Our Journey

Kagome returned home and ran to her mother.

"Momma! Momma!" Kagome yelled for her mother.

"Baby what's wrong?" she asked her.

"Some boy named Naraku stole my necklace that Grandpa gave me for my birthday. Now Inu Tashio said we could go on a journey to get it back from him." Kagome said.

Her mother looked at her for awhile before she blinked. "That's nice of him. When are you going on this journey dear?" she asked.

"Now actually or tomorrow morning. Inu Tashio said I could spend the night over there and we can have some time to plan out how we are going to do this." Kagome said all excited.

Her mother laughed at her. "Well what are you taking back with you? You'll need some food for the road, clothes, and some other things if you want." she said. She figured she better just go with it, since her daughter didn't look like she was giving this story up any time soon.

"Oh I want to take a cd player so I can show Inu and Sess it." Kagome said running into the house.

"When did you get a cd player? Your five for crying out loud." she said. *Dang you dad.. you spoil her way too much.* she thought to herself.

She went inside to get some snacks ready for the kids. She also packed some clothes for Kagome. She packed a sleeping bag and a little pillow as well.

When Kagome was ready to go she said goodbye to her mother and went skipping to the well.

I wonder what Kagome is doing at this moment..." Inuyasha said to himself mostly.

"No idea..." Sesshomaru said.

Inuyasha and Sesshomaru were laying down on the grass looking up at the clouds.

"I'm bored to death..." Inuyasha said.

"No your not." Sesshomaru remarked.

"Uh huh!" Inuyasha yelled.

"Nope.... dumbass if you were bored to death you wouldn't be talking right now... would you?" Sesshomaru asked as he looked over at Inuyasha.

Inuyasha looked at Sesshomaru and started laughing his ass off.

Sesshomaru raised a perfect eyebrow at his younger half-breed brother. "Creep." he whispered as he started walking back home.

"Hey Kagome!" Inuyasha yelled as he jumped up and down and waved to the little girl walking towards them with a huge pack on her back.

Sesshomaru turned around to watch her as well and he sighed.... but deep down he was happy. They were going on the journey today.

"Hey kitty!" Kagome said upon reaching them... huffing and puffing.

"I am not a kitty!" Inuyasha yelled at her as he started pouting.

"If you say so." she said as she looked over to Sesshomaru.

"Hi Sesshomaru-sama." Kagome said with a smile on her face.

"Hello Kagome." he replied.

"Well kids if you want to go on that journey you might want to start now. You still got a couple of hours of day light ahead of you at the moment. Have fun. Be careful though. Sesshomaru... don't kill your brother. Inuyasha ... stay out of trouble. Kagome.... protect yourself dear. Boys... help protect her as well.... and never forget that she is human.... meaning not as strong as you both are." Inu Tashio said as he jumped down beside them making them all jump, before they settled down again.

"Yes father." Sesshomaru said in a respectful tone.

"Uh huh." Inuyasha said.

"Hey! I can take care of myself you know... you big bully!" Kagome said in outrage at him.

Inu Tashio raised his eyebrows at her and smiled and gave a slight chuckle in her direction.

"Your too precious dear." he said too her in silent laughter at her rage.

With that Inu Tashio slowly walked away from them.

"Lets go!" Inuyasha said as he started heading into the direction of the next village.

"Mutt... you'll follow me!" Sesshomaru said as he started leading them.

Kagome held up the rear with her heavy pack on her back. Huffing and puffing the whole way....

"No I'm leading!" Inuyasha yelled.

"You have no right to lead." Sesshomaru yelled back.

Both fighting for who will lead them all.

"You don't even watch where your walking." Sesshomaru said as Inuyasha ran right into a tree.

"Owwww!" Inuyasha rubbed his head that bounced off of it and slowly walked next to Kagome for the time being.

Inu Tashio walked back home and gave his wife a hug. "I'm off to make sure they don't die or something... too bad." he said.

"Inu!" she said with surprise and rage.

"I was just kidding dear." Inu Tashio said as he started walking out.

"Take care of them dear.... don't let them get hurt. You know how they are." she said as he walked out of the castle and started following his sons and the Kagome girl.

He masked his presence and slowly followed them.. staying a little bit behind, but enough so he could still see and hear them.

He watched his youngest walk right into a tree while arguing with his oldest. He chuckled to himself. *He needs to learn to watch where he's going* he said to himself.
