True Intentions of the Wicked...
Kana, the White Witch, stood before her master, silver mirror in hand. Reflected within the polished glass were the forms of Inuyasha and Kagome, both engaged in a deep kiss within Kaede’s Hut. “Hmmm… An interesting occurrence indeed.” Naraku thought aloud, staring into the young girl’s mirror.
The evil half-demon frowned, “Fine. This just makes it all the easier to tear Inuyasha limb from limb and steal away that girl he’s with.” He thought, a sick, twisted grin replacing the earlier scowl. He changed moods quickly, one of the reasons his servants sought to avoid him whenever possible.
A demoness stepped from the hallway, pushing aside the reed door to the room. She was wearing only a thin, deep blue Yukata. A pattern of Blue Koi, matching the color and accenting her hips danced across the surface. Her violet eyes glared with a fiery passion at Naraku, “You would think to steal another woman…?” she asked indignantly, watching the man’s face for signs of sincerity. She found none and her glare merely intensified. “You may be my wife but that doesn’t mean I am bound to you.” Naraku stated slickly and the demoness’s eyes went wide. “Bastard.” She hissed before stepping from the room again and storming down the hall.
Naraku waved his hand, dismissing the White Witch from his presence. She turned on her heel and exited through the reed door. On the other side she was met by the Wind Sorceress, “Master Naraku is having Marital issues…” her voice held as little emotion as her eyes as she continued down the wood hall, her feet leaving so sound as she disappeared around a corner.

The wound on Kagome’s throat was healing up nicely, and with the help of Kagome’s herbs would most likely only leave a small scar. Her neck bent more now without much pain, and Inuyasha was actually allowing her to walk some distance without being at her heel like a lost puppy.
Everyone had been surprised when the demoness didn’t come back soon after the battle in order to finish what she had started. After all, Kagome was hated by many demons, both because she was a Miko and because she was the reincarnation of Kikyo.
The group had nearly forgotten about the fact that Inuyasha had nearly raped Kagome, mainly because they were both together now and happier than ever. Perhaps that incident was all it took to bring them to their senses. Especially since it made Inuyasha’s desire for the young Miko very apparent. They had filled in Miroku and Kaede but figured it was best to leave Shippo in the dark, considering his young age.
Now, they had began their journey again and were walking down a pounded down dirt path. Towards the front of the group Inuyasha and Kagome walked, with Shippo close at their heels, and close behind were Miroku and Sango. Kagome was humming a gentle tune, staring off the path towards the sky and the birds that existed in the time, her hand held gently in Inuyasha’s.
They were heading towards a small mountain range, following a rumor of an evil Miasma emanating from its core. As they got closer and closer to the looming stone peaks the stronger twinge Kagome would get from a Shard, but whenever they followed it, it would suddenly disappear, leaving Inuyasha cursing and sputtering.
The foothills were in site now, and they would soon be crossing over hilly terrain. Kagome’s chocolate brown eyes stared out to the open plains to the west. In the sky sat the sun, a deep orange color, setting behind the horizon. It would be dark soon. “Inuyasha, I think it’s time for us to rest for the night. It’s almost dark and I don’t want to be traveling over the hills at night.” She reasoned, looking into his eyes as he turned to face her.
His golden eyes looked over her before focusing on the cut across her throat. “Fine.” Kagome grinned at his agreement. ‘If there’s one good thing about being hurt it’s getting my way….’ Kagome giggled internally at her own thoughts. Ever since they had begun the trip Inuyasha had been more lenient with her than ever before.
They hurriedly found a clearing near the path and close enough to a stream to be suitable. Kagome unpacked her bag, humming a different tune as she went. She quickly flicked her wrists to unroll a couple of sleeping back for her and her friends, and she heard Inuyasha wander off to collect fire wood for them.
Kana sat in a tree, not far from where they had set up camp, watching them in her reflective glass mirror. Her scent wasn’t detectable thanks to the way she was created. She was “Nothing”. Emotionless and without malice. She did only as she was ordered and would carry out her order until the Death of whatever tiny bit of soul she contained within her frail body.

Naraku watched the group through Kana’s eyes, knowing full well that if he were to go there himself they would detect him. That was not something he wanted. Not yet. Despite him owning almost the entire completed Shikon Jewel, his power was only so much against the Half-demon and that annoying Miko wench who clung to him. He would have her and Kikyo’s soul would come along.
Tikovru sneered from outside the reed door. She could tell what he wanted. He wanted that pathetic Miko girl and for more than just her ability to see shards. He wanted her body, ‘Because she looks like Kikyo.’ The Demoness grimaced. Her eyes narrowed. Two could play at that Game. He may of married her, but god damn it, she wasn’t just going to stand their while he took another. No way in Hell! He would help Kagome and Inuyasha, just to spite the sick bastard in the room…

Kagome sighed as she ate the Hot Ramen noodles. Her throat was sore from the heat and she really didn’t feel like finishing her meal at the moment. She took another sip of the cold water in an attempt to sooth the ache she felt along her neck. She needed to eat, and she knew it, but couldn’t she at least eat something cold…?
She set down the cup of noodles and received a warning glare from Inuyasha, “Keep eating. You won’t get better if you don’t eat.” He had become far too over protective. “Inuyasha, I don’t want to eat anything else. My throat hurts and I’m not hungry, so leave me alone.” She stated calmly, making no move to pick up the cup of Ramen near her. Inuyasha gave her a quick worried look before returning to his food.
Tikovru appeared near Kana, allowing the younger demon to cover her scent with her “Aura of Nothingness” Naraku’s wife looked at the younger Demon, “Go back to Naraku, Kana.” She commanded and almost instantly the younger girl disappeared, leaving Tikovru’s scent into the open.
Inuyasha’s nose twitched. “She’s back finally.” He stated calmly, setting down his dinner. Despite his tone, his eyes burned with rage at the person who hurt his Kagome. He quickly wrapped his arm protectively over the young Miko’s shoulders and looked around the surrounding area.
Hearing the announcement of her arrival Tikovru stepped lightly from the shadows of the trees, once again wearing her armor, “You not draw your sword, Inuyasha. I am not here to fight you, but to help you keep the young Miko from Naraku’s grasp…” she spoke calmly, her violet eyes glowing in the moonlight.
