Kagome had been truly amazed at how well Rin took the given information about the well. Hell if anything she seemed happier about it being sealed up. “Rin are you sure you fully understand me? You can never see your old home you’ll never be near Jaken or Sesshomaru again”

Rin sat in front of Kagome’s vanity, skillfully applying makeup. She had braided her hair so it hung down her back. “It’s probably the best thing that I could ever hope for Kagome. Sesshomaru never can hurt me again” Turning she gazed at the miko. “Besides Im sure he’s happy with that bitch Satara” Even as she said those words she was unable to hide the deep sadness that lingered in her eyes.

Smiling weakly Kagome nodded. She knew Rin was only lying to herself. Probably to try and make herself feel better over the whole situation at hand. “Well im going to the library maybe I can find something in the history books about the feudal era then just maybe I can find some way to get a message to Inuyasha.” Unlike Rin she wasn’t thrilled to be stuck in her own time. She wanted to be with her dearest friends and hanyou that had completely captured her heart.

Rin arched a brow. “Library?” would you mind if I joined you I’d like to see more of your time”

“Well” Kagome hesitated. “As long as you don’t try to kill anyone or drop your disguise I guess we’ll be okay”

Rin flipped her wrist making a phish sound. “Kagome I may be changed but im not willing to blow my cover besides I don’t want you to get hurt. You’ve done so much for me already”

Nodding Kagome grabbed her purse. “Well lets get this trip underway” Leaving her room with Rin in tow she slipped past the kitchen where her mother was baking. She put a finger to her lips making an shhing gesture. When they made it out the door Kagome breathed a sigh of relief. She wasn’t ready to try and explain to her mother why she was back to early or why she had a strange girl with her.

The trip to the library went better then Kagome could’ve hoped. She and Rin sat in the older section pooling over the dusty volumes page by page. She had found a great deal on the well, the villages even about the demons that supposedly ruled the lands. She was not finding a single thing on the well being sealed or it ever having magical powers. Even information on the Shikon Tama was absent along with anything about Miko’s protecting the sacred jewel.

Dropping her head on the desk with a thump she sighed. “I give up this is impossible. The people who wrote this thought demons were all fake!”

“Not quite” A whispery voice stirred through the library. “You sssee my dear, the demonssss didn’t want humansss to know about them” A man stepped out slowly; his eyes were a strange eerie green. “Sssoo demonsss wrote there own hissstory booksss” Pointing a strangely thing digit towards another hall that seemed to just appeared. “Your friend isss already back there” He then turned slowly moving towards the shelves of books.

Kagome almost jumped out of her seat, not only had she not realized the man was there but the section he had pointed to never existed before. Hesitating she wanted to thank the man when she realized he was a yoaki in disguise. “Wait you’re a demon!”

Stopping the man turned his eyes becoming slitted diamond pupils. “Sssmart Miko” He chuckled. “Now you have your ressssourcessss find what you need while you have time Kagome” Turning before any more questions could be asked he did vanish this time in the dark library passages.

She opened and closed her mouth. Shocked and bewildered by how the strange yoaki knew her name. Not stressing herself over it quickly she moved into the new part of the library. It seemed to ripple around her. When everything came into focus it was like she had been thrown back into the feudal era in a castle’s library. “Wow this is a trip”

Rin looked up blinking curiously over to Kagome; she had a scroll opened in front of her. “I’d say so but it’s what we needed take a look at this.” Turning the scroll she tapped a paragraph that looked like it was inked in blood.

Walking over Kagome leaned over reading out loud by force of habit. “He will never know that I sealed the well. That pathetic fool these servants that watch me like hawks never know I write this personal diary”

Looking up she met Rin’s eyes. “Well this is interesting,” she murmured before dropping her gaze to continue the read. “He had a yoaki strip me of my powers for shame how the well is forever dead!”

Folding her arms Rin leaned back, watching Kagome her eyes slitted. “Read who did it Kagome”

Leaning over she skimmed the words, just going on about how she’d get revenge nothing would stop her. Signed at the bottom was Satara’s name in looping scrawl. “Why doesn’t that surprise me in the least” Pushing the scroll back to Rin she leaned back. “I don’t understand how any of this tells us anything”

Rin rose checking through the other dusty scrolls. “It tells me that psycho bitch that tried to kill me sealed the well for reason I just don’t know why or if the spell can even be broken” Turning back to Kagome she gazed at her friend. “This library is part of Sesshomaru’s castle but everything is covered in dust and untouched. The snake yoaki wanted us to find something here for a reason I just don’t know how we got here” Rin hearing voices looked over towards the wall. She watched as humans walked past in the regular library. Apparently she could see the humans but they didn’t even know they existed.

Kagome wasn’t paying a bit of attention to Rin she had found something new. Tears pooled in the corners of her eyes. A death certificate for Miroko, Sango, and one un-named child cause of death was Yoaki attack. The certificate wasn’t dated but apparently in the feudal era her two friends did not live to see any grandchildren. And apparently their child did not live long enough to even be given a proper name. “Oh Sango…Miroko… why I wasn’t even there for your wedding” Now a single tear slipped down her cheek leaving a wet trail.

Rin turned, smelling Kagome’s sadness. “What’s wrong” She crossed the room, eyes moving to scan the scroll. “Oh Kagome” Gently she hugged the Miko. “I am terribly sorry”

Shrugging Rin’s hug off she threw the scroll onto the floor. “Not your fault. Lets find what we need and get out of here”

Rin felt bad knowing Kagome was upset. She left her to sit while she went back to the hunt. She found one that had Sesshomaru’s personal seal on it. Breaking it she opened it. Sesshomaru’s handwriting leaped out to greet her. She had hit pay dirt! “Found what we need Kagome lets go back to your house. I don’t think you need to be here any longer”

A weak smile was given to Rin’s thoughtful ness appreciating she cared about her feelings. “Yeah” She stood following Rin through the strange wall. When the two ended up on the other side the wall they came through appeared to be normal once again. Kagome reached back touching the surface. Nothing happened whatever Rin had apparently taken was meant to be found.

And this chapter winds to a shuddering close..as my muse hits a brick wall...what did Rin find?…will it help her or hurt her more? And what about Satara’s journal and the snake yoaki that stole Satara’s power’s is alive and helping out. Will everything start coming together..will Rin find love and happiness or when she does will it kill her?…who knows…continue to read and enjoy!
