I'm really really sory about the long wait. I was quite busy please excuse any spelling mistakes and stuff cuz i felt bad about the long wiat and attempted to edit myself. sorry blackhowling. well nothing to interesting in this chapter but alots in store for the next one so be patient with me okay? okay!!

“Um Rin don’t think I’m crazy okay.” I said with a sweat drop ‘I am going to look like I’m talking to myself after all

“why would Rin think ______ is crazy?” said Rin tilting her head in confusion

“well actually, I’m going to be talking to Midoriko and you can’t hear her so…it might look like I’m talking to myself” I explained

“oh” she said with her eyes brighten in recognition

“so um, was there a specific reason for my coming here?” I asked

“of course, but first things first please tell Antonique that I request her presence on your journey to your fathers tomb.” said Midoriko

“Aren’t you going kind of backward there?” I asked

“a Journey? Well this can not be good what will Sesshomaru say?” I mumbled to myself as an after thought

“yes, of course but you will have to find Antonique first. So it is first o the list of things to do.” She retorted

“List?” I inquired with a raised eyebrow

“Wouldn’t you know it? I got myself a bloody list.” I said sarcastically

“______ this is very important especially since your demon power has been released. Already I can feel the conflict between both sides, both wishing to overpower the other. It’s dangerous and it can kill you. Not only that but you’ll have to worry about other demons realize your true power. What you are is virtually unheard of; a demon and a priestess together? That’s why your existence was kept a secret, that’s why you were protected, that’s why I’m still here…” she said with seriousness

“Okay, okay” I said with a defensive wave

“so, go on with the list. It’s not like I have a choice, is it?” I retorted with a sigh

“I hate traveling alone” I said as an after thought

“you won’t be you’ll be traveling with Antonique.” She retorted

“yeah but I gotta find her. And she said some crap about training that brute Inu-Yasha. So I doubt that Sesshomaru will be up to going hunting for the demi-god that insulted him, and his brother that he really doesn’t seem to like.” I said with a sigh to follow

She laughed.

“ah yes that certainly sound like Antonique as blunt as ever it seems” she said with laughter in her voice

“So, on with my list of things to do.” I said with a sigh

“You might want to sit for this it’s kind of a long story.” she said with a sigh.
“Why does that sound familiar?” I said plopping my self down on a rock and blowing a strand of hair out of my face.

“hm, where to start?” she pondered out loud

“Here I’ll show you” she said

Flashback

Lord Yuiken was a tall demon with orange eyes tinted with blue and __color hair___ and my, was he handsome. He walked tall and proud. He was thought to be fearless above all, and his strength was rarely matched.

They were both in the bedroom of the castle of Yuiken and they were discussing the war that still waged right outside there window. Yuiken is looking out the window and Midoriko is sitting on the bed. plopped up by pillow. The room was a soft cream color with a hard wood floor. The soft drapes on the window and the canopy over the bed softly swished back and forth in the soft breeze that entered the room through the window. They where an royal blue color that highlighted some of the art work in the room. Mainly the portrait of Lord Yuiken and Midoriko.

“Midoriko, the power of this child shall be too great her power may even exceed our own. That is why they come. They come to destroy her” said Yuiken with a sigh as he looked at his solders fighting out just beyond the castle gates.

“I won’t let them! They will never succeed!” replied Midoriko wildly as she grasped her abdomen

“I feel the battle with her waging now her demon blood seeking to kill the miko blood and the miko blood trying to purify the demon blood. She’ll die before long if we don’t find a way to keep the powers at bay” said Yuiken

“You’re right but what time to we have to think about such matters when we are at war” said Midoriko

“I have had a sword forged using my fang and your blood. I don’t know if it will be any good but it might help the 2 powers to unify eventually.” Said Yuiken glancing over his shoulder to look at Midoriko.

“when did you find the time…”

They heard a knock at the door.

“Lord Yuiken the south resistance has arrived!!!!” declared the solider now out of breath and frantic

“I must go now we will continue our discussion later right now you should rest.” said Yuiken gently as he turned around to look at Midoriko.

He walked over to her and touched her hand that was on her abdomen in thought.

“If this battle last ten thousand years it shall be worth it”. He said as if hearing her thoughts.

“but…” started Midoriko right before she was silenced with a kiss

“Never doubt that.” He said gruffly looking her in the eye with passion unwavering.

“You always know what to say don’t you?” said Midoriko with a smile

“Not always but mostly” he said with a smirk before leaving the room

‘A sword to unify the 2 powers all for you little one, my love.’ she thought as she rubbed her belly
End flashback

“So that’s what we have to look for this sword that with make the 2 powers unify?” I asked when I stoped seeing the images

“Yes but then you must reclaim the kingdom of your father to do so you must master the sword of sight” said Midoriko

“sword of sight?” I asked
‘how can a sword see’ I thought

“the sword has the ability to show it’s user glimpse of the past present and future. It also has a very powerful attack with combines the 2 powers. If the attack is used enough it may eventually unify the 2 powers.” Said midoriko

“Yesterday life seemed so much less complicated.” I said out loud with a sigh

“Naraku must be defeated before he completes the shikon no tama.” She said as an after thought

“great more stuff to add to the list” I said frustrated

“No actually he now hold the kingdom of your father. I have great expectations from you; but because you have been human most of your life I doubt that you’ll be able to do this alone so that is why you must find Antonique. You must find the sword of sight, you have to train and you must reclaim the kingdom of Yuiken before it’s too late” said Midoriko

“Why me? Wasn’t it enough that I was almost scarified then almost killed by a swarm of demon then found out that my entire life that I was living was a lie about 6 times over now I gotta fight the psycho Naruku and reclaim a kingdom all in a convent little time frame how lovely” I said dryly

“It’s your destiny. I know I ask a lot but it is what you were born to do and it is the only way for my soul to rest in peace” she said softly and almost as if she understood my burden.

“Well I can’t promise success but I can promise to try my best” I said a bit more upbeat

‘if you have to do something then just do it and be done with it the more time you take to ponder if and or but the more difficult you make the task become’ I thought as I remembered my fake sister had one told me from one of my previous lives

“Well Rin and I should be leaving now” I said looking down at her sleeping

“Bye _____ the sparkles of heaven truly gave me a gift when I received you. I am proud.” She said

“Bye… mother.” I said it did feel kind of odd but it felt right at the same time calling her mother.


“Come on Rin” I said gently it seemed as though she had fallen asleep during the conversation.

“okay I’ll just carry you” I whispered to her putting my arm under her knees and the other cradling her neck


Now we were off again to meet Sesshomaru this time I suppose that I’d try using my demon senses. I sniffed trying to get his scent. Oh gods migraine to many smells just to many. I was dizzy okay then perhaps not. I’ll just go bsck the way I came.


In about 5 hours I was at the spot where I was to meet Sesshomaru lucky me that’s when I remembered he wouldn’t be there for 2 days. I sweat dropped then thought of a way to pass the time.

Hey I could always start early and go look for Antonique now. Yup that’s right she shouldn’t be that far. After all she is training the brute and would probably like to hear what Midoriko had said.

That left only 2 problems finding her and getting back on time!!

“okay Rin we’ve got our selves a mission!” I declared

It took me about 3 hours to get used to filtering the different smells. Till I finally when with the smell that was close to Seshomaru’s I figured it had to Inu-Yasha’s they were brothers after all.

The scent was a bit old but it was all I had to work with. One thing lead to another and I was jumping on trees. Damn what’s up with the guy must he jump. Well it was kind of fun the feeling you get when soaring in between trees.

Maybe I’m just grumpy cause I’m hungry; but Rin’s still asleep she usually prepares the food for me. Guess I’ll take a little break and find us some food.
20 minutes later, I arrived at a small creek filled with fish. I laid Rin down by a tree and went fishing. I caught about 12 fish and trust me I was hungry enough to eat um all.

I started a fire and put the fishes on sticks to roast. It started to smell so good that I think I was drooling.

“______” said Rin a bit groggily

“Oh you’re up that’s great now you can help me eat all the fish I caught” I said boastfully. As a human I really did suck at catching fish but as a half demon I was a total pro.

Rin laughed a bit in her groggy state before getting up and yawning while stretching out her stiff limbs.

“Where are we?” asked Rin with another one of her adorable yawns

“Oh yeah about that we’re on a mission to find Antonique and get back to the meeting place on time. Think we’ll make it?” I asked

“yeah ______ is so much faster that Anita” she said causing me to laugh

The sun had set a few hours ago but I wasn’t tired at all in fact after eating I felt so refreshed I could run for days on end.

We ate and made some light conversation about how Jaken would be saying stuff like good riddance and baka humans. Then to the things that Midoriko had told me to do.

I was ready to continue and I gave Rin a piggy back the rest of the way. We traveled at a quick but moderate rate. Rin slept most of the way, but that was expected. She was good company none the less. We traveled right until sun up. The sun rise was truly a site to behold. So I woke up Rin to share it with her.

“look Rin. It’s moments like this that make you feel like as though life is a great treasure; as though nothing can go wrong, it also shows you how small you really are, and how to be humble. I love to watch the rising and the setting of the sun. It makes me fell at peace.” I said

“yeah, Rin thinks that the sunrise is pretty and _____ is pretty too” said Rin which caused me to blush a bit

“well were off again no time to stop if we gotta make it back in time” I said while crouching down for her to climb on my back

“here” I said after while jumping into an apple tree to retrieve some apples

“we’ll have to eat on the run too” I said cheerfully

About an hour later I heard the voice of Inu-Yasha. I’d recognize that sinister voice anywhere!

“stupid wench what the idea sneaking up on people like that!!!” said a rather irritated Inu-Yasha

“You should always be prepared. I told you that I planned to attack when you least expect it, so you should always be prepared.” said Antonique

“Yes Inu-Yasha, how do expect to defeat Naruku in your state?” said Reiyu with a bit of laughter

It was a funny site to see after all. Inuyasha was drenched with cold water you could tell by the way he was shivering.

“yeah but you didn’t have to poor water on me” he said gruffly while grumbling a it more about how wrong it was to poor water on people when they were thinking.

“hey!” I shouted out to them before coming to a complete stop
“what are you doing here ain’t you supposed to be with sesshomaru somewhere?” Asked Inu-Yasha

“Seeing as how your level of maturity has decreased since the last time I saw you, I’ll just ignore that statement and talk to the person that I came to see.” I stated giving him a glare

“oh _______; cool you’re here so what’s up?” said Antonique

“um well I… I went to see Midoriko yesterday” I said not knowing how to say it since some people where being nosey.(Inu-Yasha)

“And what happened?” she inquired truly interested in what I had to say

“Well I spoke to her…”

“oh my goodness you did? What’d she say? How is she? Does she remember me? Blah, blah, blah,” she started going on and on till I was no longer able to keep up

“sister?” said Reiyu

“Oh um sorry got a little excited there” she said with a huge cheese smile and scratching the back of her head.

Both I and Inu-yasha sported a huge sweat drop.

“Okay then” I mumbled to myself

I then proceeded to explain the situation to her and Reiyu.
We then decided that Reiyu would be left in charge of training Inu-Yasha for the time being.

The others in Inu-Yasha’s little group had spit up.

“Inu-Yasha if you don’t mind my asking so you some time have trouble with your sides” I asked just wondering if regular half demons had the kind of problem I do.

“yeah I guess that’s why I got Tessiaga here though” he said honestly while pulling out Tessiaga for me to behold.

It was at that time that I noticed how attractive he was. Sure he did look like his brother but I was to busy hating his guts to realize that he too had some good looks.
“What are you staring at?” he said with a blush and putting Tessiaga back in it’s rightful place

“um nothing… sorry just thinking that’s all sorry” I said while quickly adverting my eyes to the floor. That was close.

“feh” he replied before sitting back down

“______ Rin is hungry. Rin is going to find some food does _____ want anything.” said Rin

Just in the nick of time. Thank goodness it was starting to get uncomfortable.

“Nah how about we just go together we have to leave soon anyways right” I said getting up from the little circle around the fire.

“okay” said Rin just before grabbing my hand and leading me to the near by river and vegetation.

Inu-Yasha: *shakes head* you really have issues you know that
Lopers: yup sirie bob
Inu-Yasha: *blank stare* I don’ t know why you people like her really I don’t
Lopers: *shock*
Sesshomaru: review sexy you know you want to *killer sexy smirk*
Inu-Yasha: damn perv hitting on the reader! Plus she wants me doesn’t she!
Lopers:*shock*
Sesshomaru: you really are delusional. Why would she want a half a demon when she could have the whole thing
