On the way up the hill Inuyasha grabbed Kirara to so that he could practice with the Tetsusaiga. He turned to Kagura "Do not do anything to harm Kirara."

Kagura faced Inuyasha "I would not harm the neko. The only time I harmed anyone was on Naraku's orders. Besides the wolf demon that is. He just gets on my nerves because he is so cocky." She turned and started back up the hill.

Inuyasha followed her. So I'm not the only one to think so. He smiled at Kagura's back and ran ahead of her so she would have to run to keep up with him.
"You can't use your wind if I am going to use Tetsusaiga's attacks. And since I'm stuck with you that makes me your protector."

"I do not need a protector pup. But I will do my best to insure that my winds don't interfere with your attacks." She turned and after Inuyasha used his attack she would use hers. She was surprised that they worked so well together.
By the end of the afternoon she was ready for a rest. He was relentless. She was shocked by the amount of training he did. The way he charged into everything she never expected that he trained. Someone who trains that much should have better control over his anger. She would ask Kagome or Sango about it when she got back to the hut.

They returned to the hut to find the food ready to eat and Inuyasha took the bowl that Kagome offered him. Kagura was shocked. Did the pup have no manners. Kagome handed her a bowl "Thank you Kagome." She looked around the room and was pleased when she saw Kanna with Rin and Shippou. They had their heads together and whispering. She felt tears come to her eyes when she saw her sister acting like a normal child instead of the emotionless void that Naraku had made her. She watched Kanna approach her after she finished eating.

"Sister, Rin, Shippou and Kohaku are going out to catch bugs may I go with them?" Kanna smiled at her sister.

Kagura looked to Kagome and saw her shake her head so she told Kanna yes. After the kids left being followed by Sesshoumaru's toad Kagura turned to Kagome. "What did you do with my real sister? I don't think I have ever seen her smile."

Kagome managed to sit down beside Kagura with a lot of help from Sesshoumaru. She placed a hand on her stomach and smiled. "Rin and Shippou just have that effect on people. Besides we took her mirror and now she doesn't have to worry about anyone making her use it. She can have it back when she wants it. But for now we thought it best that she didn't have it. Until she got use to us all. Taking it away seemed to have released her from her inhibitions. Now she acts just like a kid and not like my mate. When I first saw Kanna she reminded me so much of Sesshoumaru. Neither one likes to show any type of emotion. I worked on one now its time for the kids to work on the other. I think she really enjoys just being a kid right now." She smiled at Sesshoumaru who just shook his head and left the hut. She watched Miroku follow him. Then she turned to Inuyasha. "Now if we could get rid of Inuyasha we could have a nice chat."

Inuyasha turned his back on the girls. "Like I want to hear what you all say. Besides it's not my fault that I am stuck here." He turned to glare at Kagura.

Kagura returned his glare. "It's not my fault either. Like I would choose you to be tied to. If I had my choice I could have picked many better candidates." She turned her back to Inuyasha.

Kagome just sat and listened to the arguments. She was getting tired of Inuyasha never knowing what was good for him. She put her hands together and started chanting. She watched a shield go around Inuyasha. That should do it.
"Now we can talk. He won't bother us. Nor can he hear us."

Inuyasha saw a bluish glow surround him. He tried to move but the barrier wasn't even big enough for him to stand in. He turned around and saw Kagome smiling at him. What did she do? He touched the barrier and sparks surrounded him. He felt pain go down his hand. He jerked his hand away. He could still feel the burning in his hand. He tried to draw Tetsusaiga but he didn't have enough room in the barrier to swing it. He tried thrusting it at the barrier and the sword bounced off the barrier and almost hit him in the head. He growled at Kagome as he watched all the girls start laughing. He couldn't hear them but he could tell.
He turned his back to them so he wouldn't have to watch them laugh at his expense. He would get even with Kagome for this.

Kagura watched Inuyasha try to get out of Kagome's barrier. Nothing he did seem to work but he didn't give up very easy. After he wore out all his options he glared at them and turned his back to them again. She turned and smiled at Kagome. "You have gotten better with your powers. I didn't think that you would still have your miko powers since you turned into a youkai."

"Not many do keep them and remain a youkai. I guess I was just lucky. Now tell us about you." Kagome smiled at the sorceress.

"I forgot to tell you earlier but Kikyou is part of Naraku's group and has been for a long time. They are lovers and he listens to her. She is mostly the cause of your problems. I think she is the brains behind Naraku." She looked at Sango and Kagome and watched them take in the information that she told them.

"Oh you poor thing first you have to deal with Naraku now you have to put up with being tied to Inuyasha." Kagome looked from Kagura to Inuyasha "It makes you wonder which one is worse. At least when he is acting like an idiot."

"At least with Inuyasha I am free well sort of and I don't have to listen to him and the dead one make love." She shuddered as memories of the scenes she saw flashed in her head.

"I saw Inuyasha with Kikyou on more than one occasion. It wasn't pleasant."
Now it was Kagome's turn to shudder.

"That was planned. Kikyou wanted you out of the way. She thought that you would leave and not come back. But you always did." Kagura smiled at Kagome this time.

"I couldn't leave. It is my duty to find the shards and to protect the Shikon no Tama. At least our group is growing in power and soon we will face Naraku for the jewel. He will not survive. Sango and I can not fight for a little while but hopefully Naraku doesn't press anything until after our babies are born." Kagome ran a hand down her stomach.

Kagura looked from Kagome who she could obviously tell was pregnant to the slayer who you couldn't tell as yet. "When are you both due?"

"Sesshoumaru said it usually takes six months but I am advancing quite quickly and they should be here soon. Kaede said my miko and youkai powers making me advance quickly. I can feel them kicking a lot now. And I am constantly hungry." Kagome heard a noise and watched Sesshoumaru walk into the hut carrying a plate of meat. She took it from him and waved him out of the room. She picked up her chop sticks and started eating.

Sango watched Kagome eat the raw meat and ran out the door holding her hand over her mouth. Kagura laughed at the sight. She knew the requirements that Kagome needed. Each demon was different and since she was a inu-youkai she needed blood and raw meat. "So how long did it take for you to get use to eating that?"

"I'm still having a little trouble but I will do what ever it takes to help the pups. But that doesn't mean I have to enjoy it. Sesshoumaru took me hunting for the first time earlier and I killed a deer and ate the whole thing." She looked down at her plate to find it empty. Well it must be getting easier. "So what did you and Inuyasha do today?"

"We practiced fighting. We had to find a way to fight together. My wind cancels out his Tetsusaiga so we had to find a way to work together. It wasn't easy but I think that we finally found a way to fight together. He is a hard task master. I would never have believed that he practiced so hard. Does he practice that hard all the time?" Kagura watched as Kagome held her stomach and started laughing. "What is so funny?"

"I don't think Inuyasha ever practices. He learned all his attacks by accident or while in battle. Maybe he just wanted to impress you." Kagome laughed again when Kagura's face started turning red.

Kagura turned to look at Inuyasha. "Are you sure he can't hear us?" She watched as Kagome nodded yes. "Don't tell him I said so but I think he is so cute. especially with those ears of his. I have always liked him that's why I always fought hard against him than anyone else." She sneaked another glance to Inuyasha and hurriedly looked away.

"The men are coming back with the children. I guess it is time for bed." Kagome tried to stand and had to sit back down. "I guess I will wait for Sesshoumaru to help me up." She turned and watched the children run into the room followed by Sesshoumaru and Sango and Miroku. Sango looked a little pail. "Are you ok Sango."

"I am fine but I don't think I will watch you eat anymore meat for a while so don't take offense." She sat down across the fire from Kagome.

Kagome looked down on Rin and Shippou. "Bed time." She heard their groans and chuckled at them. She held out her hand to have Sesshoumaru help her up.

Sesshoumaru watched his mate hold out her hand to him and he helped her up. Then he almost laughed when she knelt down to help the kids into the bed and couldn't get back up. So he walked over and helped her up then he looked over and saw his brother. "Why is there a barrier around Inuyasha?"

Kagome had forgot about the barrier. She turned and mumbled under her breath and hid behind Sesshoumaru.

Sesshoumaru didn't know what was going on so he grabbed Kagome's arm and helped her out of the hut. When they were outside he placed his arms around his mate and called his cloud. He floated off into the air and turned his head and watched his brother run out of the hut swinging his sword and shouting at Kagome and dragging Kagura behind him. "What did you do to him?"

Kagome laughed as she snuggled up to Sesshoumaru "I just placed a sound proof barrier around him while I talked with Kagura. I don't know why he is so angry about it?"

"So where should we go while he settles down?" Sesshoumaru nuzzled Kagome's neck.

"I would like to go hunting if you don't mind. I'm famished." Kagome reached her hand up and caressed his face.

"You want to go hunting at this time of night?" Sesshoumaru could hardly believe his ears.

Kagome turned around in his arms till she was facing him. She stood on her toes and whispered in his ear. "I don't believe I told you what I wanted to go hunting for." She ran her tongue around his ear and grabbed his shoulder when they suddenly dropped a few feet. "What happened?"

Sesshoumaru couldn't believe that he almost made them fall. "You should not do unexpected things like that while we are flying." He turned her around in his arms so that he could watch her better. He spotted a small lake and landed them there. "This should be far enough away from my brother."
