War and Betrayal
It had been a month since the duel with Sesshoumaru and Tikya stood pacing in her room deep in thought, only in her night robe of white silk and her night gown underneath that was cut short for comfortable movements in sleep. Nakari sat on a chair in the corner of the room by the bed watching her Lady with concern.
"Milady is everything alright?" she asked sitting on the edge of her seat.
Tikya looked up and stopped pacing for a moment.
"Nakari I need you to fetch Lord Inutaisho for Me." the blue eyed dog demon said pulling her robe off.
"Are you sure Lady Tikya?" she asked now standing her face gave away all her worry.
"No, I'll just write him a note..." she finally said, "Fetch my battle gear..."
"Yes Milady." The blue haired fox went into a tall closet and pulled back the drapes that hid the uniform and armor along with a magnificent sword.
Tikya's back was to Nakari now and she was naked. She tied her hair in a high ponytail that was almost on the top of her head. Lifting her arms Nakari began to dress her.
Finally fully dressed Tikya stood wearing a black males uniform with green trim and yin-yang’s on it, black gloves where her fingers poked out so she could use her poison claws, a bridal over her nose and mouth in case of poison, Samurai like helmet where her hair poked out of a hole, her Katana at her side and with it sat a true demonic looking sword. Carved on the handle were demon faces of dogs and clouds and in the blade was an ancient inscription. On her chest was demon armor of black a strip of green across the breast, wrist armor with the same strip and shin guards with her personal insignia on it. A crescent moon upside down with a sword over it and bat wings on the handle of the sword. At her waist was a bright green sash with a chain hanging from it with the same insignia hanging from the chain. In her ears was the same thing. She looked at her servant and Nakari backed away. Tikya's eyes had bled bright green like her sash instead of red. The fox also noted her scent changed, it wasn't Tikya anymore but something else...
A smash woke Sesshoumaru from his light sleep and caused him to rush to Tikya's room where Nakari was slouched up against the wall next to the door looking at the broken window. Sniffing the air he could smell Tikya and someone else. Running to the window he caught a glimpse of the person leaving the grounds before entering the forest to the northwest.
"Lord Sesshoumaru?" Kari asked sliding back up the wall to stand. In her hand she held a note. "I was supposed to deliver this to your father first but you arrived first." She walked over to him handing him the note and backed away.
To her surprise he handed it back and left the room trailing his voice.
"Give it to my father, I'm going after her."
Nakari left quickly for the eastern wing to wake the Lord and Lady.
Walking right into view of the whole Palace the warrior narrowed her eyes as people began to panic along the walls. She took her time holding her demonic sword in hand. Her glowing green eyes seemed to trail a cloud for a moment before she removed her other sword and faded from sight. The gates exploded causing the demon guards to fly in the air before crashing to the dirt ground and rolling a bit. Along the walls above her guards lined up with bows and arrows ready to fire and they did. The arrows bounced off an invisible barrier around her every arrow causing a green spark of energy. Many of the arrows flew right back at their shooters killing them.
The doors to the palace splintered and the black warrior walked in through the splintered wood and cloud of dust. Servants were running everywhere but she was not interested in them. More guards stood in her way throwing bottles of poison that went into gas when they shattered but because of her bridal she walked right through it and swung her sword once causing it to glow the color of her eyes. The glow continued out at the guards when she lowered her weapon. The glow vanished just after passing their necks. Walking past the still demons in uniforms she grinned behind the bridal as she heard the heads hit the ground and roll. Making her way up the stairs to the second floor of the palace she was stopped by a couple of guards side by side with spears. The long whip formed and she brought it back and around snapping the tip on the spears just under the head of the metal shattering the wood, the spear head dropping off then she swung it again wrapping it around their neck and pulled hard. The guards flew over her head one by one tumbling down the stairs in a clang of metal and cries of pain. Tired of the annoyances she walked faster pushing open every door checking the rooms moving towards the throne room. Pushing the doors open there Hikori was, sitting on his throne with guards in front of him and at his side. She stood there her eyes on the war lord only, while she drew her demonic sword once more the guards all running at her with their battle cries...
Taking the head off the last guards she stood with her back to the War Lord who was now cowering in his seat, she stayed silent. Turning her profile to him the warrior pushes some of her stray green hair from her face that had made its way to the front of the helmet and removed the helmet. Letting it fall to the ground she moved her head into full view while her body stayed in profile.
"Fight me and die with honor or die shamefully you old dog." she said lowering her bridal to show her face.
The War Lord stood from his throne and drew his sword.
"You bitch, how dare you..." he snapped angrily but was cut off.
"Shut it old man." she hissed her green eyes fading back to blue and her green hair back to blue as well. Her scent turned back to normal but Hikori didn't need to smell it to know that the warrior that stood before him was his own daughter.
"You'll regret betraying me pup." he said moving down the steps to the main floor to face her. "I'll take your head and mount it in the court yard bitch."
"Come and claim it if you can Father. This is our war, our heads shall be the prize..." she told him venom in her voice as her eyes bled green again.
Hikori jumped at Tikya and she at him. Clashing of swords could be heard all through the Palace...
Sesshoumaru burst into the throne room covering his nose from the stench of blood and poison for a moment the smell hitting him like a stone wall. Looking all around him were the headless bodies of guards and some were in pieces. At the bottom of the steps to the throne was the headless body of the War Lord Hikori.
Following the steps with his eyes the young Lord gazed upon the still body of a black and green clad warrior their hair in their face seeing as their head was bowed. In their right hand they held a bloody sword of ancient demonic origins and in the left, the head of the dead War Lord.
Watching as the green hair washed blue the scent of the person changed and washed through the room, somewhat refreshing it with the scent of cherry blossoms, lotus and freesia.
"How good of you to join me Lord Sesshoumaru." she said quietly lifting her head her hair parting to revile her burning green eyes. She smiled slightly the green fading in her eyes to be replaced by her normal light sky blue.
"Female, What have you done?" the dog demon asked his golden eyes staring into her blue orbs.
"Are you blind?" she asked giving a small insulted laugh, "I have rid your father of mine. And I have done myself a favor. We both no longer have to deal with the burden of wars and I no longer have to worry about marrying you. I know you did not wish it from the start. I will rule in my fathers place and our territories can be at piece."
"You can not rule in a males place." he said emotionlessly now at the base of the throne.
"Who's going to stop me?" she snapped tossing her father's head at the stairs so it rolled and bounced down and made a sickening crack next to Sesshoumaru before it rolled away. Sesshoumaru glanced at the head and watched it desinigrate from poison injection. Tikya's hand dripped with poison from her left claws then it stopped and the slight glow left her limb.
"Our War is over, he paid the price of his head and I have taken a claim to my fathers land. Don't tell me you are going to try and take that from me when I have proven only a small amount of my power to you already Sesshoumaru." her voice was strong and intimidating but angry.
The Demon Lord was silent. But the silence did not last. Foots steps came down the hall to the throne room then into it...
