Hidden Alliances

Kshatriya couldn't belive it. Here he was, sitting at the same table as his half-brother and his sworn rival, AND they were talking about POLITICS!! 'Well, my worlds gone to hell and froze over.' He thought, turning back to the conversation.
"... The matters of Naraku and the Shikon Jewel. I belive you have two shards?" inquiered Shessomaru
" Yes I do. How do you think I run so fast? That I have wings?" laughed Kouga. Shessomaru didn't laugh, but you could see a hint of amusement in his eyes.
" I see," Shessomaru said " And do you intend to gather the jewel shards for yourself?"
" No," replied Kouga " I have no use for them. I just want to revenge my comrades."
" Ahhh... yes, the comrades you always speak of. Tell me, why is revenging them so important?"
Kshatirya leaned forward a little, though Kouga only wanted revenge for his friends, he never said who his friends were, so he was curious. Kouga stiffened, " I have no wish to ruin this meeting with trival talk. Let us get back to the subject of Naraku."
" Yes," agreed Shessomaru " So do you wish to make a pact? I'll halp you if you serve me, but only until Naraku is defeated." Kouga opened his mouth, but withier he was going to agree or not, we'll never know cause Kshatriya cut in " But that is slightly unfair! How long, even with combined forces, would it take to destroy Naraku? He is made from many different demons combined into one. He can live through one demon and rebuild agian. So technically Kouga and the others would serve you for years." Kshatriya objected.
Shessomaru and Kougastared at him, Shessomaru calculating and Kouga disbeliving. "How did you know that? Only Inuyasha, his group and I know that!" Kouga said
Kshatriya thought fast. " I was a friend to Inuyasha and we'd meet to talk. He told me many things, and I loved him like a brother, but we haven't been on the best of terms lately. So we got into a fight and I lost, Inuyasha took of somewhere's and then you found me." 'Please fall for it. Please fall for it.'ran through his head like a mantra.
Shessomaru looked at him closely until he nodded "What is your name ?" he asked " Kshatriya." he replied
Shessomaru rose an eyebrow "Warrior?"he asked. " Yes," said Kshatriya "It does mean warrior."
" DO you have a famliy?" Shessomaru inquiered Kshatriya looked to the side "No. I don't. Now if you'll excuse me, i'll leave you to your meeting." Kshatriya jumped and walked/ran to the entrance.
" Interesting boy." commented Shessomaru
" Yes," agreed Kouga following Kshatriya with his eyes "very interesting."

*****ONTOPOFBIGBOULDER*****
Kshatriya stood looking at the night sky. How could he forget them that easily? They were probably worried sick about him. When Sheesomaru asked about his family he remembered. 'I wonder what thier doing right now. Sango, Miroku, Shippo, Kirara, Kagome. How could I ever forget about you?' he thought. However the tought of leaving never crossed his mind.
" Hey! Hey!" called a voice from bellow "Can I come up too?" Looking down, Kshatriya saw the human Shessomaru traveled with. He leaped down and said, "Sure. My name's Kshatriya. What's yours?"
"My name is Rin, Kshatriya-chan!" she squealed
"Rin-chan," he smiled " I'm a boy, but please call me what you like." he told Rin, picking her up and jumping back onto the boulder. Kshatriya sat down with Rin still in his arms.
"Kshatriya-chan?" asked Rin
"Yes?"
"What makes the stars shine? Shessomaru doesn't tell me stories, and Jakens mean."
Kshatriya smiled, " I'll tell you what my mother told me. Once upon a time there was a heaven and a hell. Heaven had the light of the moon while hell had it's own burning sins to see by. One day, however, the devil was jelous. Why should heaven get the moon? So he sent his demons to destroy it. When they did, it was all in vain, for god created another moon and hung it high in the sky. Then he sent his angels to gather the pieces of the old moon and told them to hang them also in the sky. That's how the stars were formed."
"Sounds pretty." said Rin yawning
Laying back, They stared at the stars and moon till they fell asleep.
