Chapter 5

I'M BAAAAAAAAACK!!!!!!!!

You’ve read the disclaimer, I don’t own them. I do however own this plot. DO NOT STEAL THIS PLOT!!! THAT’S CALLED PLAGERISM PEOPLE!!! HAVE A NICE DAY! : )

P.S. Just so you know, these characters are OOC, (that means Out Of Character) and does NOT take place in the Feudal Era. So, if you don’t like that sort of thing, then why have you read my story thus far? : )

***********************************************

Sesshoumaru pulled Kagome to him in a tight embrace.

“If you want your last gift I have for you, then you will wear this.” He held up the blindfold.

Kagome lifted her gorgeous blue orbs to meet with his amber ones and sighed.

“Alright, but I’m not going to be happy about it.”

“I figured you wouldn’t be. Now, turn around so I can put this on.”

She did as he asked.

He reached around and grabbed the other strand of the satin mask, then hesitated.

“Kags?”

“Yea?”

“You trust me, don’t you?”

She sank back against his warm muscular body and smiled although he couldn’t see it.

“Of course I do Sesshy. I just don’t like being blindfolded.”

The low vibration of laughter came from the chest of the man behind her.

“Just wait. It will only take a few moments. Now, please be still so I can tie this on.”

When Sesshoumaru was finished tying the blindfold into a knot in the back, it looked as if she were wearing a pair of stylish sunglasses. Sort of.

“Okay, so now what?” She felt his warmth leave her back. “Sesshy? Wait. Don’t move, I can’t tell where you are. Where did you go?” She almost thought she felt another presence in the room, but disregarded it thinking it was just because she was blindfolded.

Silence was her only answer.

“Dammit, Sesshoumaru where are you?” She reached out with her hands as if she could feel around for him. Nothing. The next sound she heard was frightening. She froze in place and almost reached up to take off her mask, remembering that she promised Sesshoumaru that she trusted him. Off to her right she could barely hear what sounded like two men arguing. She took in a deep breath and shuffled as best she could while reaching for something solid, not letting that singular breath out until she bumped into the couch.

As she stood there with her hands on the spine of the sofa, the arguing voices became louder and louder, sounding like they were getting closer. Instinct told her to hide behind the sofa she was gripping. Then the harsh voices stopped for a brief moment before she heard the sickening thud of a body hitting a wall very very hard. Heart pounding in her ears, she hoped it was just her imagination and her slightly heightened hearing due to the blindfold.

************************************************

Instead of being in the room with Kagome as they were playing a game, he was jerked into a hallway by his little brother.

“Just what in the hell do you think you are doing pup? I am currently occupied, according to all the door signs around here. Can whatever this is not wait until the morning?”

“No, it can’t.” Inuyasha paced back and forth, running his hands through his hair.

“Then what is it? I don’t want to keep Kagome waiting for me.” He started to walk back towards the door.

“It’s about Kagome you idiot. Have you told her we’re demons yet?” Sesshoumaru stopped and turned around.

“Keep your voice down, and no. I haven’t told her yet. I don’t want to freak her out.”

“Keh, then you obviously haven’t read any of the books she’s written.” Inuyasha leaned against the nearest wall crossing his arms. “Doesn’t seem anything will freak her out as you say.” He looked pointedly at Sesshoumaru. “I can smell her all over you. What have you been doing?”

“None of your damned business that’s what.”

Inuyasha came off the wall and started to walk back towards his older sibling. “You need to tell her what’s going on brother.” He poked Sesshoumaru in the chest. “Because if you don’t. I will.”

Sesshoumaru gripped his little brother’s arm tightly and snarled. “You stay away from her half breed.”

“You leave my mother out of this you bastard!” Inuyasha ripped his arm out of Sesshoumaru’s grip, effectively tearing his shirt. He clawed at Sesshoumaru’s chest before jumping away.

“Don’t embarrass yourself little one. Just back off and go home. Leave us be.” Sesshoumaru turned towards the door once again about to go back in when Inuyasha grabbed his collar, hauling him backwards before placing himself in front of his brother.

Sesshoumaru almost dropped his jaw. Instead he became overwhelmingly pissed.

“Embarrass myself? You have no idea how powerful I’ve become in the past couple of years brother.” He opened his clenched fist to reveal small droplets of stinging poison seeping from his claws.

Both brothers growled before lunging at each other, both swiping here and there vying for a threatening strike. As Sesshoumaru was going for Inuyasha’s throat, Inuyasha dropped into a lower swinging kick to Sesshoumaru’s legs, sweeping him down onto his back. He then sat on his chest and gripped Sesshoumaru’s throat, letting some of his poison drip onto his neck. Sesshoumaru gripped his brother’s arm and snarled, “Half breed.”

Inuyasha’s eyes were tinged with red as he replied “Bastard” before picking up and throwing Sesshoumaru into the nearest wall.

************************************************

What seemed like forever, Kagome finally took the blindfold off, but not wanting to call for Sesshoumaru just yet. As she gathered her strength to finally get up and look for her friend, a pair of shiny black shoes appeared before her eyes. Looking up from there to the legs that were attached, they seemed a little shorter than before. As she continued up further, she could see a similar shirt to the one that Sess had on, yet it was torn in places. When she got to the face, she could see why the legs didn’t match. For it was the face of his brother Inuyasha, and what a smoldering look it had on it.

“I-Inuyasha? What are doing here? I thought you had flown overseas.”

‘Why in the world was her heart pounding so hard?’

A guttural growl came from his throat before he barked, “What in the hell are you doing here with him?”

“Who? Your brother? He invited my family and me here since our air conditioning had gone out at our house. Not that it’s any of your business.”

Dammit, her whole body seemed to be heating up every second. She needed a glass of water quick, and she would go get one from the bar except Inuyasha was blocking her way.

He growled again before taking a step towards her, reaching for her hand.

“Dear Kami, do you know how good you smell?” His nostrils flared as he asked.

If Kagome were someone else, she would have recoiled at his actions, but growing up with him and his brother, she was used to their sometimes weirdness. She took a step back, keeping out of his reach. Was the air conditioning going out in this place as well, or was she getting sick? She really needed that water quick, and where the hell was Sesshoumaru? Then it struck her.

She kept her voice as steady as possible.

“Inuyasha? Where is Sess? I thought I heard two men arguing earlier. Was it the two of you? Did you hurt him? Why were you fighting? You guys almost never fight.”

He continued to come forward, a hungry desirous look in his eye. The closer he came to her, the hotter she was getting, and it started to disturb her.

“Will you stop walking towards me and sit the fuck down?! I don’t know why, but you are making me uneasy and I need a drink of water!”

Inuyasha jerked like he had been slapped and stopped moving. He had never heard Kagome curse before. He almost laughed it was so absurd. He let his head sag down as she regained her movement and went to the bar to get her well needed drink. His luscious silvery hair swung with the action, and he gripped his fists tightly together, unwilling to let his anger get the better of him.

“So I take it he hasn’t told you then?” He asked calmly.

Kagome was already behind the bar and downed her glass before replying. “Told me what?”

“Keh, I knew he wouldn’t. If he truly loved you like he said, then he wouldn’t be playing games with you. Damn him. At least I would have told you.”

Inuyasha thought he made his words inaudible, but she heard them clear as day. Was it from wearing that blindfold for so long? Her mind was swirling with confusion. Just as she opened her mouth to ask him what he was talking about, a door flew off its hinges into the room.

“I do love her you foolish pup. She means everything to me. Besides, we’ve already mated, what makes you think she’s going to want you? You had your chance with her years ago. It didn’t work, mostly because you cheated on her.”

“Keh, you may have mated, but you’ve yet to mark her. I can fix that. I’ll mark her before you lay a hand on her again brother.” He made to move towards his opponent.

‘What in the hell are these two talking about? I know there are some weird things about them but wait. Mated? I thought we had hot passionate sex in my bathroom. Marking, what the hell, am I in the Twilight Zone or what? And no way in hell is Inuyasha going to lay a finger on me. I need some more water. Why am I so freakin hot? I feel like I can’t breathe with these two in the room. Damned testosterone.’

Standing in the doorway was Sesshoumaru, his shirt nearly as torn as his brother’s. His fists were clenched at his sides, his hair swirling in a nonexistent wind, and a blue aura seemed to envelop him.

The two brothers stood facing each other growling, forgetting about the other occupant in the room. Until she fainted. Kagome’s mind was whirling with so much new information that was unfinished, unanswered and just plain confusing. With the increased heat that seemed to hit her when Sesshoumaru burst into the room, it just began to be too much. She wasn’t one for fainting, but faint she did.

Inuyasha was there before she hit the floor. Sesshoumaru roared at Inuyasha touching what he thought to be his, but stood his ground. He didn’t want to risk her getting hurt by either of them.

Inuyasha glanced up at his older brother as he lifted his precious cargo, scooping her up into his arms.

“Before the night is out brother, she will belong to me.”

A weakened Kagome whispered “I belong to no one,” before slipping off into unconsciousness.

A quiet “Keh” came from Inuyasha’s lips, and a roaring “No!” exited Sesshoumaru’s as his little brother took a running leap off the balcony with Kagome in his arms. Sesshoumaru ran to the edge of the balcony, unwilling to risk his revealing to humans below that he was very much the dog demon of their stories.

He walked back to the table where he and Kagome had previously had dinner not twenty minutes ago and picked up the box from the jewelry store. He sat down and opened the box, slipping out its contents. In his hand lay a small sterling silver dog charm. He thought it would have been perfect for when he told Kagome that he and Inuyasha were demons. Not just any demons though, demon lords. Well, at least he was. Inuyasha still had much to learn. Damn the full moon. Why did it have to be tonight?

************************************************

So, ya’ll probably thought I wasn’t ever coming back to finish my stories. Well, if it hadn’t been for the hell I’d been in over the past year or so, it would have already been finished. You have no idea how many times I have written and rewritten just this chapter alone. I really hope this one doesn’t go over ten. I’m still struggling with R&T. If you are also a fan of R&T, please don’t be upset, but I really and truly do have three chapters ready to be typed up, it’s just that they’re over in storage somewhere buried under things that I can’t get to.

So, not what you thought was going to be in the box eh? Where is Inuyasha taking Kagome? Why isn’t Sesshoumaru going after his brother? This story has taken a complete 180 from where it was going originally because I was going to end it with this chapter or the next one. But since I know how much you like this story, I decided to spice it up.

The place where I am does not have internet and I don’t always have access to the computer that has my stories on it. (No, I am not in jail…c’mon people! *L*) I apologize deeply for my absence. I wish I could do this more often than I had been. I love my readers! Oh, and sorry if this seemed short!

Don’t forget to review!

~Much Love~
