Why Me?

Sango watched as tears started to fall from Kagome's eyes. Even before she started breathing again. She watched as Kagome took her first breath once again in this world.... of pain and death.

"Why....Why Sango?" I asked with my eyes clothes as I struggled to breath pass the pain in my body.

"What?" asked Sango confused.

I looked over to the demon that I figured was Lord Sesshomaru. I looked upon him with hatred as strong as I held for Naraku himself.

"You had no right, my Lord, to bring me back to this world." I said clenching my teeth together as pain sliced into my being.

"Kagome, he saved your life. You should be thankful to him." Sango said.

"Bullshit! I should tear his fucking eyes out and stab him with his own sword!" I yelled.

"Kagome!" Sango yelled at me.

"It's alright Sango." Lord Sesshomaru said looking at her with kindness in his eyes for her trying to do what was right.

He looked at me and I just wanted to hit his beautiful face. To try to mess up the perfections of it. I knew I couldn't.. I would be punished for it in the end.

"I understand that you are under great pain at the moment, so I wont hold it against you." He said to me.

"Forgive me... I spoke out of my place my Lord." I said as I tried to stand on my own.

"What are you doing Kagome? You just were brought back to life... You can't possibly wanting to stand and do things yet." said Sango as she tried to grab me.

"Don't!" I yelled as I tried to stand up fully.

I looked into Lord Sesshomaru's eyes as I stood up proudly on my own two legs. Then I watched as they filled up with surprise as I bowed down low to him.

It nearly brought me to my knees, but my pride wouldn't allow it. He had seen me hurt and dead, he wouldn't see me fall down in pain again.

Sesshomaru was surprised that the girl named Kagome stood and then bowed low to him. She knew she spoke out of her place and she was saying sorry.

*Her pride is getting the better of her though* he thought to himself.

I started to fall when I stood up, but to my own surprise the Lord Sesshomaru was there to catch me. I looked up into his eyes and was startled by the softness that was there. Such things I have never seen meant for myself.

"Thank you, my Lord." I said.

"Sango and I will help you wash and heal these wounds of yours." Lord Sesshomaru said.

Sango got up from where she was still sitting on the floor. "The wash room is this way my Lord." she said as she started leading Lord Sesshomaru with me in his arms.

I felt embarrassed that I was being carried like a little girl. I was also embarrassed that he would have to help wash me and see me like that. For some reason I didn't want him to see all the scars that were slightly hidden by the blood all over me.

Lord Sesshomaru came to the waters edge and waited for Sango get in fully clothed, then he handed me over to her in the water. He removed his shoes and then his armor and swords. Then he joined us in the hot water.

I hated how the water started to turn an nasty color around us from the dried blood. I felt Sango reach for the sponge off to the side and I could hear her starting to pour soap on it. I just stayed where I was staring at the Lord Sesshomaru. *Who is this guy? Why did he help me? What does he want?* I thought to myself. He stared right at me too. Meeting my eyes with his own gold ones.

I felt as Sango started washing me clean. Lord Sesshomaru held me to him as she grabbed my legs and washed them. I winced as she brushed over my abused sex.

"Sorry Kagome..." she said as she bit her lip and continued what she was doing.

She washed my belly and breasts I had to move my head back so that I was looking at Lord Sesshomaru slightly upside down but more to the side. He stared at the claw marks on my neck with anger. *Why is he angry?* I thought to myself. Sango washed my arms off and then...

"Ahhhhhhh!" I yelled as I jumped away from her and pretty much climbed into Lord Sesshomaru's arms. I didn't mind at the time as I was shaking and panting as the pain became tenfold.

"I'm sooooo sorry Kagome... I didn't realize that it was going to be like that..." Sango bit down on her lip again.

"What is it?" Lord Sesshomaru asked not knowing what happened except that Sango had started to wash Kagome's back.

"Her back... it's covered in wax over the cuts. It's dried now... so....." Sango stopped tears in her eyes.

"Your going to have to peal that off and then wash her back?" he asked looking down at the me in his arms.

"Yeah... but... it will hurt her almost as much as the original stuff did." Sango answered the lord.

"Do it." Lord Sesshomaru said without hesitating.

"Nooooo!" I yelled.

"It has to happen sooner or later and sooner is better than later. If it stays you run the risk of infection Kagome." he told me.

I closed my eyes and waited... once again.... seems like all I do is wait.

Sango bit her lip as tears came down her face. She pealed the wax off little by little off of my back. I stood in Lord Sesshomaru's embrace with my eyes closed and tears leaking out of them. I held still and endured the pain all over again.

When she was done Sango started to wash the cuts clean. It was hard to do, because they had reopened and the soap was stinging me. Then she finished and I gave a sigh of relief. It was finally over.. or so I thought.

"We need to medicate it and wrap them up." Lord Sesshomaru said and I flinched away from him, but he held on to me and looked in my now open eyes.

He carried me out of the water and stood me up. Sango came out and grabbed a cloth to dry my body off. When I was dried Lord Sesshomaru put me down on my belly and he grabbed the bottle of medicine and started applying it to my back as Sango started making a wrap to go around my whole back.

When all was done I just wanted to die all over again even more than before. The medicine made everything itch and burn. Everything just hurt all over.

Lord Sesshomaru picked me up in his arms and carried me back to my room. Once there Sango got new sheets and cleaned up the place as I just sat there in his arms looking into his eyes that seemed to never leave mine.

When she was done Lord Sesshomaru placed me into bed on my belly as to not put pressure on my back. He pulled the blankets up to keep me warm and then him and Sango left the room and I feel into deep sleep.

"Will she be alright?" Sango asked the Lord.

"I'm not a doctor Sango, but I believe she will be fine.... this time." he said.

Sango looked up at the lord when she noticed he was giving her a look. "What?" she asked a little upset.

"What exactly happens here?" Sesshomaru asked her.

"Naraku is what happens." with that Sango walked away to get some sleep before she had to wake up in a couple of hours.

*Damn you Naraku.... hurting someone like Kagome.....* he thought to himself as he too walked away to his rooms.
