Chapter Five: Come Sweet Death

At the cave preperations were short, Sandra broke the barrier with such ease Miroku wondered if she had even truly needed the blood powerup. With the barrier down Inuyasha and Sandra proceeded into the darkness while Miroku stayed to guard the enterance, because his energy had not returned to him fully from the blood anointing ritual. After walking several steps Sandra could see a faint figure standing in their way.
"Well, Inuyasha" the figure said. "I never thought you would be able to pierce the barrier, but since your here, I shall consider destroying you a bonus to the shikon shards my minons have collected."
"Enough talk," Inuyasha growled drawing his sword. "FIGHT ME NOW!!!!!!!!" Inuyasha charged the figure, but was knocked back by a shower of purple sparks.
"AARRRGGG!" he screamed as the sparks covered him from head to toe pinning him to the ground. Tetsusiga landed with a CLANK about 3 feet from him.
"Fool." The figure laughed, "My barriers are superior to you neanderthal swords! for I am Larvathos, mystic ruler of the darkest relm"
"ENOUGH!" It was Sandra, Her crystal glowed fiercely as her blue streaks of hair turned white. " I will send you to hell!!" she said cooly and threw ther arms out and daggers of light rained from her fingertips towards Larvathos. The Purple Sparkes reappeared around Larvathos and batted them away. He chuckled at her.
"That all you got, bitch?" He said.
Sandra returned his smile. "Well, you know what they say...." she said raising her arms again, "If at first you don't succeed...." blue lightning flowed from her fingers instead this time, but once again the purple sparks neautralized her attack.
"Damn," she sighed, "That is one hell of a counterspell....." Laravoths laughed.
"Like that bitch? It's my personal favorite.... it nertralizes any magic spells cast of me......" But Sandra laughed.
"Oh, is that all it is??? In that case......." she grew silent and appeared to consentrate for a moment. "There..." she finally said after a tense moment. "I think I should be strong enough to beat you to death now."
"So you're not so dumb after all" he said sounding half amused. "But it's my turn now...." Before Sandra could speak a dark light shot out of his mouth and hit her, wrapping itself tightly around her neck.
"Ahhhhhhh...." she choked as the light squeezed her throat. She struggled to speak, but she was quickly loosing conscienceness, out of the cornner of her eye she saw something that scared her more than the thought of dying here in this world. Inuyasha was screaming....... no howling Sandra had never heard anything like it. She saw his eyes change to blood red as he broke free from the purple light that sealed him to the ground catching Larvathos off guard. In the distance she heard Miroku call her name.

Miroku had run into the cave after hearing the mass commotion, and froze was he saw Sandra pinned to the wall by the dark light. He was about to unleash his Wind Tunnel when he noticed Inuyasha. OH SHIT! his mind raced, Inuyasha had changed into a demon again, this had happened before but the other times Kagome had been the only one who could keep Inuyasha from killing them all along with his enemy. Inuyasha was now enraged and with one quick powerful swipe of his demon claws he cut Laravoths to ribbons. The Dark light around Sandra's neck vannished and she fell to the ground sputtering and coughing. Miroku found himself unable to move. What would happen? Would Inuyasha kill then both? Blood still dripping from his claws Inuyasha approached Sandra who had rose to her feet.
"I...Inuyasha...." Sandra whispered. But Inuyasha stared at her intensley, Sandra could sense something different about him......his aura had changed along with his appearance. Miroku knew something was wrong, Why wasn't Inuyasha slicing Sandra to cold cuts? He thought tohimself. Every other time he had changed he was like an animal....crazy with rage and bloodthirst. This time his was just standing there, Miroku saw him sniff Sandra. Sandra backed away from him, her mind raced FUCK, she thought. "Larvathos's darklight reopened the mark Inuyasha made on my neck!" She backed away more but found herself against the wall. Inuyasha grabbed her, she cryed out as he grabbed her hair and pulled her head to one side revealing the bleeding mark on her neck. She could feel his breath as he pulled her closer and licked the wound lightly before biting down hard. Sandra Screamed as she felt his longer fangs biting her neck, he was biting her MUCH harder than before; she screamed again was the pain intensifyed. From farther away Miroku found his strength and rushed Inuyasha swinging his staff at Inuyasha's back. Inuyasha released Sandra from his bite and turned suddenly and countered Miroku's staff strike knocking him back and to the ground. Miroku was sure Inuyasha would kill him, but before Inuyasha could close in for the kill he was struck by a blue blot. Miroku turned to see Sandra, Blood ran down her neck and she could barely stand. Stunbbling she made her was over to Inuyasha who had been knock to the ground. He growled at her, but Sandra quickly pinned him, her blood dripped on his face.
"Inuyasha......" Sandra Whispered almost to quietly, "I had no idea this would happen.....you don't deserve this.....let me bring you back.....Inuyasha....." A single tear fell from Sandra's eye. Inuyasha only roared fiercely and stuggled. Miroku was confussed, but before he could do anything he saw Sandra change, She began to glow... dimmly at first but soon the light became more and more filling the cave with goldenlight. Miroku strained to see what was happening but the light was too bright. There was a loud Crack and the light vanished, Miroku saw nothing but a big white blur for 3 minutes before his sight returned, and when it did he saw Inuyasha, he had returned to his formerself. He looked like he had tears in his eyes as he came towards him carrying a lifeless, bloody Sandra in his arms.
