DayDreams

A/N: Hey guys sorry it took so long to update been havin some diffuculty on the inspiration front. Suddenly it hit me so I wrote this chappie... things will not get too heated between Sesshoumaru and Kagome until later... but the daydreams will continue. Of course now there is a new beginning with the dreams. hmmmmm...... well ttyl!

Chapter 5
Traveling

As Sesshoumaru pulled her off of Ah-Un he couldn’t help but smell her arousal, as he looked at her it grew even stronger. He had to do something to keep his mind off of her. Pulling away swiftly he started to walk towards the nearby river that he could smell.

*What is wrong with Sesshoumaru?* Kagome thought to herself as she grabbed her pack and started to help everyone else set up camp.

She couldn’t help but remember how he had looked at her before abruptly putting her down on the ground. She blushed as she remembered where her mind had been most of the way there. *What if he knows I was daydreaming about him?*
‘Yea right, Although he might know you were turned on. I mean he could probably smell it!’
*Shut up no one was talking to you!*

Her blush deepened as she realized that it was true he could have smelt it. Maybe he would just wave it away as unimportant.

~~~~~~Meanwhile with Sesshoumaru~~~~~~~~

He couldn’t get her off of his mind. No matter how hard he tried, his little miko was always there. *Where did that come from, she is not my anything.*

‘But we want her to be. Both of us do, you can’t deny that fact.’

*You are right, but why a human? Why couldn’t she have been her?*

‘She left us a long time ago. While we both will never forget her, Kagome is here and she WON’T leave us!’

*I know. And I do love her, but why did she leave?*

‘You do know that this got tired out over 20 years ago right?’

Sesshoumaru silently washed his body in the cold water that lapped around his waist. The river was cool yes but it helped to center his thoughts as a vision came to his mind’s eye, a vision of a beauty from 20 years before.

She was an Inu-Youkai just like Sesshoumaru. She had long Black hair and a Blue Diamond on her forehead with Sapphire blue eyes. She had pink stripes going down each cheek. Her wrists bore a darker pink, more like a light purple, all the way around. She had been tall, normal for Inu-Youkai, but tall all the same. And when she smiled, it felt as though the sun itself had graced the person she had smiled at.

But she had left. Gone to someplace that he could never follow. She had disappeared, he had attempted for many years to locate her but she had just dropped off the face of the planet. Sesshoumaru scowled at the water. He had given up when he first saw the human miko. After that first meeting he knew she was meant to be his. She had spirit, and a fire that burned brightly from inside her soul. She was a force that was just waiting to be released onto an unsuspecting world. His idiotic Half-brother had made the wrong choice but Sesshoumaru wasn’t going to complain. He was going to get exactly what he wanted if her arousal earlier had been any indication.

He had noticed her looking at him during the trip and knew she was “daydreaming” about him. Whatever that meant. She hadn’t been asleep so how could she be dreaming?

His thoughts were interrupted when he smelled someone familiar coming down to the river. He hurriedly got out of the water and dressed before sitting beneath a tree.

Kagome was irritated with a certain hanyou she knew. He had actually ordered, yes ordered, her to get water from the river for the camp.

She knew he meant well but sometimes he could just be so pushy! *He frustrates me so much!*

‘You know that the real reason you didn’t want to come down here is because Fluffy-sama came this way earlier’

Kagome raised an eyebrow. *Fluffy-sama? Since when has he become Fluffy-sama?*

‘Since you thought about his tail being oh so very fluffy looking.’

Kagome blushed as she stepped out into the open and headed toward the river bank not noticing the youkai that leaned against a tree watching her every move. As she got closer to the water she became uneasy as she sensed someone watching her. Looking back toward the woods she spotted Sesshoumaru. Giving a small squeak of surprise she toppled backwards into the water.

Sesshoumaru sprang up from where he was and raced to the water and without thinking he jumped in and grabbed Kagome as she was swept under by the current. Coming back to the surface and getting out of the water he placed her gently on the soft grass that formed the river bank. Keeping a close watch on her face he sensed she was still breathing, sighing in relief he let his eyes study her. Taking in her beauty he couldn’t help but notice a small dot on her forehead and one on each of her cheeks. Thinking nothing of the colorings, he continued to look at her, his eyes sliding down her neck practically caressing her with his eyes. He moved his gaze lower and stopped on her wonderful looking breasts. Oh how he wished he could cup those perfect globes in his hands feeling the weight and licking and sucking on them. He groaned softly as he became aroused so he focused his gaze onto her left wrist. As was on her forehead and cheeks small dots were forming on her wrists.

Sesshoumaru waited beside Kagome until she woke. When he helped her sit up she looked at him and asked “What happened? One minute I was getting water for camp the next I saw you and I was falling.”

“This Sesshoumaru is sorry for startling you. You fell into the river, I believe you hit your head on a rock. Which would account for why you did not swim for the surface and why you were unconscious for so long.”

“I was unconscious? Wow Sesshoumaru you don’t have any reason to apologize I was lost in my own thoughts and didn’t realize you were there.”

Kagome started to shiver slightly as the wind gently blew over them. Sesshoumaru, noticing this, took his tail and gently wrapped it around her.

“Are you ok little miko?”

“I think I will be ok. But Inuyasha will probably get mad since I am not back yet… would you help me get the water?”

Sesshoumaru’s nod was so slight Kagome almost missed it. But she gathered the pitcher and bowls and walked back to the river with Sesshoumaru right behind her. When she turned to look at him and smile, she paused. She couldn’t help but wonder what it would feel like to kiss him again. And letting the kiss go farther than before. He walked up to her smiled and leaned forward. His lips brushed hers slightly before he pulled away once again. Frustrated Kagome was about to ask why when she heard Inuyasha yelling her name from the edge of the woods.

“KAGOME!!! Where are you?” Spying Kagome Inuyasha walked towards her and his brother. “What are you doing with this bastard? And what is taking so long to get the damn water?”

“Inuyasha why do you ask so many questions? I am with Sesshoumaru because he was already here for one and he is helping me get the water. You could help me too ya know.”

“Feh!” was all Inuyasha could say as he was suddenly picked up by the throat by his brother.

“You will refrain in the future from insulting This Sesshoumaru. And next time do not ask a woman to do a man’s job. You or the monk should be fetching the water. Not Kagome or Sango. Understand Half-Breed?”

“Sesshoumaru! Put him down please.”

Sesshoumaru looked at Kagome and nodded slowly. He released an enraged Inuyasha who then tried to attack Sesshoumaru.

“SIT!”

Inuyasha’s face hit the ground with a loud smack. Kagome stomped over to the river and filled a bowl with water. Walking back to the two demons she threw the water over them both.

“Cool down boys! This is not about your pride! Enough with the testosterone shows. I can’t take much more of it.” Kagome said through clenched teeth. She stalked back to the camp site with the pitcher of water she had scooped up on her way to the forest.

When Kagome got back to camp Sango and Shippo both knew that something had happened. Something that might have some importance down the road but for now they would wait and watch what transpired between Kagome and the two brothers. Suddenly the clearing resounded with a sharp slap and a yelled “HENTAI!” as Miroku had groped Sango once again… Miroku would never learn. A little while later both of the demons walked into the clearing carrying water. Kagome kept her back to them as she continued to cook. Sango noticed this and promised herself to ask Kagome about it later.

“Momma? Can I come sit with you please?”

“Of course Shippo. You know you don’t have to ask.”

“I know I was just practicing my manners.”

Shippo walked over and sat with his adopted mother. She was all he had now. He was worried about what had happened at the river she had come back so angry. And on top of all of those things something was different about her now. He couldn’t quite place it but something was off. Something was going on with his mother and he would find out what before those baka’s did anything bad to her. He studied her and noticed a tiny diamond on her forhead. It was so small that he couldn’t tell what color it was. And really thin lines were forming on her cheeks. Yes something was going on with his mother and he needed to find out soon.

Kagome felt warm. She was surrounded by a warmth that had nothing to do with the man holding her. She felt loved. He gently held her in his arms. His clawed hands ran through her hair. Gently worked at massaging her scalp. She tilted her head back and stared into his golden eyes. Suddenly a sharp pain ripped through her head and she looked around. She saw fire everywhere and she was desperetly trying to get to something that was inside the burning structure. She felt the need to get back. He had to know. He had to.

Kagome started awake as Inuyasha tapped her hand.

“Kagome, I am sorry for the way I acted. I know that you want to go to this party with Sesshoumaru. And I know that this means a lot to you. So I will stop trying to tell you that you can’t.”

“Thanks Inuyasha. That means a lot to me.”

Kagome turned away from the fire and walked toward her sleeping bag. She fell asleep instantly and didn’t wake up when the food was done. Kagome started to have a dream about a demoness...
