Secret lovers

Quick Jump: Episode 135

-Yay! There’s a hot spring here!
Kagome and Shippo squealed with happiness, both eager to jump in after the hard day. They had a huge misunderstanding that day with Miroku’s master, Mushin, and spent the whole day cleaning and doing chores. Inuyasha, Shippo and Miroku both walked away to set up camp. Sango followed Kagome and Shippo, checking if Miroku actually went to set up camp. She took her slayer suit off, and took her travel kimono out to dry. She dipped into the warm water, enjoying feeling. She used Kagome’s soap and shampoo that she brought, and closing her eyes, relaxed for the first time in two days.
After a few minutes, Kagome said the water was getting too hot, and walked out with Shippo.

-I think I’ll stay a little longer.
Sango said.

-I’ll join up with you later, okay?

-Ok.
Kagome replied, and went to Inuyasha and Miroku. Sango looked up into the darkening sky, thinking.
‘And now that I’m alone, away from Inuyasha, I feel so relaxed... Every time I get even a little close to him, I feel so... I don’t know.... I feel uncomfortable, but it feels so good at the same time... I’ve never felt anything like it... And today at that mountain... I don’t remember too clearly... But I remember that I tried to kiss him... Before Kagome stopped me...’
She sighed; that’s why she rarely ever touched alcohol. She was extremely sensitive, and she always did things that she wanted to without thinking about it.
‘Did I really want to be close with Inuyasha? Did I really want to kiss him...?


Kagome started to prepare the instant ramen, and called to Inuyasha.

-Inuyasha, can you go get Sango? She should be out of the hot spring by now...

-I’ll go!
Miroku volunteered, but Inuyasha smacked him.

-Ow! Hey! What was that for?!

-Keh! Who knows what you might to her when you’re alone with her? I’ll go.
He walked off, leaving Miroku sighing with frustration, and started to help Kagome instead. Inuyasha walked to the hot spring, to see Sango, dressed in her regular Kimono, folding her slayer suit and putting it away into her pack.

Sango gathered up her things, slung her pack around her back along with the hiraikotsu, turned around, and walked right into someone, knocking both of them down. She gasped when she saw that it was Inuyasha. Their faces were just inches apart, and her heart was suddenly pounding because of the intimacy with him. The sky was completely dark now, and the only light was the moon that shone brightly, making Inuyasha look as if he was glowing.

-Uh..... Sango......
Inuyasha was surprised, and was wondering why she wasn’t getting off. He was wondering all day why she had tried to kiss him earlier that day. He looked at her face for a while, for the first time noticing her beauty. He always had thought that Sango was a fairly pretty girl, but he never thought of her as a woman; only as a friend. The closeness to her made his demonic blood boil. Her sweet scent flowed through his nostrils, and he thought that he’d go mad.
‘Damn it, doesn’t she know what she’s doing to me?! Why’s she just staring at me? Why isn’t she getting off?’
Inuyasha thought.

Sango continued to look into Inuyasha’s golden amber eyes, unable to move. All she had to do was tilt her head slightly, and their faces would touch. Her movements were very slow; she slid the hiraikotsu off of her back, falling with a dull ‘clunk’ to the ground and ever so slowly brought her face even closer to Inuyasha’s than it already was. It was as if she was in a trance, and she couldn’t stop herself. She lowered her head further until their lips finally met. She closed her eyes, very slowly deepening the kiss.

Inuyasha’s eyes widened at Sango’s action, but his body didn’t object in any way. His eyes closed themselves, and pressed against her face as well, as his arms made their way around her waist. He felt her arms go around his neck, and her shy tongue gently licking his lips. He granted her passage, opening up for her, and answered with his own tongue, licking hers gently.

Sango let out a soft, happy moan when he brushed his tongue up against hers, feeling like there was electricity flowing through her veins. After what seemed like hours, they broke the kiss due to lack of air, and both took a plunge back into reality. Sango caught her breath, and shot up, blushing like mad, and quickly got off of him, picking up her things quickly. Inuyasha stood up as well, and asked,

-Sango.... W-why did you...

-I-I’m so sorry Inuyasha!I-I...Just got so caught up in the moment that...
Sango didn’t know what else to say, so she ran quickly away from him. She ran as fast as she could back to the campsite, and when she arrived, she was gasping for air.
-Sango! What took you? Your noodles got cold.... Hey, where’s Inuyasha? I thought he went to get you...
Kagome said.

-I-I....
Sango panted.

-Why are you so red? Did you get overheating in the hot spring??
Miroku asked, confused.

-Uhhhh... Yeah! I think so... A-and I think I’ll pass on dinner tonight... I... Want to lie down.....
She went over to her sleeping bag, which was already laid out, and dropping all her things beside her, she collapsed into it, turning and putting her back to them. Miroku, Shippo and Kagome were seriously confused, but they both shrugged, cleaning up.
Inuyasha returned a while later, and Kagome asked,

-What happened? I thought you went to get her!

-I...Um... Did, but I guess I missed her.... I’ll be going to sleep now....
He said, never meeting Kagome’s eyes as he jumped up into a high tree branch. He was hesitant to look over to where Sango was, but finally did. Their eyes met, and they both turned away quickly. They looked in opposite directions, unable to look at each other.
‘I can’t believe what I’ve just done.....’
Sango thought, mentally beating herself up.

‘She... Actually kissed me... Why did she kiss me?
Inuyasha wondered.
‘I understood why she might have tried in the mountain; to make Miroku jealous... But why now...?’
He looked back down at Sango again, and sighed, looking up at the full moon. He ran a finger over his lips, remembering hers against it. He really did enjoy it; he felt as if his heart had temporarily started pumping electricity when she licked at his lips. He slowly fell asleep, still thinking of Sango.
