Long awaited confessions

Saturday evening, 4:00M (Los Angeles Grand Central Park.)
Inuyasha and Kagome had a nice time at the park.
They had chatted about the old days and how everything used to be so care free.
As Inuyasha and Kagome sat on the park bench near the water fountain, Inuyasha couldn’t help but not to keep his eyes off of Kagome as she chatted away about gossip that’s been going around the offlatelately.
“And so Karen said that James and Jenny from three floors above your office are having an affair, as you know Jenny is with Peter and James is with Martha.” Kagome babbled on as Inuyasha just listened.
He had no idea whom these people were but he loved to listen to Kagome talk.
Inuyasha nodded his head occasionally pretending he knew something of what she was talking about or that he was even listening to half of what she had said. All he could do is stare at her with loving admiration.
“Hello.. Inuyasha? You hoo.. Any one home?” He heard her say as she waved her hand in front of his face, snapping him out of his trance. “Oh, sorry Kagome, I was just lost in thought. Now what were you saying again?” Kagome giggled some at Inuyasha. “Oh it was nothing important, I was rambling anyways. It’s getting late you know Inuyasha.. Are our plans still on for dinner?” Inuyasha nodded at Kagome and smiled. “Yes, they’re still on Kagome. C’mon lets go. I know a nice little small restaurant we can go to, it’s nice and quaint. It’s the place I sometimes like to go to during lunch to just get away from it all.” Kagome nodded as she watched Inuyasha stand up and take her hand to lead her back to the car. Inuyasha never let go of hers. Kagome felt her heart melt even more from the soft touch of his hand. As they got into the car and headed to the restaurant; it was Kagomes turn to listen.
Kagome listened about how Inuyasha loved the restaurant that he was taking her to and how they had the best steaks in all of Los Angeles.

Saturday evening, 5:00 PM (Kammy’s Burger and Steak house.)
They pulled up into the parking lot of the restaurant called ‘Kammy’s Burger and Steak house.’
Kagome giggled as she saw the name if the restaurant.
She’d always known how Inuyasha loved the low-key settings and places that were more down to earth.
It really was a small quaint restaurant, hidden by a few trees.
Kagome loved the small and quaint little restaurant.
When they walked in she saw a bar, a few booths in the back and a small but nice hardwood dance floor.
Kagome felt Inuyasha taking her hand and dragging her to his favorite quiet little cozy booth in the back.
Inuyasha smiled sweetly at Kagome as she sat down across the booth from him.
“So Mr. Hara, What will you have? Your usual?” Inuyasha d thd the waitress ask.
“Nah, Not to day Jane, I’ll let my friend here decide.” Inuyasha said as he looked over at Kagome whom was looking threw a menu. “Oh.. Um.. I don’t think that I know what I want Inuyasha go ahead and get your usual and I’ll have whatever that is,” Kagome said as she handed her menu to the waitress.
“Ok.. That’ll be two half-pound medium rare steaks with some fries and a coke.” The waitress said as she wrote down the order on her pad. “It’ll be ready soon.” Said the waitress as she walked off.
The song “The Way” By Clay Aiken comes on.
“Ooo.. I love this song.” Kagome says as she starts to hum to it.
“Would you like to dance Kagome?” Inuyasha says a little hesitantly.
“Sure.” She said sweetly.
Inuyasha took Kagomes hand and walked her to the dance floor.

Inuyasha smiled deeply at Kagome as she wrapped her arms around his neck and looked gently into his eyes.

Inuyasha dipped Kagome some and then spun her around once..
Kagome giggled some as she laid her head on his shoulder and swayed back and fourth with him.

Kagome sighed happily as she felt Inuyasha tighten his arms around her waist.
Kagome truly did love this.

Inuyasha felt like he was in heaven.. He felt like his heart was complete.
Inuyasha had to tell Kagome tonight how he felt one way or another.
No matter what the outcome of it, he just had to tell her.
Inuyasha could no longer go without confessing his feelings to his one true love;
It was eating him up inside every time he held them back.
Kagome smiled up at Inuyasha, wondering what he was thinking while they danced.
She gaat hat his charm and loved how wonderful at dancing he was..
Kagome couldn’t deny that she loved him... She knew she did…
Only if she wouldn’t have said yes to Miroku.. He’d be hers..
Only if…

She felt his lips move closer to hers..
But as soon as their lips were about to touch, both of them heard the waitress say, “Hey you two, your dinner is ready.” snapping them out of it. Kagome shrugged and giggled some as Inuyasha blushed and walkack ack over to the table with her..
They had a nice dinner and chatted a bit more about the past and what their plans were for the future; but never once did either of them mention their fiancés.
After they were done they decided to head back to Inuyashas place so Kagome could pick up her car an hom home.
This had been a wonderful day for Kagome.

Monday evening, 6:00 PM (Inuyasha and Sango’s Apartment.)
It had been a nice drive home.
The ride was silent; each of them lost in their own little thoughts.
Inuyasha was thinking back to how he almost kissed her..
How soft her lips would have been…
How she felt in his arms…
How much he loved her with all his heart..
He wondered if he should tell her how he feels when he gets back to his apartment.
He thought of how she’d react. And what she’d say.
Inuyasha was partly afraid of rejection, but he didn’t care.
He had to tell her how he felt one way or another.
Kagome had been lost in her own thoughts about Inuyasha.
Her mind also wondered back to the dance floor of the restaurant.
When he’d almost kissed her; and how much she longed for it, for him.. His love.. His touch and embrace…
Kagome damned the waitress for bringing their food at that moment.
Kagome could only wonder if Inuyasha felt the same about her…
Or if it was a spur of the moment kinda thing.
They had finely arrived back at the apartment.
Inuyasha parked the car in his usual parking spot outside his house.
“Kagome..” Inuyasha whispered softly as he turned of the engine of this car. “Yes Inuyasha?” Kagome asked puzzled at what he was about to say.
“Kagome.. I have to tell you something..” Inuyasha said nervously.
“What is it Inuyasha?” Kagome asked worriedly, thinking that he was about to tell her that they couldn’t hang out anymore and that she was fired as his secretary.
“Kagome.. I.. I..Well…Um.. Kagome I love you.. I’ve loved you since the day I first laid eyes on you.
The day you first told me hello. I’ve loved you so much..” He blurted out blushing a bit.
Before she coresprespond He continued “ I just had to tell you Kagome.. I know you don’t really feel the same since you have Miroku and all. I know you’ve never felt the same about me. But that’s ok.. I just had to tell you Kagome, No matter what the out come of me telling you is.. I just had to tell you..” Inuyasha said, as he looked down prepared for the hurt and rejection of his confession.
Kagome was surprised. Was she really hearing this?
Could this have been true? Or was it a dream? She had longed for this moment for so long....
No.. This couldn’t be a dream.. “Oh… Inuyasha! I love you too! I always have Inuyasha. I don’t even know why I had gotten with Miroku all those years ago.” She said as tears swelled up in her eyes.
She continued, it being her turn to cut him off “ I guess it was because I was lonely and I wanted to be with someone and you’d never had let any more than feelings of friendship show towards me.. But Inuyasha… I do, I love you too..”
Kagome said as a single tear dropped from her eyes, her heart was meltin

Inuyasha was shocked and yet mortally happy. Did Ke jue just give him the kind of answer he wanted?
Did she really love him too?
She did.. Inuyasha was overjoyed.
Inuyasha smiled lovingly and looked deeply into Kagome’s eyes.
He wiped the tear away from her cheek.
Inuyasha slowly leaned over towards her, Kagome leaned in forward as her lips parted some..
He slowly placed his lips to hers for a soft dkisskiss.
Kagome felt her world spin. If she thought the kiss in their play was great.. She was wrong.. This was great. No, greater than great. It was extravagant and truly wonderful.
After they pulled away for air, Kagome blushed a deep mixture of reds and soft pinks.
“I love you Kagome..” Inuyasha whispered into her ear softly, his left hands fingertips gently caressing her cheek as he nuzzled against her.
“I love you too Inuyasha.. So much..” She whispered softly back melting at his touch.
After a few moments Kagome smile Inu Inuyasha as they started to get out of the car.
Kagome walked slowly towards her car, her mind racing and playing over what just happened.
Before Kagome got to her car, she felt Inuyasha catch her in a hug and another loving kiss.
“Bye my loving Kagome.. I’ll call you tomorrow. Maybe we can do something else again?” Inuyasha said as he hugged her a bit tighter and then let go.
“Yes Inuyasha, that’d be wonderful.” Kagome said as she gazed into his almost golden like eyes. “Bye bye Kagome.” Inuyasha said as she got in her car. “ Byes Inuyasha” Kagome said as she cranked her car and backed out of his driveway.
Inuyasha stood there until he saw her Blue convertible ‘Pt cruiser’ disappear in the distance..
This was one memorable day for him.. He was so happy she felt the same.. Inuyasha felt no shame for loving Kagome. Even if he was currently engaged to Sango..
Both returned to their apartments, their hearts pounding, and minds racing wondering if what just happened was real…

Yay! fifth chapter! Review please. I'll dedicate next chapter to nothing but Sango and Miroku. Since it was nothing but Kagome and Inuyasha in this one.
