Chapter 5
Sesshoumaru stood in the doorway, watching InuYasha cover Kagome with a blanket. She was sleeping quiet soundly now. InuYasha turned away, and walked towards the door. Sesshoumaru slipped his arm around his waist and they quietly moved from the room.
InuYasha sat on the couch when they got to the living room. Tonight had been all about closure for all three involved. They had learned a lot about things between Kagome and Hojo. Things seemed more complicated than they were.
“I think she wants him to be me, and the fact that he’s not hurts her. She wants him to love her the way I did, he can’t. He’s not me.” InuYasha started quietly. “She didn’t see that before, but I also think some could be him. I don’t know what to think about the whole situation.”
“Sometimes the best thing to do is just let go.” Sesshoumaru sat down next to InuYasha and pulled him close. “I know it’s hard.”
“I let go. About a month ago, I had suspicions. I caught Hojo leaving one night, but I didn’t ever say anything. Then when I came home one night, there was a note on the door, I barely read it when Brooke snatched it out of my hand. She offered me her spare bedroom till Friday. I slept okay Monday night, but the other nights, her baby was sick and screamed all the time.”
“You could have come here, I wouldn’t have minded. I know I told you I didn’t want to be bothered after midnight, but that I would have understood. I know I’ve been moody for a few months now, but I have also been helping Kichiro get that new game out. That was the meeting I had Saturday. It got canceled, but I still got mad at you.”
“Sesshoumaru, the last time that I took you was three months ago...you’ve been hell to deal with since then.”
“You can’t be serious..I haven’t noticed any changes.”
InuYasha smiled, but decided to drop the subject. He leaned in and placed a soft kiss on Sesshoumaru’s lips. Sesshoumaru deepened the kiss, laying back. InuYasha took the hint, leaning closer. He opened Sesshoumaru’s robe, grinning at how quickly his body responded.
In a blur of desire and love, InuYasha found himself preparing Sesshoumaru. It was rare that he got to do this, but he was wasn’t about to pass the chance. Not even to go to their room.
He gently eased himself into Sesshoumaru’s opening, kissing him gently. Sesshoumaru purred softly, arching his hips to bring his lover deeper inside. He loved the feral way InuYasha made love. Though always tender at the start, he always allowed himself to be lost in desire, then become quite the lover.
InuYasha quickened his pace almost immediately. He aimed for a small nub, and hit it with all the force he could muster. He never worried about harming his lover, from the beginning, Sesshoumaru seemed to like it rough. InuYasha hooked one arm behind Sesshoumaru’s left knee and pushed it upwards. This allowed him to go deeper, savoring the feel of his lover’s body readily accepting him. Sesshoumaru let a soft moan escape.
“Don’t be quiet on her behalf, love.” InuYasha brushed a few strands of hair back. “Just let it take you.”
“Mmmmm, I don’t care who hears. I just don’t want to go hoarse.”
InuYasha sighed, but eased his pace. He was so close to climax, and he wanted to give his lover the attention he deserved. There was only one time that both would early releases, but he didn’t want to say anything. There was only one other time, InuYasha didn’t want to think about that now.
He felt Sesshoumaru’s release hit him in the belly, and he couldn’t hang on. He made a desperate attempt to prolong it, but at that instant, the only thing he could do was release.
They lay in each other’s arms for several moments. InuYasha was the first to move, helping Sesshoumaru to his feet. Silently they walked to the bathroom. InuYasha reached into the shower stall and turned the water on. Together, they showered, not speaking. Finally, Sesshoumaru put his arms around InuYasha. His voice was soft when he spoke.
“Do you think it’s still possible?”
“It can’t be any thing else.”
Sesshoumaru turned off the water, and stepped out. Pulling a towel off the rack, he dried himself, then turned to his lover. He dried him off, gently. The whole room screamed in the silence.
They walked into the bedroom and crawled into bed. Holding each other close, sleep fell quickly.
** The next afternoon **
Kagome held out two boxes. Sesshoumaru cocked an eyebrow, but didn’t speak. InuYasha glared at her. She rolled her eyes.
“Look, I know about this. Just take the test.”
Sesshoumaru yanked the boxes from her hands then stalked into the bathroom. A few moments later could be heard yelling.
“HOW IN THE FUCK DO I USE THIS DAMN THING!?!”
Kagome winced, but InuYasha moved to assist Sesshoumaru. They could be heard talking quietly. Kagome turned her attention to a small black and white kitten sleeping on the floor. A few moments later, InuYasha came out, his features laced with worry.
Inside the bathroom, Sesshoumaru stared at the two tests. He was secretly hoping that these tests would be negative. The last time he took one, it was better than twenty years ago, and the results were not to his liking. This time though, they both took tests. A beeping sound came from the clock on the vanity and he chanced a look down.
“INUYASHA!!! WHAT DOES TWO LINES MEAN?”
