Chapter Five
A/N: Hey guys here's the long awaited chapter. Sorry for the wait. Finals were a real pain, ughhh, and the studying. Anyways. Please read and review. I'm not updating again until I have ten reviews. My birthday's tomorrow so I don't mind not getting started on another chapter. Hope you enjoy the chapter. Don't forget to read and review. Bye. EK!
Disclaimer: I don't own InuYasha or any of the other characters in this fanfic.

"No." InuYasha gave a kiss to his mate and then turned back to his duties with a slight scowl that made him look like a scolded puppy. "Fine." Then the girls went off to view the ship and watch sunset on the ocean. Just as they were about to relax a ship came into sight. It was the Deadly Sea.
Chapter Five
Sesshomaru was able to see Rin. They were getting awfully close to InuYasha's ship. Rin was on deck with Kagome. His brothers mate was still the beautiful perky girl he'd come across several years prior. His brother was also obviously due to have his pups born soon. Two little boys if he smelled Kagome's scents mixed correctly. He didn't know Kagome that well, she came after his brother and he stopped speaking. He didn't intend to start war with InuYasha...yet. If he refused to return the girl to him that's when he would challenge the half breed. He wasn't worth the trouble otherwise.
Nearing the ship enough to be in shouting distance he mustered as much calm as possible to say, "InuYasha return the girl. This is your only warning." Giving a feral glare InuYasha had two members of his crew seize the girl and hall her off to the other side of the ship. InuYasha drew his sword and pointed it ominously at Sesshomaru, in a silent challenge. Sesshomaru drew his sword in recognition to the challenge and accepting it.
Sesshomaru, almost faster than the eye could see, did a flip onto the opposite deck. All crew members cleared the area and made bets on who would win. Sesshomaru threw a meaningful glance from Rimiko to Rin. He understood and quickly crossed the gap betwixt the two ships and took a place near Rin and her two captors.
The two pirates began to circle each other. It was interesting to see the two, who at one time were really close, ready to slit the others throat. InuYasha always the brass one made the first attack. Sesshomaru, of course, took the defense. InuYasha struck high and Sesshomaru caught it. Moving to the offensive he swung the blade at his middle and Inu got a slight slice right under his left rib. InuYasha's eyes tinged a light red, almost hot pink. He battled more fiercely swinging at every available appendage and when he caught a particularly sharp blow in the abdomen he turned. The sight was that to be feared by all. His hair already mid-back length, stretched to his waist. His fangs grew a considerable bit and then his eyes became a horrific crimson red. Those eyes could give any lesser demon nightmares and even send shivers down powerful demons spines.
Kagome stood by in distress wringing the handkerchief in her hand to crinkles. InuYasha hadn't gotten this bad in a long time. He'd become so much more tame since his mating to Kagome. He'd been rash and spontaneously dangerous when she'd first come to know him. He'd reached a level of calm upon meeting her. This wasn't good for the baby. Rin, sensing the woman’s state, placed a restricted, but all the same, comforting hand on the soon-to-be mother's shoulder. Kagome visibly relaxed.
InuYasha went to stab the youkai, but at the exact moment the sword would have dug into the inuyoukai's flesh, Sesshomaru dodged and with the blunt end of his sword hit his younger brother in the back of his head, successfully knocking him into a daze. Miroku the ships first mate caught the stupefied captain in a locking hold. Sesshomaru threw a glance to Rimiko and he and a few, of the now on board, crewmembers pulled the two scoundrels holding Rin away and stunning them with hits to the back of the head. The crews both readied to go at it when Kagome's voice broke through, "ENOUGH! ANYONE OF YOU TOUCHES ANYONE I WILL KILL YOU AND NOT ONLY THAT IF YOU TRY TO RETURN THE FAVOR, YOU WILL HAVE A FATE WORSE THAN DEATH!" Kagome was on the verge of tears. She was very anger and very emotional.
Both crew paused, Sesshomaru's because he held up a hand to cease movement. He respected the woman in front of him, enough anyway to keep peace and treat her as an almost equal. InuYasha's crew stayed in place for similar reasons. They knew she could and would destroy anyone who disobeys her and the fact that if they hurt her InuYasha wouldn't hesitate to decapitate all of them. She had quite the pull.
Rin fidgeted as she stood still in the arms of Rimiko. Sesshomaru moved toward her and Kagome allowed him to. "Kagome, I'll leave my disgrace of a half brother as he is and your crew alone, but don't pursue us otherwise he won't be so lucky." Sesshomaru's civil tone seemed to change a little as he added, "And make sure to keep the pups in line. We don't need two more delinquents like the half breed running around." Kagome gave a divine smile and nodded touching her hand to her stomach. "Now men back to the ship." Sesshomaru grabbed Rin and in the blink of an eye was on the Deadly Sea. Rin didn't fuss, instincts kicked in and were practically screaming she had something to do that only Sesshomaru could help her accomplish. What Kagome told her came rushing back. Maybe what she was going to have to do was only going to be done here. She wasn't sure, but she was bond to find out.
***********Hours later with Kagome***********
Kagome was nursing InuYasha's light concussion. He had yelled so much after he'd fully regained his barrings. Kagome had silenced him by hitting him in the back of the head. He'd been nagging and complaining ever since he and Kagome had gotten into his cabin. She ran another wet rag over the back of his head were a welt had began to form from where Sesshomaru had hit him.
"KAGOME! How could you let him take her?" InuYasha was grumbling and shouting out in a disagreeable manner. She pressed the cloth harder to the back of his head silencing him and finished cleaning up the wound.
"InuYasha. He's your brother and for Pete sakes we don't need the money from her father." InuYasha gave an indignant huff.
"He's my half brother and the money is not the point." the extra emphasis on half made Kagome sigh.
"Then what the hell is the problem. InuYasha you have told be many things about yourself, but this is ONE area that we have not touched on and I am tired of trying to coax it out of you. Tell me, or don't bring up your brother again." Kagome gave a very fierce glare that bellowed danger.
Giving a sigh he began. "Two years ago I was leader of the Deadly Sea. My first in command was Sesshomaru. I trusted him with my life and more importantly, at the time, my mate. Kikyo..." Inuyasha whispered her name with an almost wistful manner. "The ship, which my father intrusted to me in his will, was under attack. Our enemy, Naraku, was trying the overthrow us. I was squaring off with Naraku and couldn't protect Kikyo, so I relinquished her to Sesshomaru. There was a secret hidding place in my cabin, under a gray rectangular rug. She was too hid in there and he was to guard her. Sometime during the battle I heard an unearthly cry. Kikyo was being held by Naraku's first mate, Onigumo, who looked at me and then without a moments delay, slit Kikyo's throat. I didn't breathe for a moment and then a blade was jabbed through my side. Everything went black and then I awoke in my cabin. The second my strength recovered a fight ensued. I left the Deadly Sea and to this day I will never return to it as its captain. The cursed ship took my mate, but it won't take me." InuYasha finished with his head bowed. A moment of silence ensued and the tears in Kagome's eyes fell. She loved her mate and felt his sorrow and even though Kikyo was InuYasha's former mate and lover, she couldn't help, but be touched by his pain. Deciding it was best to leave him to his thoughts; Kagome left her spot in the cabin and made her way to the kitchen.
InuYasha sat in a stupor. His mind replayed the event, which still haunt his nightmares. The day Kikyo died a part of him was vanquished, replaced by a hallow blind rage. He still wasn't the same, he never will be, but he made a silent promise that would mend the tear in his heart. 'I will avenge Kikyo, even to my last breath.'
A/N: I'm really proud of this chapter and sorry it took so long to post, but finals were really beating me down. My friend Emily helped me relax enough to finish off the chapter. So I give thanks to her and hope everyone liked it. Until next time.....Egyptian Kiss!
