Power of Two Jewels

Kagome gapped. “You two know each other?” She asked incredulously her sapphire eyes as wide as dinner plates.

Amy nodded and Inuyasha did too. “Kagome, you remember I told you the story of the jewel of elements?” He asked taking a small step forward. She nodded as her response. “Well, this is Amy, or rather as she was known before her family was murdered, Amaryllis, of the hunters. The next in line to be the protectorate of the jewel of elements.” He introduced.

Amy no turned to face Kagome. “I was not aware that human’s knew of my and/or the jewel’s existence.” She said her eyes inquisitive.

“I wasn’t until nearly two weeks back as a matter of fact, and I was under the impression that the entire family was dead.” She said shooting her eyes at Inuyasha. “Or was that just another way for demon’s to keep their precious jewel safe?” Her hands fisting at her hips.

Inuyasha gave Kagome a surprised look. “No, even I thought that she was dead, the two of us had known each other when we were very young.” He said turning back to Amy. “What happened to you?” He asked sounding a bit hurt.

Amy looked a bit nervous as she twisted her hands together. “Well, I doubt you’d believe it if I told you.” She started looking between the two.

Kagome laughed out loud with true enjoyment, before sharing a look with Inuyasha. As one they spoke. “Yeah, I think I can believe it.”

She looked surprised before quickly falling into the story of how just before her fathers death, he’d willed the power into her and sent her to the future for protection. “But until now, I honestly never thought I’d see you again. You must be really old by now.” She commented eyeing him critically.

“Actually.” He started before Kagome jumped in.

“Actually.” She said cutting him a look. “He’s only about 130.” She said. At Amy’s confused looked and furrowed brows, she elaborated. “I was chasing my cat, sometime last year, out by the bone eaters well, and a large youkai by the name of Mistress Centipede pulled me through. I ended up in Sengoku Jedai.” She said looking down at her hands.

“Between her attacking me and my accidental awakening of Inuyasha whom had been pinned to the God tree 50 years earlier, Mistress Centipede had torn from my side the Shikon no Tama.” She said lifting the bottom of her tank top to display the rough pink skin in the shape of a star, she looked up.

Amy looked surprised. Her lips curling up into a smile. “Who would have ever thought, that the power of two jewels could be in the same room.” She said her smile genuine as she looked upon the miko.

“It is an honor to meet you then, Kagome.” She said dropping a sweet curtsy. “Can I see the Shikon?” She asked then her eyes full of hope.

Kagome laughed nervously. Her cheeks reddening. “About that. Not a few days after I arrived in Feudal Japan, a bird youkai snatched it from me, and as I was just learning how to shoot a bow and arrow.” She paused she grin guiltily.

Amy’s eyes had gone wide in knowledge of just where this was headed. “You lost the jewel?! But you should be able to sense it.” She said surprised beyond belief.

“No no, it’s nothing like that.” She said. “I shattered the jewel and I’m currently trying to get the pieces back together.” She admitted.

Amy looked surprised glancing between her child hood friend and the Miko of the Shikon, or rather, a part of the Shikon. “Well damn, hopefully you can get all of the pieces back before someone crazy gets a hold of them.” She shrugged scrunching her nose. Then she brightened. “Now I must ask. Can you still go into the past?” She inquired looking between the two.

Inuyasha laughed a true laugh, one which caused Kagome and Amy to look at him as if he were insane. Finally he spoke up. “You don’t have to worry about that.” He said
