A days end.

a/n: Well I guess this fic isn’t good enough for reviews, but I still enjoy writing it. Hopefully I shall have more time to write soon. Enjoy!

“I’m surprise you are up and around already,” Sesshomaru stated as he threw InuYasha over his shoulder. Having just marked InuYasha’s left wrist, marking him forever as pack, he was on his way back to his castle to give InuYasha over to his personal healers.

“Well I would be a bear Youkai’s dinner now had not some crazy female from my past stepped in,” Taijina sighed, unable to tell a lie to Sesshomaru. Gazing at him, she never left her guard down, after all Sesshomaru could kill her without a moments notice.

“One of your Youkai friends from that cult of yours?” he questioned, as he shifted the unconscious InuYasha on his shoulder. Hoping to be rid forever of her cult, Sesshomaru was ready to lock her up in a room in his castle and never let her out again.

“No,” she snorted as she thought of her old cult. It was her past now, and nothing more. “They can rot in hell for all I care.”

“Indeed,” Sesshomaru replied, as a loud shriek was heard coming from the sight of the old well.

“Now what has that girl gotten herself into,” Taijina huffed as she ran toward the well. Sesshomaru followed her, curious to see what the screaming was about. The sight that greeted him, made him force to hold his laughter in. There where the old well had been was a human girl clawing at the earth, crying in hysteria.

“No! I was only gone for ten years! Ten fucking years!!!” she cried as she slashed at the earth over and over again. “How can it just be gone!?!?”

“The well was destroyed early morning, Ash,” Taijina sighed as she watched the girl, not knowing the connection between girl and well. “It can’t possible be that important to you.”

“My life might as well be over,” she cried as she rubbed her face into the dirt, leaving streaks of mud upon her face.

“But you’re immortal,” Taijina replied, as she felt embarrassed for Ash. What could Sesshomaru think of this girl? She thought to herself as she recognized his presence behind her.

“Don’t remind me,” Ash mumbled into the ground, then she quickly sat up. “It’s still here. The Magick. Still present. I can save it!”

“Are you mad?” she asked as she watch Ash open a pouch from her side and started putting black metallic stones in a circle. “Ash, what are you doing? Ash? Answer me!”

“The Magick,” Ash muttered as she completed the circle the encompassed the radius of the ruin well. Zoned out on the task at hand, Taijina was completely lost to Ash “It’s still here.”

“You’ve said that,” Taijina muttered as she backed away, feeling prickling sensations in the air. Looking towards Sesshomaru, Taijina felt his aura flare out at the intrusion of the strange sensation in the air. Feeling herself compelled to watch Ash in silence she saw her make a star with all five points touching the circle. Then she drew a triangle in the middle of the star.

“Magick within heal thyself,” Ash chanted as she knelt at the base of the circle. “Keeper of time. I command ye to heal. Arise from the depths of the ground. ARISE!”

“Ash?” Taijina crept closer to her as she went silent. A blinding red light came from her circle, Ash screamed as Taijina covered her eyes. Feeling herself being pulled away, Taijina held on to the thing that grabbed her. Holding her breath, she awaited for this unknown happing to be over.

Then the light faded, and Taijina stared up to the impassive face of Sesshomaru who had shielded her from the light. Letting out a small yelp she pulled herself away from him. Looking back to Ash she saw the girl curled on the ground of the former well. Quickly rushing to her Ash’s side, Taijina made sure the girl was still alive.

“Is she still alive?” Sesshomaru asked, as he approached them.

“Yes,” she said as she let out a breath she was holding.

“Take her to the village to the old Miko then,” Sesshomaru ordered, as he turned to leave placing a still knocked out InuYasha on his shoulder. “Also inform the slayer and monk that InuYasha will be at my castle…”

“You can’t take him from them,” Taijina cried, cutting the demon lord off, and receiving a cold stare. Had they not suffered enough today? “They have lost one friend already. Please don’t do this to them.”

“This Sesshomaru does not care what humans think or feel,” Sesshomaru informed her, his voice emotionless as always. Pack tradition would always be more important then human emotions, and he would not see his brother in anyone‘s care but his healers. “Do well to remember your place in this pack, I am Alpha. As pack we do not let others take care of our own, that is why InuYasha shall return with me. As for yourself, once you do your job I expect you to return to me. Am I clear?”

“Yes my lord,” Taijina sneered at his coldness, then a shock look came over her face. “Return? As I am still pack?”

“When have I told you, you were not pack,” Sesshomaru stated as he left without another word, leaving Taijina to stare at him as he left.

“I officially give up trying to understand anyone anymore,” Taijina sighed to herself as she threw Ash over her shoulder. Running back to the village her thoughts where on her return. The three advisors were sure to rise up against her return. Would it not have been easier for Sesshomaru just to expellee her from the pack? Looking up to the setting sun, she was glad for this day to end.
