Forgive me Father

Thanks for all of the Reviews that i got while i was away!
I"m sorry that it's short. It's the best that i could pull together while i am down with the flu/really nasty cold.
The more reviews i get the sooner i'll have the next chapter up.

Inuyasha couldn’t hide the stunned look on his face. Who the hell was this guy? There was no way that the person in front of him could be him. Could there? Was it possible? Inuyasha’s mind raced.
“Prove it”
“How do your propose that I do that Inuyasha? Should I tell you about your difficult childhood? How about your feelings for Kagome and Kikyo, or the true battle that wages inside you, that you refuse to let any one know what is really going on?” Inuno smiled.
Inuyasha’s eyes widened. ‘no way. How could he know about that… maybe he is bluffing…that’s it he’s bluffing.’ Inuyasha thought.
“Nope you are wrong Inuyasha, I’m not bluffing. I know what you are thinking because I was in your exact position 500 years ago. Confronted with someone claiming to be me. The confusion that followed. I assure you that things will get better. Kagome is going to be staying here for another two days. We are going to go back. and I am going to teach you a thing or two about how you can control…it. I will also be doing a lot of explaining. So feel free to ask me any questions that you might have.” Inuno stood up. “but first things first.” He placed his fedora on Inuyasha’s head. “I can’t have you getting everyone’s attention with those ears now can I?”
“If you are me…where are your ears?” Inuyasha pointed to Inuno’s bandana. Inuno smiled and pulled it back to reveal his silver dog ears.
“They never left. Unfortunately neither did this…” Inuno pulled out Kaede’s Rosary. “so behave yourself around Kagome… else we both go down. I have no interest in reliving that part of my past. Got that?”
“You mean that I never get rid of that?!” Inuyasha pointed in shock at the rosary.
“Nope. You are stuck with it for a very long time. I am going back to get Kaede to take it off. She is the only person that can. Not even Kagome can. Nor Kikyo. Only the person who placed it can remove it. Proof enough for you Inuyasha?”
“…No… but I think that I can trust you.” Inuyasha glared at Inuno. Inuno laughed.
“Exactly as I remember it. Strange how things work out. Now we should be going. Or we will be late meeting Kagome. Oh and Inuyasha, prepare yourself to meet the ground, if I remember things correctly, we will be meeting ground within five minutes of meeting up with Kagome. Just thought that I would warn you now.” Inuno called over his shoulder to Inuyasha as he bounded in the opposite direction of Kagome’s school.
“OYI! Kagome’s school is in the other direction! If you were me you would have known that!” Inuyasha yelled at Inuno.
“I do know that but she isn’t out for a while… if we don’t hurry we will be late. I have some place to take you before we go… it will make you stand out less. Since we are going to be waiting for her… you can’t exactly walk around in feudal clothing. People tend to stare…attention is the last thing that demons want in this era. You will learn that now. No demon walks around in their demon form here. They are in hiding. Like you should be. Now come with me before that priest three blocks over notices us.” Inuno yelled to Inuyasha from the next building, before he continued. Inuyasha followed.

They landed on a balcony of a large apartment building. Inuno knocked on the glass door three times before a flustered Neko Youkai answered it.
“WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU WANT?!” Takai yelled at his best friend, catching sight of Inuyasha, going for Tetsusaiga he opened the door to let them in.
“You weren’t kidding were you.” He stared at Inuyasha.
“No I wasn’t Takai. I’m here to get a few things. So that he doesn’t get killed.”
“Yeah, wow… Inu-ni-san, you look just the way that I remember…Inuno never dresses in that anymore.” Takai pointed at the Fire-Rat Haori. Inuno had walked off into another room leaving the two of them together.
“Neko youkai?” Inuyasha pointed at Takai.
“You haven’t met me yet have you?”
Inuyasha shook his head.
“I will be raised by Kaede, and your group, just like Shippo was.” Takai half smiled remembering his ‘brother’.
“Shippo was? What do you mean by was?”
“He is dea-” Takai was cut off.
“Inuyasha doesn’t need to know what happens after the war just yet.” Inuno cut in. “here Inuyasha let’s get you into some modern clothes.” Inuno led Inuyasha into another room.

Inuno handed Inuyasha a sword shoulder bag.
“Put Tetsusaiga in here. That way you can still carry it around.”
Inuyasha nodded, and placed Tetsusaiga in the bag folding the top back over it, he waited for further instructions.
“This” Inuno held up a shirt. “Goes where that” he pointed to the top of the Haori “is.” Handing the black tee over to Inuyasha. “It goes over your head.” Inuno added for clarification, as Inuyasha removed his inner and outer robes. Inuyasha fumbled at bit while trying to get it over his head, with a little help from Inuno he managed to pull it down to his waist. Inuno laughed to himself as he read the shirt that Inuyasha was now wearing. – Icha Icha Paradaisu! – One of his old manga obsessions.

((AN; oh you know that I had to include a little Kakashi humor! – for those who don’t know Icha Icha Paradaisu! is a manga written by Masashi Kishimoto. It didn’t do well and was stopped but it was placed in Naruto as Kakashi is constantly reading it – Kakashi is Naruto’s sensei with one eye… well one and a sharingan eye… back to the story))

“This is the hard part. These,” Inuno held a pair of black jeans. “Go where that is.” He pointed to Inuyasha’s pants. Inuno showed Inuyasha how to undo and redo the button and how the zipper worked. Several minutes and multiple curses later, and a brand new Inuyasha stepped out of Takai’s bedroom.
“You will blend in now.” Takai said in shock as Inuno had managed to pull Inuyasha’s hair back at the base of his neck. The rosary hung on the outside of the Icha Icha Paradaisu! T-shirt. Inuno had put armbands around Inuyasha’s wrists and the Inu-hanyou was trying hard not to rip them off. Takai had to admit he looked like he fitted in… but then again looked completely out of place.

“Ready to go Inuyasha?” Inuno asks looking his younger self over again.
Inuyasha nodded and walked after Inuno as they walked over to the door.
“Sit.” Inuno motioned to Inuyasha. Inuyasha sat down by the door.
“What now?” Inuyasha asks as Inuno took a hold of one of Inuyasha’s feet and gently shoved a boot on. Inuno tied the laces then did the same to the other foot. When he was done he smiled and said, “Now we are almost ready to go and get Kagome.”
Inuno stood up and adjusted his own shoes that he hadn’t taken off. Then opened the door and they left through the front door this time.

They walked to Kagome’s school, Inuyasha lagged behind Inuno.
Inuno leaned back and said “The boots take some getting used to don’t they?”
“How in the hell do you walk in these things?”
“With much practice. For now just don’t drag your feet and you should do fine.”
Inuyasha grumbled at this comment. But continued to follow Inuno to Kagome’s school.

When they arrived classes had already been let out.
“Your stop made us late!” Inuyasha growled at Inuno.
“Don’t worry Inuyasha we have plenty of time.”
Inuyasha growled.
“Oh god stop that you are starting to sound like Sesshou…” Inuno commented
“So what happens to our brother?”
“He lives. That is all that you need to know right now… AH! KAGOME-CHAN~!”

Kagome looked up at the sound of her name… there to her disbelief stood Inuno… and whom she assumed was Inuyasha… Inuyasha stood leaning against the gates to the school glaring furiously at Inuno who was waving at her. Kagome stared. Inuyasha was in modern clothes. She hadn’t thought of putting him in modern clothes because she thought that he would complain… but there he was. He was wearing Inuno’s black fedora, and what she could only assume were Inuno’s clothes. Inuyasha turned and looked at her.
“Ano… Inuno what is wrong with Kagome?”
“I think that you shocked her.”
“OY Kagome!” Inuyasha called. “Are you coming?”
Ayumi came up from behind Kagome. “Is that him? Is that your boyfriend?”
Kagome nodded. “The one on the left” she pointed to Inuyasha. Then started walking towards him.
Inuno smiles. “I figured if I picked him up he would actually get here on time.”
“Ah… Arigato Inuno” Kagome smiles, then waves goodbye to Ayumi.
“So what do you think?” Inuno asks referring to Inuyasha.
“Whoa…. I didn’t think it would be possible to get Inuyasha into modern clothes. Inuyasha… you look great!” Kagome smiled at him.
Inuyasha turned his head away and made a ‘keh’ sound.
“I was told that Demons had to - ” Inuyasha was cut off as the toe of his boot caught on a slightly raised piece of sidewalk, sending him straight to the ground, flat on his face.
“Inuyasha is not used to the shoes yet…” Inuno smiled trying not to laugh at his past self’s predicament. Remembering that it was only one of them that went down when they met Kagome. Thankfully one of them kept their dignity.
“Inuyasha! Are you alright?” Kagome asks franticly as she runs over to where he toppled.
Inuyasha rubs his head, causing the fedora to fall off. Inuno reached down brushes his hat off then replaces it on the Inu Youkai’s head.
“Shall we go back to your place Kagome… at least there we will know that we can talk freely.”
“Hai” Kagome nodded, and the three of them walked the rest of the way to Kagome’s house with out Inuyasha further defacing his pride.

“Tadaimasu!” Kagome called into the empty hall.
“Okairi!” Kagome’s mother calls from the kitchen.
“Mama, I brought Inuno and Inuyasha home.”
Kagome’s mother stuck her head out from the kitchen door. “Why hello Inuno… Mai mai, Inuyasha you look great!”
“Doesn’t he!” Kagome smiles.
Inuno took off his shoes then looked up at Inuyasha…
“Now we take these off… so you don’t take mud in all over the house.”
“ahn” Inuyasha nodded, then sat down so that Inuno could take the blasted things called shoes off of him. Inuno easily pulled the shoes off as Inuyasha stared in amazement; it was easier to take them off than it was to put them on. Inuyasha cracked his toes as they felt some freedom from the restriction of the shoes… but were still trapped in the socks that Inuno had made him put on. Inuyasha then followed Kagome up the stairs.
“You people and your stupid habits… why would you confine your feet in those horrible things… AND they make you look bad too!” Inuyasha expressed his opinion to everyone.
“Inuyasha…” Kagome growled.
“They are completely usless…”
“Osuwari!” Kagome said down the stairs as Inuyasha had reached the 11th step. He fell straight to the step then slid down the following 10 steps. At the bottom of the stairs Inuno was also face first in the ground. Kagome’s eyes went wide.
“Inuno!” she raced down the stairs, past the inebriated Inuyasha. Inuno was helped to his feet by Kagome.
“Thanks Kagome…”
“Why The Hell Do You Go And Run Over And Comfort Him When You Do Something Stupid Like That?”
“Inuno…gomen” Kagome smiled at the older Inu. Then turned and glared at Inuyasha.
“OSUWARI!”
Both Inu youkai fell to the ground.
