we were going to bathe. Later that day, he showed up in the room and told me to get out. I went to place the kimono’s I had been putting away down when he grabbed my hair and began to hit me repeatedly, even using his claws and tentacles. I found myself being woken by a passing servant.
“When I returned to Lady Kagome, she laid on her bed in a bloody heap. I cleaned her up and sent her to bed. After this, I left the room the minute he appeared, only to find her the same way every time he left. He came at least three times a day and one time he had came eight times.”

“How was life upon coming back here?”

“When we returned and I was getting ready to go get the luggage, he accused Lady Kagome of being a whore, saying he wouldn’t stay in the same room as her. He hasn’t come to her room once.”

“Where were you during this time?”

“In my room across the hall, my Lord.”

“Did you ever see a healer about the cuts?”

“We tried to persuade the healer of the castle, but she refused to help because of orders, my Lord.”

“What orders?”

“To not help the new Lady in any way, my Lord.”

“What do you mean by new Lady?”

“According to the healer, he had taken many wives, mainly from lower Nobles. He raped them and beat them all. They either died by a beating or had taken their own lives, my Lord.”

“Had you asked anyone else about this?”

“Iie, my Lord.”

“Why not?”

“Nobody would look at us, my Lord.”

“How long have you been in Lady Kagome’s service?”

“Since she was five, my Lord.”

Inu Yasha turned to face the Court. “Do you wish to ask anymore questions, or shall we call Lord Inu-no-Tashio?”

“I care to ask one more,” Kouga stood up.

“Of course, Lord Kouga. Ask,” Inu Yasha acknowledged.

“Yura, how can you be sure that he actually is raping her, if you haven’t seen it happening?”

“I’ve heard it happening, my Lord.”

“What do you mean, you’ve heard it?”

“I’ve heard him moaning. I could smell it in the air. I am a demon, but I am not ignorant to the smells and sounds around me, my Lord,” Yura glared at Kouga, who sat back down with a nod.

“Any more questions?” Inu Yasha asked. When nobody answered, Inu Yasha faced Yura once again. “You are dismissed. You may not leave the Court room until we are finished. Lord Inu-no-Tashio, please take a seat and drink the truth syrum.” Inu Yasha quickly grumbled a ‘stupid traditions’ underneath his breath while another glass of foggy liquid was placed on the table.
Inu-no sat down and drank the vile stuff and set the cup down.

“When was the first time you heard about the rape?”

“After the wedding”

“Is what those two say true?”

“Hai.”

“Are you sure?”

“Hai.”

“Is what happened when she returned true?”

“Hai.”

“Is there any connection between this and you gaining Lordship over the South?”

“Iie.”

“Is there anything else I’m missing?”

“Iie.”

Inu Yasha turned to face the Court. “We’ve heard the same story three times. All of you know that Lady Kagome is going to be the most heart breaking. If you wish, you may question Lord Inu-no-Tashio some more, have Lady Kagome up or bring Lord Naraku up. First things first. Is there anymore questions for Lord Inu-no-Tashio?” Inu Yasha asked.

No one stood and Inu Yasha continued. “All in favor of giving the Lady the stand?”

Kouga, Kagome, Izayoi, Inu-no and Kanade all stood up.

“Majority rules. Lady Kagome, please take the seat, Lord Inu-no, you are dismissed. Please do not leave the room until Court is over, not like you have a choice, or anything,” Inu Yasha grumbled.
“Lady Kagome, please drink the syrum.”

Kagome quickly finished up the drink and placed the glass on the table and gagged.

“OH! That’s nasty!”

A few people snickered at her and Kibito frowned.

“Lady Kagome, can you please tell the court what happened on your wedding night?”

Her face fell quickly from disgust to fear. Her eyes swept from Naraku back to Inu Yasha.

“Uhm… I guess I should, uh? Well, as you are aware, I had dismissed myself from the dancing and Lord Naraku had escorted me to my room. He then proceeded to tell me that now I was his wife and I was to let him do with my body as he wishes. He advanced to me, and I tried to back up and fell over onto my bed.” Tears began to fall down her cheeks as she continued. “He ripped off my oobi and I tried to scoot back while holding my kimono closed. He held my legs down with a tentacle and then my arms. He undressed and told me he had raped many girls and then proceeded to do so to me.” Sobs racked her body. “He forced himself into my mouth and made me swallow when he finished. Then he got dressed and left.”

Kagome covered her face and Yura quickly came to her side to comfort the woman.

Inu Yasha turned to face the Court. “Do you wish to hear more? I know I have heard more than enough.”

Lord Hitten stood up. “I have a question. Lady Kagome, had Lord Naraku abused you, and if so, do you have any bruises, cuts, or scars to show us as proof?”

Kagome nodded her head while pulling up her sleeves. Long, deep gashes and fading bruises lined her arms.

“I will not allow anymore questions! Lady Kagome, please take your seat. Lord Naraku, take the truth syrum.”

As Kagome passed him, Naraku scowled at her. He downed the drink and sat down.

“Lord Naraku, have you ever hit an onna?”

“Perhaps.”

“Lord Naraku, answer the question.”

“I may have.”

“Answer the question or go to the dungeons. And once you get there, you’ll stay there until we are prepared to question you further,” Inu Yasha warned.

“Hai, I have, you stupid baka!” he snapped.

“Naraku! Watch your tone in this Court!” Inu-no yelled.

“Have you ever raped an onna?”

“Tons of them, but what are you going to do about it?”

“I’ve warned you once. Take him to the dungeons!” Inu Yasha called out and several guards stepped forward and dragged him out of the room. “Now to decide what to do with him. Any ideas?” Inu Yasha asked.

“We really can’t do anything but tell him he has no more power amongst the Lords and Ladies,” Kanade answered.

“And he had no honor. He ruined it completely,” Hitten added.

“Can’t we at least take Kagome away from him? He’s killed helpless women!” Kouga cried.

“He never admitted to it!” Inu Yasha yelled. “The most proof we’ve got on that is the word of some healer that isn’t loyal to her Lady. She was probably jealous and said what she did to scare Kagome and Yura.”

“We could see it in her face. It was the truth Inu Yasha! Nobody would help us! They all mumbled something about it being their orders and quickly darted out of sight. One even yelled I was cursed to death in my face and ran away like hell was at her hells. It wasn’t someone mad because I ended up with him instead of them,” Kagome cried. “You can’t let me stay there!”

She broke down again and fell crumpled to the floor. Kouga glared at him and bend to comfort the woman.

“We can’t do anything. But we can give you all his Lordly power. That’ll make you three times stronger then you already are and give you complete control over the Lands. How about that?” Hitten asked.

“I want guards that can and will keep him out. Miko warriors. Ten of them. And his power. Screw the Lands. I could care less!” she answered through the sobs.

“Can do, but we can’t guarantee what will happen to him or you when you return to the West,” Kouga answered.

“I’ll take care of that. You won’t have to worry about it,” she wiped away her tears and straightened herself. “I’m not going to wait around for him to kill me. I’m going to fight back.”

“That’s dangerous Kagome. Don’t you think you should just take what we’re offering? I know people who can spread the word before dinner. Everyone in the West would listen to you,” Inu-no tried to reason.

“We’ll give her the Miko warriors. Court is adjourned. Father, come along,” Inu Yasha called over the commotion.

“Of course,” Inu-no stood up and quick bowed to the rest of the Court. “If you all will excuse us, I believe there are some matters I must attend to. You are all welcome to stay the night.”

The four quickly left the room and headed down the corridors until they reached the study doors. They all settled into the study upon entering, happy to be away from so many faces.

“So, this is what I’ve been thinking, let them all leave in less than a week. It doesn’t matter when. Actually, at separate times and days, so it doesn’t seem like you’re trying to kick them out. Then wait a week and a half, gather up your army, give it a month while training them, getting them back into shape. If anyone asks, you’ve bee trying to see the army you may have to use to defend your home. Just giving it a check-up at the same time. Anyway, you should send out that messenger and spread the word first thing tomorrow morning. Make sure it sounds and looks like you didn’t order it. Like someone who was at Court was talking about it,” Inu Yasha paused.

“Wait! Are you saying rage war on the West, but in secret?” Kibito asked.

“No! It’s our back up and distraction plan. Seeming as the old man hadn’t thought that far ahead. Hell, he doesn’t even know when he’s going to send out Sesshoumaru. I’ve figured it all out and we’re going to follow the plan,” Inu Yasha scuffed.

“Are you willing to let family rule over another Land?” Kibito asked.

“If it means Kagome’s safe, then yes,” Inu-no announced. “Continue on Inu Yasha.”

“Anyway, after a month of freshening up the army, we’ll send them to the Western boarders. If Naraku asks, you’re just having them camp out at the boarders. One at a time, just to get them familiar with the land again, because you don’t know the last time they’ve done it. Then I’ll send in Sesshoumaru to go kill Naraku, but not before you send the stealthiest warriors you have to his castle, because I can guarantee that by the time he breaks through the front gate and attacks those soldiers, all of them will be out and after him. And don’t start the whole ‘He’s a demon, he doesn’t need help,’ crap, because we are sending help.

“At that time, Kagome will order her Miko warriors to attack anyone but her, Naraku and the invaders. When Naraku hears that he’s being attacked from the front, the sides, the back and the inside, he won’t know what hit him and Sesshoumaru can easily kill him,” he assented with a fist on the table.

Kagome jumped at the sound and quickly straightened herself. “I don’t want to wait two months. Make them all leave in about four days. Gather your army, train them from dawn ‘til dusk, if you have to, train them longer, for two weeks then send out the best and camp the rest on the boarder. I will be attacking from the inside in one month. Be ready. I will not wait for my death to come.”
“Kagome, then they’d suspect something. We can’t have that or else we’ll have a war on our hands.” Kibito tried to offer.

“But if you wait the time he’s talking about, I doubt you’ll have to save me. You probably won’t even have to save Yura. We’ll both be dead,” she pleaded.

“Kagome, I wish we could speed up the process, but at the time, things are already crazy. With a marriage, a new Lord, and Court, all in less than a day, if they lose and gain another Lord, one who was convicted not long ago, might I add, the other two Lords will declare war on one or the other. We can’t have that,” In-no-Tashio reached over and patted Kagome’s hand.

“I guess you’re right. I will be in the gardens if you need me.” With that, she stood up and quickly left the room.

“I wish we could do what she wants us to do. Lord Kouga would definitely support a savior mission, if only to be a brighter light in her eyes. Lord Hitten on the other hand, well, he’s never been one to care for the Lady. He would warn Naraku of his wives treachery and then it would be full blown war. We’ll stick to Inu Yasha’s plan. No word to Sesshoumaru of the army business. If he gets suspicious, we’ll tell him we’re making sure they aren’t rusty. It will be the truth. After all, they have to be in top shape for any battle they may see and so we can pick out the best,” Inu-no offered.

“And so it shall be,” Kibito agreed.

Sesshoumaru: She's already got up to chapter 10 typed up on the computer.

thehotty: But I'm styngy like that and am waiting for more reviews and ratings. All my favorite authors do it and I have to put up with it, so you'll have to too.

Inu Yasha: What's she's trying to say is that 4 chapters and only 5 reviews is shitty and she wants more, or else we don't come back.

Sango: Can she hold us randsome like that?

Miroku: She is author. She can do as she pleases.

Sango: Who in the hell gave her that kind of power?!?

thehotty: I did, because in this world, I am the almight Kami! I created this world and I can destroy it! MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!

Kagome: At least she's got the evil laugh down.

Inu Yasha: Is she's sure she's Kami and not the Devil?

Naraku: Fortanetly she's not. She's the kinder one.

Kaugra: You don't want to meet who she's given the title of Devil to.

Sesshoumaru: Her alter ego?

Naraku: O.o HOW THE HELL DID YOU KNOW?!?

Kagome: She's evil, and then she's mega evil. There's a big difference.

Kouga: Like that time she did that thing with the blender and my... *shudders*

thehotty: Oh, be quiet you big baby. That was nothing.

Inu Yasha: But that was his baby maker!

thehotty: *laughing really hard* Baby maker?!?

Kagome: Wowness! What an imature way to put it.

Sesshoumaru: While they fight over the word penis, I'll do the next time. Next time on For the Good of Things: Kagome's Miko's and a very stragetic way of killing demons.
