A/n: HiHi! Umm, well here is the 5th chapter. The fourth one keeps screwing up for some reason so please excuse it. If I can't get it to work, Kagome told Sango about what happened, and Sango got all happy for her. But then she started getting all depressed because she doubted Miroku would ever feel that way for her. And Kagome consoles her and then they head back. But it's better to read it. So I'll try to get it to work, k? ^.~ Annnnyway, here's he fifth chappie. Enjoy! And please review to tell me how I'm doing. thankies!
The sunlight drifted lazily into the hut, as Kagome flickered her eyes open. ' Was it all a dream?' The fleeting thought echoed again and again in her sleepy mind. But as she quietly sat up, careful not to wake the others around her, the thought was erased from her mind as she saw Inuyasha, leaning up against the nearest wall, watching her. Her heart skipped a beat at the look in his eyes; pure adoration. She gave him a sleepy smile before very carefully getting up and sitting next to Inuyasha by the wall. "Ohayou." She whispered sleepily before leaning her head on his shoulder.
" Ohayou." he answered, removing his arm from his side, and wrapping it around her waist. "Such a beautiful day, ne?" he asked, turning his gaze to her once again, only to find she was asleep. The filtered rays of the sun flitting across her pretty features, her black hair shining. He shook his head before looking around. No one was up so... He carefully allowed his head to lean against hers, as he shut his eyes.

Miroku awoke to the odd sight in front of him. Now it wasn't uncommon for Kagome and Inuyasha to snuggle, this was different. He smiled at his two friends, before his gaze turned to the sleeping girl, only a couple feet away from where he lay. It was amazing, the thought of how much he wanted to gather her in his arms at that very moment. But instead he just shut his eyes, denying the thoughts and dreams rushing through his half awake mind. He stood, and careful not to awake Sango, and his two cuddling friends, he walked out into the new morning sunshine. He sighed as he sat right near the hut, watching the sun sweep over the village. It was going to be a beautiful day. One more beautiful spring morning he would live to see. A look of sorrow crossed his face, as he played with the beads on his right hand. But how many more days would he live to see? He let his hand fall to his lap as he sighed, allowing his head to drop as he closed his eyes as tightly as he could. Why had his family had to put up with the damn curse!? Why not someone else’s! He knew it was a horrible thing to think, but he couldn’t help it. No one else knew what it was like to live like this. Not knowing when your last year, month, week, or day was to live! Being at the mercy of a soul-sucking hole! But when he felt a light touch one his shoulder, he quickly opened his eyes, lifting his head.
“ Sango?” He asked softly, as he watched the girl sit next to him, her knee’s pulled up to her chest.
“ Are you okay houshi-sama?” she asked softly, the events of her dream still playing in her mind. The blood, the cries of anger, Naraku’s voice cackling, and the most vivid image, the chain, and the sickle, launching itself at her as she tried to run…..run…
“ Yeah, just thinking. But what about you? Are you alright?” he knew something was wrong. Just by the look on her face, the fear and uncertainty lying in her eyes. At that moment in time he couldn’t help but think she had seen and lived through so much. No family, her brother out to.. Well kill her.
An almost serene look passed over her face before she lowered her face to her hands, which were resting above her knees. ‘ Don’t cry dammit! Not in front of him! It was only a dream! One you’ve had for a long time now!’ But despite her thoughts, the tears came, the familiar burning at the back of her eyes. Whether her friends knew it or not, she cried a lot. When she was alone, when the rest of them were asleep. But now she wasn’t going to hide it. She raised her head from her hands, allowing them to fall down to her sides, resting on the grass, and continued to watch the early morning, the tears silently falling from her eyes. “ I…I had an old dream.” She answered, her voice cracking with a small sob. “ And it just made me think. That’s all. It seems we both like to think, ne?” she asked turning her gaze to Miroku her tears shining as the sun hit her face.
He nodded, a thoughtful expression crossing his face. “ Hai, we do. “
The two sat, now watching the early morning risers of the village set to their jobs. Both were, naturally, thinking of the other, not knowing when they would have time like this together again. Rarely did the Inu-gumi have some peace. But who could hold it against them? They were trying to save feudal Japan and themselves from Naraku! And as they continued to think, both unconsciously joined hands, as if it were the most natural thing to do. And they didn’t realize their predicament until it came time for them to go back inside.
