The Truth Shall Set Him Free

Lady Kaede sat in her hut reading the spirits in the air and pondering their meaning.
It will rain tomorrow. The spirits then changed direction and the energy of a certain hotheaded dog demon she knew approached the hut.
"Ah, Inuyasha I presume you and Kagome have returned." The old priestess asked cheerf.

Hmmm, Kagome and Inuyasha. Their auras have become one. Their hearts are connected I can feel it. Hurmph, 'bout time, I was afraid those two were too hard headed to ever tell each other. Glad to know I was wrong.
"Hello, Lady Kaede waving his hand in front of her face, "hey, you old codger are you there?"
"Inuyasha that's very rude, especially after all the times Kaede has healed you." Kagome said.
"Fine, fine, Lady Keade are you there we need to discuss some thing's with you."
Keade, who had still been pondering the two of them, came to her senses.
"Same attitude as always." She said with a hearty chuckle. "Well what did you want to ask, I take it has to do with you and Kagome's new relationship?"
Sango spoke up, "Miss Keade how did you..."
"Don't worry child, it is their auras. They are aligned and are strengthening one another. So Inuyasha what is it you needed to ask."
"Well its two things and I'd like to discuss them between you, me, and Kagome. Sorry Sango and Miroku. Were going be busy for a while, you guys can take care of Shippou while we talk."
"No it's fine Inuyasha; in fact Sango and I were planning on doing some things in priv... Oww."
The monk was suddenly interrupted by Sango's hand pinching his ass. Who then piped up, "Oh don't worry about us, and you guys have your little talk." She grabbed Miroku and the little bundle of orange fur who was Shippou, currently sleeping, and exited the hut.
"Those two will have a very strong and prosperous marriage. That Lecher is going to have more heirs than he thinks." The elderly priestess teased.
"Miss Keade, how did you know about those two, are their spirits connected like Inuyasha and mine?" She asked as she and Inuyasha sat down holding each others hands.
"Yes, but also who do you think married them." Grinning slyly.
The three of them laughed out loud.
"Now down to business. Inuyasha, you do realize that your new found feelings are going to give your enemies a powerful incentive to hurt Kagome. Much like your parents, I hate to say sadly. And that includes Naruka and my sister... Kikyo."
"Well not Kikyo she is no longer a threat to Kagome, a few nights ago just before we left Kikyo confronted us. She actual shot Kagome, but because she and Kagome are the same spirit and soul her spell backfired. She was sealed away and put to rest. las last remnants of her soul, the wickedness and evil bestowed upon her due to the events of 50 years ago, were finally sent to the afterlife."
Keade pondered this for a few minutes. Oh sister, I am so glad,r rer restless soul may no longer harm the living. I am sad for your fate but it is for the best.
"Well that does take care of matters. And in probably the best fashion. I shall have to make purification’s prayer for my sister's spirit, but that can wait. And the second thing you wished to speak with me about?"
It was Kagome's turn to talk, "Inuyasha and I were wondering if you could also marry us, like you did with Sango and Miroku. But we want to know if there's anyway that it could be held in my time, away from any demons that would interrupt. We wanted to know if we could bring several people including you, Miyoga, Miroku, Sango, Shippou and Kilala through the well."
This time Keade took an even longer time to think before speaking. "Yes. Yes it can be done. We must all go through at the same time though."
At this Kagome looked approvingly into Inuyasha's eyes. He gave her hand a squeeze and nodded his head. Kagome suddenly jumped up from her spot and rushed over to the old priestess.
"Thank you Keade."
Keade hugged her back. Happy that her closest thing to family loved her. "Don't worry child, everything will be fine. Now, when would you like to arrange this?"
Inuyasha interrupted, "As soon as possible, if that’s no problem with your family Kagome."
"OH MY Gosh I completely forgot to ask them. I can't very well show up with a group of strangers and tell her I'm getting married. And MY grandfather hasn't even given Inuyasha pro mission to have my hand yet."
"Umm, actually I do."
"What?"
"That's what your grandfather was asking me the other day. He said as long as I loved you and promised to protect you that I could have your hand."
Kagome just looked at him starry eyed. "You big jerk why didn't you tell me." She said between bouts of laughter. "But I still need to go back and tell them and my friends."
"OK, then it's decided, Rest for two days. Go back and tell your family, I'll arrange everything over here."
"Thank you, Keade." The two said in unison.
"Oh Inuyasha, we're going to get married. Come on, let's go tell the others then we can go and tell my family." Kagome gave one last bow to Keade then dragged Inuyasha by the arm out.
Inuyasha just mouthed the words thank you to Keade and then willingly let himself be lead out the hut door.
Hmm it's about time those two found each other. They will truly be great to one another. Now back to those prayers my sister's spirit properly deserves.

Several days went by and both families were informed of Kagome and Inuyasha's decision. Sango and Miroku both congratulated them. Kagome's Mom could only cry with tears of joy at the news. Sota just cheered his head off that his hero was going to marry his sister. And grandpa simply thanked him for looking out for his grandchild. Kagome's closest friends were informed and were invited to be maids of honor. Needless to say they were surprised at the sudden change of events, but the thought of what they would wear pushed doubts out of their minds. Finally the day arrived and Kagome and Inuyasha, gathered everyone in the feudal era by the well for their trip across.
Kagome told everyone how it was going to work, "Kagome you take Shippou, Miroku, Sango and Kilala. And I'll carry Keade through on my back."
"OK, but be careful with her. She can't hold on as much as me."
"Don't worry child, I shall be fine." Keade fussed at her.
"OK, let's go"
And with that Kagome jumped into the well holding her passengers by the hand. They landed with a soft thud as they were transported to the other era. Sota smiled down at them and threw down a rope ladder to help them up. He was quite surprised at who, and what climbed out. Kagome introduced everyone and went back to the well wondering what was keeping Inuyasha and Keade.

"OK Keade, hold on."
"Oww, could you move your sword? It is poking me in the stomach."
"Sheesh, OK fine here I'll lay it down and be right back for it.
He unhooked the Tetsusaiga and laid it next to the well lip. Mounting Keade back on his back he told her to hold on and jumped through. He didn't even wait for Sota to drop the rope he jumped out and dropped her off, not all too graciously
"Kagome, I'll be right back I just left something. I'll be 2 seconds my love."
Kagome blushed deep red, and just nodded modestly at him and his show of public affection. Inuyasha jumped back down the well and jumped back to the top to grab his sword. But just as he reached for it, he sensed something near by.
No! Not him, not now I don't have time for this.
"Hello...brother."
Sesshomaru stepped out of the tree line and glared at his younger brother.
"So where'd did you think your getting off to."
"I don't have time for you right now. I'm not going to be late for my wedding." Inuyasha yelled at him with some vehemence.
His older brother just gawked, "Oh, so you and that Miko reincarnation, Kagome isn't it, are becoming mates, how nice. But it is you who do not have time." Sesshomaru reached down and drew his evil sword Tokijim "Draw your sword Inuyasha it is time we settled this."
Oh Kagome, I'm sorry. Please wait for me; I'm going to be there soon.... I hope.
