A Night Out
Chapter Four
"Come on, I'm ready to PARTYYYYYY!"
"We're only going to a movie Tar," Kagome's slipped on her black boots to go with her black jeans and blue sweater. She had her hair hanging free, one side pinned up with a clip.
"I know, lets go already." Taree slipped on her white sandals that matched her skirt. Her top consisted of a white dress shirt thrown over a pale purple tanktop. She had her hair pulled into two pigtails high on each side.
"I still say we go see the new action movie." Mai was wearing blue jeans, red sweater and sneakers. She had Tar french braid her long tresses prefering it out the way. Sunday was there one day off, so they tried to go out when possible. They usually just went on walks but they felt like seeing a movie.
"NOoooo, I want a scary movie. So I can hug all over Kagome when I get scared."
"No way, go get a date to hug on." Kagome looked at her reflection one more time. Her thoughts went back to Inuyasha, would he recognize her now? She'd changed quite a bit in the last two years. Her face had matured along with her body.
"Earth to Kagome, come on. I want some popcorn, can't watch a movie without corn." Tar pounced her.
"I'm coming already. I swear you need a man."
"Like you have room to talk, I hear you in here at night moaning."
"You liar!" Kagome grabbed her cash and walked out the room.
They took the bus to the movie theater, located near the local shopping center. It was a nice evening, cool enough without the need for a jacket. The three girls got in line to buy tickets.
"Scary, scary, I wanna see scary." Tar pouted. "Please please, I'll love you forever."
"Fine, but no jumping on me."
"Yippie!" She jumped up and down clapping her hands.
"Someone forgot the tranquilizers in the van again." A voice spoke from behind them. They turned to see the three males from the park walking up to stand in line. The tall boy with short black hair was speaking. It was definitely three of the guys from the park last week.
"Ignore them," Mai said. She stared back ahead waiting for the line to disappear.
Kagome sent a smile to Taree, who winked in return. "Isn't that the red head you said was hot Mai?"
"I think you are right K. That's definitely the one she was drooling over all week. Not that I blame her, he is kind of cute."
Mai felt her cheeks go red, she was going to kill them. Tar she could understand, the girl didn't know what embarassment was. But Kagome! Three could play this game. "Yeah, I think it is. Has to be, he's with the same short guy you said you wanted to bone."
No she didn't! Kagome moaned at the horror, when she heard someone chuckle behind them.
"She didn't say that Mai," Taree held up her finger. "I specifically remember hearing her say she wanted to jump him NOT bone him."
"Yeah, you might be right. What about you?"
"Hmmm," Tar turned around to see them staring at their backs. "The tall dark haired one is kind of hot. I don't mind left overs."
Kagome felt eyes burning holes in her back. Somehow she knew if she turned around they'd belong to a red eyed youkai. So she kept her eyes forward hoping they would decide to ignore her two friends. The line continued to move forward and she gave a sigh of relief went they had their tickets.
She ran to the bathroom while Tar and Mai got their snacks. Her cheeks were flushed as she looked at herself in the mirror. Just knowing that strange youkai was behind her did weird things to her stomach. What was her problem? She'd been around many youkai, he was no different.
Joining the two, Kagome accepted her drink Mai offered. They walked into the dark room and found some seats in the last row. Much to her horror, the three took seats in front of them. She was sure the red head sat them there on purpose. Asshole! She should kick the back of his seat the whole time. Or place her feet the back of his chair. She suddenly wished she had toejam, then she could place her feet in between that small crack for the red head and small youkai to smell.
